No, anyone who thinks Kamatsu is better, or even in the same league, has obviously never owned or operated a Caterpillar Dozer, or any piece of mining equipment. Some people get suckered into buying, what appears to be a good deal. They soon learn you get what you pay for. Check out the amount of repeat customers that Caterpillar has compared to Kamatsu.

in the machinery business, this is a tractor. Its made to pull or push things. Go to the dealer who sells these and he will call them tractors also. Its only a bulldozer when you put the blade on. I was Cat salesman, before you go to telling me what I know.
For the CNN crowd, welcome to the real world. Without these machines there would be no roads, no computer building and house to live in. I could go on but I think us smart folks get it.
they get some of their engines from south America...they have a plant down there...and we have shipped a bunch of cat stuff (including D-11s)...they ship minus the blade attached
Holy shit with the TRACTOR comments. A dozer is the blade attached to the front not the unit pushing it. Go on Cats website and Dozers are listed under "Wait for It" Track Type Tractors OOOOOHHHHHHHH Burn. And I think they would know seeing as how they pretty much invented tracks. Toured that plant in '96. The D11 had its own assembly line. Took about 1.5 days to build one at around $1 million.

It's the Caterpillar employees calling the unit a tractor - repeatedly. I guess since Cat makes the thing, Cat gets to decide what its called.
