      Thanks so much for your support! I'm not planning on giving up... I love making videos a lot. :) In fact, I'm currently working on creating more of these kinds of personal story videos. If there's any topic you'd like me to cover, do let me know! I'm thinking of topics around confidence/ finding your voice (not listening to what other people say you should or shouldn't do)/ being stuck in a rut... let me know if there's anything else on your mind that I could give my 2 cents on! Thank you! 🙏

    Jaime. You are amazing. I worked with you many years ago before you committed to your enlightened journey. It’s a pleasure to watch and listen to you. I’ve been saying I want to do a silent retreat for maybe 20-30 years… maybe now is the time 😊. I also love yin yoga. Pls let me know of your teach in north London any time. In the meantime, I get positive buzz from your buzz & thank you 🙏

      BOBBY BRAY!! Of course I remember you! Was it a Pleix job? All I remember was some mega weather issues we had up in some mountains on that shoot 😅 …and I was already well on this journey at the time - been studying this for 20+ years now. Still at W+K, but teaching all of this on the side. So lovely to hear from you ❤️ you’ve got some great yoga teachers up in London. Check out Sarah Lo (one of Sarah Powers’ team of teachers): www.sarahlo.co.uk she’s in Buckinghamshire but does a lot online these days. ✨❤️✨

    I've always heard/thought about these. I feel like different things like this would be a cool challenge and really peaceful. I think at some point I will be doing a silent retreat or something of similar nature where you just disconnect. I think it's just a really cool idea and thing to do!

    Your video is very informative - just what I was looking for to get an idea of what is a silent retreat. I have the feeling that a silent retreat would be very beneficial to me and my wellbeing. I think I'm going to try a 3 day silent mediation focused retreat at home. I think just not verbally communicating for 3 days sounds so relaxing - and including no text, chat, etc. I will check out the website to plan a structured or hosted silent retreat in the future - fall sound like a good time - for a different experience. Thank you.

      You’re welcome! If it’s your first time ever on one, I highly recommend you do it with a skilled teacher first. Even though you’re in silence, the teacher is guiding you through an experience… and you’ll get more out of it. I wrote this article before about creating your own home retreat, with recommendations of who to train with: enlightenedspoon.com/blog/creating-your-home-retreat

    Does some people doing silent retreat for days ?

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  Год назад +1

      Yes! There are 3, 5, 7, 10, 30 days and upwards of silent retreats. It all depends what the intention of the retreat is for… best to learn with a teacher whose teachings you resonate with. (And of course the longer the time in silence usually helps when you’ve had more experience in meditation).

    should you drink coffee

    • @jaimetan
      @jaimetan  Год назад +1

      In what context? As with most things, “it depends”. It depends on your health goals, any existing/ underlying health issues, stressors, environment and reaction to caffeine. It’s a stimulant so those who are sensitive to caffeine may be affected more by it on a silent retreat and choose not to drink it. There’s never any hard and fast rule (there shouldn’t ever be), so you’ll need to assess what the answer means to YOU!

    I would probably go crazy because I just came back from schizophrenia after forcing myself to be back to the matrix.
    I went too deep into my mind that I saw reality as fluid and there was no anchor like I was just in a dream and it feels like I died.
    Maybe it only works for ordinary people and not for people who are by nature self-reflective.
