ADT - the 'gift that keeps on giving! Today's subject: Saved clips that disappear for unknown reasons - changing the password doesn't help, leading me to believe this is an 'inside job'. Domestic disturbance outdoors this morning at around 0330 - female drove away. System automatically saved the clips from multiple cameras. Just checked the system (1000) and the saved clips are GONE! Not the first time. Had I not been up I probably would have not known about it. Can't fathom everything else I've probably missed.
This guy actually uses the system unlike most people that get a alarm and use it for a month and never use it alarms are preventive measures you will never know when a burglar will come in you should always use it even when at home teach your wife and kids to use it even at home
Yes exactly I always have it armed my nephew is only 6 is always over iam like his father figure he loves it and told me bad guys won't come he sets it by instinct now as soon as he comes he arm stay.and leaves arm away just amazing is possible you can pay the 63.00 dollars and have cameras to watch all around your outside home it really keeps well gives much tranquility a must try
This person gives a lot of information for people who don't know anything even I found out some new ideas any thing even as small as a crumb as long I and family are safe..is all I care iam very fortunate too have 8 cameras and the complete kit 63.00 dollars is not bad at all if you truly see the benefits and yes robberys or a burglar or especially at night it's amazing..not perfect just enough

@@lightmiso4962 How much do you pay monthly out of curiosity. My parents pay $75 a month for basic control(non pulse) with one or 2 sensors and I feel its just too expensive for what you can get out there
@@beigefox6579 I just purchase the system and was told I can get two of the items for free (like a doorbell camera and an outdoor camera) BUT I have to pay a higher price ($10/mos) for service $62.99. .. so that’s not free. I have glass break sensors which went off last night as I was driving a screw into my wall to hang a mirror… I also shutdown my internet at night and the control panel peeps and the light stays on on the panel until the internet kicks back on.. . which is annoying because you cannot turn off this light. But it does work so be careful doing house work at night if it’s armed.

Thank you for this video. I have an install scheduled to upgrade my current pulse to the new Command system. I've been with ADT for a very long time and no complaints. I wish this new system will come out with a tablet to be able to view cameras in the house so I can view it from the room vs doing it on my phone.

I like to upgrade my pulse service old panel to the new one. The reason I watched your video it’s because I tried to find out if I can bypass motion sensors remotely from the app without been present at the location... can you please clarify to me if with the new panel I can do that?

Thank you for the informative video! Does this system still have one of those main control panels that require a physical key to unlock in a closet? Or does the touchscreen panel just contain everything?
Touch panel controls everything. The one in the closet is for a wired system that can be integrated into ADT not recommended though.

Good presentation but I would have liked to see what you do with the alarm when you leave the house vs. alarming and staying in at night. Also what actions you need to do to when coming home and turning off the alarm. Lastly, if the alarm is activated by accident...what procedures you need to do.

Can you please explain how our cameras quit working as far as notifications that motion is detected and records what it is triggering the cameras? It only happens when a certain neighbor comes home and when he and his wife leaves in their semi truck our cameras all of a sudden starts sending notifications from days before and the day they leave. Not all it seems because it fills up the screen on the phone fast an it's so bundle up that you have to go through it and sypher through it. Some when you look at the video you can hear work being done and voices but shows nothing of who is doing it. Sometimes looks like the video is on a loop
I just had this new system installed and was told the other touch screens were not compatible with each other? So they installed the main touchscreen but a plain button controller had to be installed in the bedroom? Also my Alexa system will no longer work like Pulse?
I install these Command systems and I can say it’s really come along in function and speed (4g is a big part of the speed) The app does about anything you can want it to and more, most customers get a doorbell cam and maybe a few outdoor cameras, the cameras are all 1080p and pull up fast if installed properly. If you want the cameras to be used to thier full potential PLEASE have time and a laptop ready for the installer to demo these camera functions.

Hey man I bought a home with this system and it was in the old owner name and they paid for adt to monitor it. We chosen not to pay them to monitor it. Can we be the monitors and also how can I reset the system for my use
@@voiceforthevoicelesstruth5480 I believe your system should still work as far as an alarm on the house, it’s just not being monitored. If you are doing a reset you are going to need the code. Do you have it
@@mac7Attack1 yes I have her code I downloaded the command app and it won’t let me do a thing because I can’t setup an account on adt because I don’t pay. I do have the alarm working in the home now but no way to control a thing from my phone
will the burgler use a $2 device to trick the window / door open sensors? If they are wirelessly transmitting signals to the base.
My friend has a problem with this new ADT system where the settings are the voice tone are in yellow. Mine does not to that. How can u tell me what that older couple can do to fix this. Each time with alarm has been disarmed voice command when they open a door where ever in the home.
Let’s talk ADT-- I got ADT back in December of 2020 following a string of vehicle breakins in my subdivision. Upon installing ADT the workers did a test of my cable capabilities and told me that I could easily handle 2 cameras in the back of my house pointed at the carport. At this time they also tried real hard to sell me on doorbell cameras and window sensors but I declined because it was an unnecessary expense. They quickly had me sign a 3 year contract (making it sound as if this was for my protection, not theirs). And never giving me a copy of my contract reason being “it’s digital, not paper”.
Within a month I notice that the cameras were only working maybe 1/4 of the time. During this time my truck got broken into and it wasn’t even caught on camera.
They kept coming out but told me I needed to get my WiFi people out here.
By the time I got solid answers from AT&T and ADT that I need fiber optics verses the ancient underground cables my subdivision had - my 6 month trial period with which I could cancel ADT was over (ADT never told me about a 6 month trial period when installing).
Moving forward to June 2022
I’m paying 61.00 a month for ADT (which is pretty much worthless). Stuck in this contract until 12/23. Plus I was notified this past week that my bill will increase by 5.00 a month starting in July.
I wish I knew about a 6 mo trial period , been seven for me!!

@@rodrickthompson2799 when they just informed me of the increase in my monthly service I wrote them a letter telling them I have no intention of paying it as well as at midnight of the night my contract expires they are getting my written notice that my services will cease to exist. I also told them that a copy of this letter will accompany every monthly bill up until that date. I also demanded a copy of my contract.
Enjoyed watch your review of the Command System. Can a Zwave Ring doorbell be added? I have the door lock, but can't figure out where to create additional codes. I wanted to restricts so they be active for specific days or duration. Can this be done? Can we link the door lock to turn off the unit? Our panel is not near the door so I'd like to share a personal code that unlocks the door and disarms the alarm. Can either free standing Alexa or Firestick Alexa communicate with the command unit?
I am honestly not sure about a zwave ring doorbell being added. I would contact ADT for help with that.
What is the voltage requirement for the power transformer at the wall outlet for this panel? I need to replace it
I’m waiting for my installer today. I was told the cameras and installation is free. I have to pay $59 monthly. That sounds pretty good.
So what it mean when there red lock symbol on ur alarm screen does it mean it’s on or ready be on

Yes, there are indoor and outdoor sirens available. Or, you can have a WTS700 secondary portable keypad added to your system to sit on your nightstand.
I have the same system. Was not aware that it is so versatile. I am actually looking for a video on how to install the RC845 wireless camera. I know it should be simple but I just want to watch a tutorial before I attempt it.
I wish when someone pressed the doorbell their video appears on the panel like Vivint or google does. I know there’s a phone app but seeing it on the panel is so clutch

Great Video! One detail is missing or otherwise not explained. After you do system shutdown and replace the battery how do you start the system again?
I have never had to replace a battery in it. It's hard wired with a rechargeable battery.
Does the camera on the pad record the whole time or does it just takes pictures?
It only takes pictures when you arm/disarm the system from the pad.
A lot has been said about the old system. Do you have a video that you only talk about the new system?

I agree with you but I think we are so desperate for help and support because ADT can be so very difficult to get in touch with. They encourage us to use the online chat which I find annoying and dismissive for what is paid per month. I wish ADT would hire more representatives to help people over the phone ☎️ instead of chat. Yea , they offer that service but I’ve waited up to an hour on hold for a live representative. Yikes. Thank you for taking the time to do this video and answering all of these questions. I have this exact system and it is wonderful after my home was robbed by a scumbag I had the alarm system installed they worked perfectly with my financial situation it is well worth the money

Great video! When you installed ADT, did you have to pay an up-front cost to purchase the equipment, or do you just pay monthly for monitoring?
They offer both options.
We are paying monthly $29 up front. Note that you pay for the equipment but don't own it!

so how do you get the panel to dim and then go out after a few minutes? You touched on it around 1:30 that you can dim the screen but you don't say how
To dim the light go to tools put in ur code and go to settings on the bottom left u will see volume and brightness under the volume u can dim the panel.
How do you set a time for alarm to be on automatically. For example 11pm-6am? Its super annoying that I have to set myself everyday. Also I don't have an option to set a routine for it

This panel broke in my house. Has a white screen. can no longer control remotely as well. Im cancelling ADT, can I keep and use the ADT cameras, is there a hack to continue to use ADT cameras without ADT?

This is a Command keypad. Yes, you can upgrade to this.

I wasn't told anything about the camera on the control panel when it was installed. A competitor told me when they knocked on the door looking for a sale. When does the control panel take a picture and how can I see it? There's no mention of it on the app- just the doorbell and exterior cameras.
It definitely takes a picture when someone operates the system. You probably just had a rookie salesman.

Most google devices won’t be able to be presided. All work off your WiFi connections and will integrate wireless with the alarm
OK ADT, we had the new improved ADT Command system installed. All is well with the panel and the phone app. Couple a of days ago, the batteries needed changing on the smoke detector. We changed the 4 batteries and still kept beeping. 4 calls to your office and we still did not get rid of the beeping. What needs to adjust for it to stops?. It can beep 1 time every half hour or 5 times every half hour. No set time, very random. The detector is part of the package with your panel and connected to the command center.
Sorry but I don't work for ADT. You need to talk to ADT about that.
If it is an ADT smoke or CO detector, the keypad will display a trouble, if you don't see that, more than likely it's a builder smoke, smokes that cone with the home

I just had a client steal my trailer and tools after working on his home. He has this same system. I would like to know how long ADT keeps the video and if it can be subpoenaed? The video can help me prove my case.
I don't know the answer. I would recommend talking to a lawyer.
The Cloud with video lite package from ADT stores 6K clip history
I believe you should be able to get the video as evidence. The cameras keep over 1k hrs of video, you would have to go through your lawyer if the guy doesn't agree to let you have the video.
Is this compatible with blue by adt products?
Our unit has a power cord. Finally discovered how to get it plugged back in.

I just like my simple one button guns. Or one pull back bow n arrows lol. An alarm system will only detour someone at night time looking for a random lick to hit. It's not ever going to protect you against a real attack or immediate threat... Alarm systems are basically glorified cop callers and loud noises... a shotgun is how you keep you n your loved ones alive lol...

@@solarpanel8195 a combination of all of the above (monitored alarm, guns, and dogs) is my preference. Alarms have their place, especially if my focus is on clearing my home and protecting my family. Knowing that back up is en route is a good feeling

I never got the whole sign thing. I guess in theory would be burglars will see the sign and then back off but in reality they just bring attention to your home and if they’re pros you’ve just advertised your security system and they’ll know what they’re up against. Also the signs are ugly. Get a security system and don’t advertise if someone is on your property that isn’t supposed to be there then fuck him
Signs definitely make thieves skip your house. It's like having a seatbelt, you hope you never have to use it but if something actually does happen aren't you glad you had your seatbelt on? Of course you are.

So i had my system armed while home (arm stay). My mom was visiting and well she is one of those people that cleans people's homes for a living. One Saturday morning she decided to start cleaning our window blinds while my wife and i were sleeping and she triggered the window alarm. She freaked the hell out when the loud alarm went off and so did my wife and i. I mean i heard the damn thing upstairs and this is a pretty big house i live in but i managed to shut off the alarm in time and didn't receive a call from ADT or a visit from the cops. Yes my mom knew there was a alarm system active when she was cleaning but she didn't think the window sensor was going to be so sensitive that it even detected her dusting the blinds.
If you quickly disarm it, they won't send the cops. They'll assume you just entered the house after having an armed. You can call ADT to do a test on the system. If you are concerned.
Can I load my own screensaver images (or download from ADT) for this control panel?

I would like know if my daughter is out late and we armed our system before we go to bed. She comes home. I was told she has 45 seconds to disarm the ADT. Now if she disarms the ADT. Does she have to arm it again? Thank you.

If you have the QSP, you should be able to get service. Check your bill to see your plan and call back. If they still won’t help, ask for a manager.

I just reviewed your video however I recently purchased the security system and I have forget how to set arm stay when I come inside it goes to night stay this isn't what it should be and I keep playing with it trying
your night arming mode is highlighted yellow. click on it to de-select night stay. Im an ADT tech.

Will my existing windows and door sensors work that was originally installed by brinks and took over my ADT with this new touch screen panel?
When you call ADT they'll let you know what works and what doesn't work when you move it over. My old sensor is from a different company did work with ADT.
If they are 5800 series from Honeywell, which Brinks used, then yes with a convert module
If the system is not that old they would have converters with upgrade
My window and door sensors were not that old and they told me they were now obsolete; None of my windows chime now and they replaced the wired door sensors with those big, bulky visible sensors. I hate it now. The command panel is nice but I want my old features back.The high pitched long sound is not as loud as my old siren and even the new key fob doesn't open my garage like the old one did; so now I can't open my garage;

I can only arm or disarm the system through the cell phone, can't I?
Are those three emergency services are only click away to avail the emergency help or do they call us and ask questions to ensure there is an emergency?
Its a click away but the alarm will go off and instead of calling you first they will call the police or emergency services straight away and call you after that
Its a “Panic” button it confirms that you are in an emergency
How do I access the camera on that control panel????
When I upgraded the old ADT system to this one they disconnected the old chime inside the house, How can I re hook up a chime inside, I have a very large house and relying on just my cell phone is not practical
The control panel should do that for you. I would call ADT for help.
If the house is too big where u can’t hear the alarm when it’s going off we can offer a siren and mount it anywhere u like.

No.. I'm getting mine upgraded and ADT guy said I do not need to replace sensors. I just need to replace control pad/panel and getting new cameras as well. If they are broken, they will replace them though. I have been with ADT for 20 yrs. I upgraded to Pulse a few years ago but now time to upgrade to new command system.

When I tried there was a cost and they only installed that tablet like one. Only one main command panel per home. The rest of the terminals will be tablets.

For home alarm systems have you ever heard of selecting the option to choose when you want to have your house monitored- like if you are going on vacation? I'm still researching but it seems many monitoring systems have a contract of some kind so you can't like turn on monitoring whenever you want. you have to start monitoring from the start.
You’d have to do a DIY Alarm. I’d recommend the Blue by ADT. It’s brand new, and they will be adding extra keypads and smoke detectors soon.
Don’t go with ADT or blue by adt for that matter
Unless you have a shitload of money to waste an unlimited amount of patience if not no don’t even go with vivint you can find a great system with a panel like the iq panel 2 or the honeywell lyric panel that is almost identical to adt command panel and the monitoring is far cheaper than adt and they start as low as $10-15 a month compared to adt
@@MorbidGod391 yeah. adding smoke detectors soon Blue by ADT is an unfinished product they use old parts ADT bought lifesheid and rebranded to blue and stuck with their century old equipment only changing the cameras and making minor tweaks to the system

My concern would be: how long will this system be supported? ADT has gone through several versions, and each time the existing system is declared obsolete. (ADT/SmartThings, for example.) At that point, your existing ADT system is junk. I just had to trash $500.00 of equipment that I bought a year ago. Update 10/21: I bought a Ring system and am very pleased with it. You can start or stop monitoring any time you want, and monitoring is about $10.00 per month, if you choose to use it. Also, Ring supports my other smart devices like smoke detectors, so I don’t need a separate hub for them.
Since you have ring I’m going to still comfortably rob your house. Hope your 10$ gots you covered.

My Command System Console says: BATTERY DEAD/ MISS. Which Battery do I have to change? The one in the Box or the one inside the Console System?
Likely the tablet but contact ADT for help.
I have gone through these comments to see the first person to question that ADT would have a camera in your bedroom if you put that in there. Yeah, that can’t go wrong. Like the stories of auto services that listen to cars when not asked to. Or the Alexa that hears all. Lol. Anyway. Good video thanks.
