the best part is, thanks to its modularity, its not outdated by overwatch 2, you can just use the cannon head with the legs for the artilery configureation, and the gatling gun and treds for assult configuration

Bastion can actually be pretty easy to counter if he's out of position, or simply outsmarted. Sadly, the latter almost never happens so players get angry way to easily -_-

Nice review, dude. I really like the overall design of this bot even though I'm not into Overwatch. But wooow on that box, glad the contests were ok!
Bastions one of my mains. I bought this fig as quick as I could find it. Mine had a broken finger though in the box but it's getting handled. I really enjoy it. But I agree that this is a off the assembly line Bastion Unit and not the in game Bastion we know and love. Almost want a second one to get customized. Would just have to choose between either his overgrown look or the base beat up model. Great Review Vangelus. Thanks for it. Not many people talk about this fig.

I've only played a little bit of Overwatch- but I'm a huge fan and simply lack the hardware to run it. I fell in love with Bastion as soon as I saw him on the character select screen.
I like his "overgrown" skin that was used in "The Last Bastion" animated short the most.

It made a few mistakes
One the head still faces forward no matter which mode
A core pops out of bastions chest when it becomes the back of turret mode and his chest pannels close up and thin out.
I would have liked a Ganymede to have the option to replace his base with a clip to attach to his fingers. And perhaps if the base was a magnet for small spots plugged into large surfaces.
I've had two items come from Japan and China from eBay recently and both of them had similar levels of box crush. I also live in Canada. Suspicious....

Some co. needs to make a legit transforming Bastion where he can actually transform between his robot, turret, and ult modes.

Gatling gun tank....predicted the future overwatch 2 Bastion.
See I've never been a huge fan of Overwatch from a gameplay perspective I just don't like competitive shooters but I love the character designs, personalities, and the world that's been created and Bastion is absolutely one of my favourites so I definitely want to pick this guy up

Looks great, but one question: I didn't see anything that looked like his "power core" would be able to slide out of his chest in turret mode like in-game. Is that detail there, or is the front of the chest just a solid piece with paint detail on the edges of what would be the hatch?
Sadly it's just a solid chest. The front panel can be pried off but there's just gray plastic nothing behind it

How did you get it
my biggest complaint is actually the gun arm's only-90-degree elbow. it limits his range of motion severely. that elbow joint is an eyesore, when the rest of the figure is so well articulated.
edit: my figure's leg assembly comes off of the joint plug very easily and, since it rests on two (admittedly somewhat thick) pegs which actually makes the whole thing feel kind of finickey, which is a shame. i WANT to love this figure, but that elbow, man, oh man, that elbow...

Bastion always looked like he took some design cues from Tankor. So when is DX9 going to make a Tankor?
Forgive me if I'm being dense, but what's stopping Blizzard dropping the banhammer on this? Also, are we likely to get re-releases/updates of this in the future cos right now it's hella sold out.
