She grew up humble and for the day of the BGT audition, she was also already wise, so nothing anybody could say or think would undermine her. And hasn’t to this day. I accidently open this video to see which "Stand by me" version she'd perform. My heart melts seeing the video because I just recently spoke to my Mom about her preparation for a cancer treatment. This has encouraging me to stand by her all time at this crucial stage. Thanks Susan.

Well she is pretty famous. I think in the English speaking world her name is known. She is not a pop singer so the type of notoriety that younger performers seek is not part of her persona. I am sure from what I read, that she cares about singing, the fame means nothing to her.
She is a very good singer but I wouldnt go as far as comparing her to Celine or Whitney… First off, her voice doesnt sound too different from a typical voice teacher who can sing well… Her singing reminds me of Jodi Benson (the little mermaid) - Im not saying this as a negative thing but still its not at the same level of those legendary divas - Also, it takes more than just good voice to become a “diva level” singer - Unfortunately, Susan Boyle lacks the stage presence and the grace that these divas possess - And its not necessarily because of her looks (Aretha Franklin was not the most “beautiful” diva out there but she still had very graceful and powerful stage presence - Susan Boyle just doesnt have that.

Humility? She had a paddy when she came second to Diversity in the Britain's Got Talent competition final, i.e. she was so proud that she thought she should have won it. You can't be simultaneously proud AND humble because pride is the antithesis of humility, they are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
