I grew up in Brighton from a small child till I got married in 1972 then moved to London till my husband passed away in1979 then moved back to Brighton later got remarried worst thing I ever did after moving to Wales for a bit things along the way bad memories of Wales and of Brighton I don't think I could have ever moved back there used to love the place when I was a teenager in the 60's the beach was a regular place had many good memories back then but later years not good I remember the old days in Brighton was fun then I'm 73years old now and now live in Suffolk maybe one day before I leave this life I may have the chance to see the old place one more time.
The pier was closed to the public in 1975 when it was declared unsafe and gradually collapsed. It's major sections fell into the sea during storms in late 2002 and it was also caught by two separate fire incidents.
