Your patience in getting it just right is amazing. Any visitors to the property probably wouldn’t even have noticed the floor! It is what we in uk would say” if a jobs worth doing then it’s worth doing properly”!
Your opening shots of the trees are beautiful, the tops of the trees appear to have been dipped in gold quite amazing how the light plays tricks.
I look forward to your next episode, by the way I like the sunshine yellow linseed oil paint. Reminds of beautiful warm summer days.❤

Older homes are less of a challenge then you think if you ask yourself the same question over and over. Is it way better then before? If the answer is a big 'Yes', then you have been very successful in your task. This floor is 'Way Better then Before' Marcus. Well done.

I was thinking the same. If he leveled the joists then just put in the floor and call it good because the floor is going to more worn in some spots. Besides, I’m sure Marcus will be sanding and sealing the floor and that will help to blend the floors high and low spots a bit. I’m glad he is doing such a meticulous job and reusing the beautiful old growth wood there. It will be beautiful once finished.

A super job! Your patience, to get it just right, is admirable! It's the grounding for all other work to follow. Thank so much for sharing.

The floor looks nice. Accept that it can be out of level.
The yellow is a nice choice. Carl Larsson would have been pleased!

You did it. It was a hard job, those are big, heavy boards but it will be awesome.

Great to see you get success with the levels, even though it wasn't going to be as noticeable the biggest problem was that you knew there was a difference.👍 I know how much that can take away from a great job, believe me, I've taken things back out after everyone else thought it was done. Can't wait to see what you are doing next.👍

Those floor boards are so thick. You just don't see that anymore. If you could find them it would be horribly expensive. What type of foundation is the house seated upon? That is the first thing we look at over here in the US when re-doing older houses because foundation issues can cause much bigger problems on down the line. Your videos are always interesting. It's amazing how much is different and also how much is similar from across the ocean. Keep up the good work.

Good for you for getting the floor boards as level as possible. Who knows what would happen over time if you didn't. And I wonder if the room is any warmer now that you have insulation under the floor?

Yeah you can definitely feel a difference. It doesn't get as cold when I'm not there and it's so much quicker to heat it up again

This floor already looks great. Hardwood floors are the best, and I am so pleased that you can use the floorboards you already had.
Very hard and precise work, no doubt, but all worth it in the end!

You must be pleased you have nearly finished the floor. The yellow window frames look great. Will you follow a theme with the other window frames? You definitely seem happiest whilst working on the house improvements.

The kitchen floor is looking great. Well done! You'll never be sorry you took the time to make it as good as possible. As you've observed, older homes are never plumb and level - that's part of their charm. But it's nice not to sway like a drunken sailor when crossing the room. The iron yellow paint on the window sash is really nice, and will look great with the red paint on the body of the house. Do you ike it?

Hej Markus.
