I'm 42, 6 feet and a virgin. I battled depression for years then I fell in love with and adopted a one month old baby whose mom had passed away and that stupid spirit of depression suddenly had no room in my life. I can't even explain it.
Yo Beautiful you must stay strong and keep your focused on the Lord Jesus, Beat yoir depression thru helping others and in that process you will meet Your Man just believe, Be Blessed pretty Lady

I’m 5’9 and growing up I was insecure about my height. When I got to high school, that’s when I started to be okay with being taller than most girls but now, you can’t tell me nothing!!!! Not a doggone thang!!!!
I love how she said that she thinks that we have preferences for a reason. I never thought of it that way and I agree. With that said, we should make sure our preferences and what we desire in a partner are not rooted in shallowness or hurt. In fact, we should be prayerful about it.

Miss Alicia, don't do what I did. I married out of fear. I knew I was not the one for this person. They were not for me, I was in a hurry because my parents marriage was terrible, I finished bible college, healed from their trama and didn't want to live in that space. Two weeks before wedding, I realized my soon to be husband was not ready. Went on any way to save face and still paying the price in that, healing in my grandchildren is now needed. Don't tell the Lord what you are going to do when in His love He tells you they are not for you. The price tag is very expensive. Believe me when I say, God has your husband ready. The price tag for doing things on your own is so exspensive.
I am 61 girl and I know what you mean but I met my husband years ago and I am telling you I'm just I'm excited because God put us together I always tell him something happens and I'm going to give me a short Mexican but to God be the glory we almost hitting 30 years being married
Absolutely Wonderful Episode and much needed!!. I know this episode was specific to tall girls and women however it offered universal information. It shaded much light on embracing the skin we are in, awareness of prejudices and discrimination, mental health, abstinence, spiritual relationship and walk with God. Alicia was so transparent and grounded which may indicate the trials and tribulations are not vain but necessary to fulfill our purpose. Really enjoyed the dialogue. Praying Alicia is united with the man God has for her. Thank you both so much!!❤❤❤

My husband is 5'7 and I'm 5'10. His character, integrity, patience, style, wisdom and beautiful skin got me. I asked the universe for a man of character and someone who I could grow with and the day we met I knew he was my person and his height was not an issue.
When people focus more on a person's character, religious beliefs, thoughts/desires on marriage/family, moral ethics, financial/social/life skills and goals (rather than physical preferences)...they'll be better able to attract and understand the WHOLE person.
Glad I ran across this episode! I have daughter that’s 7 years old 5’3 in 2nd grade! I know she feels a way and I think you for giving me some encouraging words to speak over her!
I love this!!! I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum at 4'11 and often viewed as "cute" or a plaything. Those who knows me know there's so much more to who I am.
Miss Alicia, I commend you for your transparency and bravery. It’s difficult to talk about depression, especially as a Christian, because often people think it’s not real or you did something wrong. Your testimony of a lifelong struggle with depression resonates loudly in the belly of my soul. I agree with you. I adamantly believe that God created each of us uniquely wonderful, even with our imperfections. I believe that each of us has a divine purpose in life and we should strive to walk in it each day that we have breath in our bodies, and don’t condemn ourselves if we miss the mark at times. Choosing Joy, Natalie Brown

I love her💞! I am a 40yr old woman with no kids as well but I'm trusting that God is working out the right situation for me. I can relate to her story (in other ways). Bless her for staying strong through everything 🙏🏾 ❤️
@Ms. Retta/Ms. Alicia, I had my 1st child at 43. Waiting gives you an opportunity to properly prepare for the responsibilities of motherhood. You can take necessary steps as Alicia did or like I did which was to do all genetic screening etc to know in advance if I conceived what potential development issues might exist. I’m blessed with a healthy energized toddler now. May you both stay encouraged🙏🏾
This woman was amazing and I love her perspective on life and her walk with God and her decision to have agency over her body for HER and no one else. Be blessed sis!
I loved how you handled the question she asked you and respecting her boundaries while speaking with so much prudence & truth at the same time Laterras(01:02:30) Whew , she's a very gorgeous woman and i love the way she speaks and was vulnerable with her journey. It's so beautiful to see. I really pray God grants her heart desires❤

Being 5'7 I've dated a few women who were 6ft or taller. I was never intimidated in public or private. I was more focused on what they possessed on the inside. Preferences can ultimately limit God's purpose for your partner and life.
Wow. Thank you for sharing that. Because of experiences, I've come to see men hardly think this way, what you focus on. Thank you for this comment. It gives hope 🙏🏽
@@joannaj.5253 I feel also for me it was the fact that my height didn't limit them from giving me a chance at getting to learn more about who they were. God sends us exactly what we ask and pray for, but He may package them totally different from what we prefer. Blessings Queen🙏❤️💗
“If you are going to be intimidated by me then I am going to use it to my advantage!” I love how Alicia grew into confidence. And she’s so beautiful and transparent.❤️
I really appreciate your transparency Alicia. If i could have a way to share something through the host as a man of God. God will really bring the right man into her life, don't give up. I'll keep you Alicia in my prayer. Remain blessed.

I think this was definitely one of my top 3 favorite DFW episodes! I relate to her as a 41 year young virgin who is trying to please God. Her comment about making your virginity an idol was eye-opening for me & I realize that I have done that. Thanks so much for this interview! I watch faithfully every week!
at 41 God gave you the tools to married at a young age and have kids, you abused it God gave you a gift of millions of men available to you, you blew it for what ever reason dont blame God. God gives you 12 hrs of day light to prepare for night what you do with that gift is your choice / problem
I appreciate immensely Alicia Jay’s “why” as it pertains to her virginity: it is to honor God. It’s that simple & that powerful. We virgins get all kinds of labels & stereotypes & ridicule when all we’re trying to do is honor God. Then add the height to the mix & it’s just too much. Why we as humans stereotype each other I don’t understand..This was a refreshing convo. She has fought through so much. Her faith is amazing & her vulnerability is enviable. Thanks again @dearfuturewifey for another LIT episode!
Absolutely beautiful woman and spirit. As a 5’11 woman who loves wearing heels, I totally get what she goes through. Her testimony will help so many girls/women. Thanks sis! Keep up the God work.
Great episode! Her spirit is beautiful. I love how transparent she was about her childhood, and experiences being a tall young woman of color and minority. I know people and children can be so hurtful. I remember those experiences. So many memories. And, I honestly agree with her, in relationships it matters a lot if you are with someone of similar height. One of the reasons I don't like dating shorter women, is that I don't like feeling tall... I like feeling normal.
Depression is personal, mine was spiritual I had to be delivered. The hardest part is identifying where the root is. Then learning to live without it because you're accustomed to being drawn to it.
You are so amazing, Alicia! 😍 Thank you for representing "us" so beautifully and speaking our truth. I am not "A tall glass of water" or any of those ignorant comments. I vow to wear my heels 👠 because I am not too tall for heels.
Hmmm. Well, like all significant differences in relationships (race, culture, height, religion, etc) it just depends on the individuals involved. My ex-husband was 2 inches shorter than me and unfortunately he had a complex (along with other insecurities). 🙄 He tried to cut me down emotionally to make up for it. Never again. If short girls have a height requirement, then at 5'9 and a half- I have a right to ask for 6ft or taller. 🙏🏾
Alicia is the embodiment of class, grace and sas!! 💜🙏🏾💯👑. This episode has so many gems!! In fact LW, all the episodes I have watched have blessed me tremendously! I am attempting to watch all episodes, from all seasons before 2024 year ends. #shortsway, #we, #BNJ, #14years, #thewait. PS: First comment!
Alicia, I hope you see this. I love love love your message and mission sis. It’s very empowering and relatable to my story. I too have had severe depression since a young child. I’m 25 but at my age I’m very grateful for the knowledge I’ve learned about my authority and being able to adopt the ownership of breaker of the breach. Having depression in your family line, is something I also have seen but I realized that is a generational curse. So it’s all spiritual and not physical…Idk if you know this already but I wanted to share just in case. That’s what we suppose to do to help each other heal…and I’m saying all of this as a healed woman of depression and suicidal thoughts. As a result? I have received promise that it will not be past on to my children. Here’s a couple scriptures to back my testimony up 💕 Micah 2:13, Matt 16:19, Luke 10:19, Eph 6:18-20, 1 John 4:18. Tear down those evil alters and be free 💕
I very much appreciate you addressing that she shouldn’t embrace depression. You can’t stop birds from flying over your head but you can stop them from making a nest in your head. Only except what the blood of Christ died to provide you and reject the negative that your natural family says is part of your blood line.

Yaaaasss shoutout to the tall women! I’m 6’0 and wear heels often. My boyfriend is 6’6 and so blessed to have finally met him on after dating guys at different heights. They are out there ladies ❤️
Went on a group trip to Cuba a few years back and one of the girls on the trip was over 6 feet. I was annoyed for her seeing other tourists blantantly stare and take pictures, just because of her height. She told me that was normal and I felt for her. I think at that point, she was used to it but like Alicia said in the interview, I could tell it would occasionally get to her. No one likes to be gawked at like they're an alien. (I'm 5'3) The girl is also Christian and wound up marrying a guy also over 6 feet!

In this short piece of time! This woman has captured my heart at times it was hard to listen to her and I realized it was the mere fact that she was touching hidden spots that I hadn’t fully worked on that I thought would just go away!! May God send her the person he has been holding tightly for her!
Oh My Goodness I was 5’11 in my younger yrs now I’m 5’10 at 65yrs old and you are so right about people serving you and do not see you they say “May l help you sir”, sometimes I would say “with a chest like this, really” And no I did not play ball in school, that was always and still a question people asked. My son is 6’9 and people thought he played ball, my response was no he plays academics. Just because people are tall does not mean they are one dimensional. Thank you for being a positive person for our tall girls!!
And Laterras I love how much you love your sons. You always say or do something to lift them up. I know Armoni (sorry for misspellings) struggles but you never miss an opportunity to feed good seeds in his life. Don’t worry, it hasn’t been in vain 💕
Wow! Your height struggles were preparing you for your Ministry to the depressed. To demonstrate it is possible to continue to walk tall through any physical challenge. ❤️
Thanks Alicia Jay! Great insight. I’ve had women shorter than me tell me they wanted someone taller and had taller women okay with dating me. You truly have to be confident. What is for you is for you no matter who has something to say or feels it’s against society’s norms. Thank you my brother Laterras for once again back to back to back great content.
Her comment on the thing you’re using to honor God becoming your idol… sooo good! I feel like that happens with purity as well. All of a sudden it becomes your entire identity instead of one of the things you do to honor the Lord. I loved her transparency & how comfortable she was with herself. Great interview!
This episode is everything!!! There are so many similarities in our stories. I’m sure there are so many women/girls who “feel seen and understood”. 🙌 💜
One thing to add...my mother is 6 ft tall, so I had a daily living, breathing example of beauty and grace wrapped in a tall package. I didn't have esteem issues due to my height...I loved it! Women could tell...I would be in the mall, and mothers would walk up to me with their daughters, who were already taller than them, saying things like, "Look at her...she's tall and pretty, and she's wearing heels!" or "You should walk with your back straight like hers, don't slump!" I taught highschool for 11 years, and I made it a point to show my taller babies that it was okay to be tall and feminine. I showered them with compliments, letting them know they were seen as more than a prospective professional athlete.
I am 5”8 and can relate with the things she says. I was also made to feel odd until an elderly lady said I walk like a liberated woman, her comments changed my life. I was liberated and I rock high heels most of the time, you know just to amplify what I have. I still need deliverance on accepting that “ the purpose partner” may be shorter than I am 🤔🤔
My preferences has been tall & dark for such a long time. I still prefer taller than me I’m 5’7 so that shouldn’t be too hard 🤷🏽♀️ but I too have come to realize that what if God says my husband is the opposite. I think ultimately as Christians we have to get to a place where we want what God wants for us.
I just happened to somehow randomly be watching this …… this is a true inspiration on so many levels….. The section where she talks about how she eventually found the beauty and power in the gift and blessing of being tall!!! For me it’s not about being tall but just the realization and revelation of being gifted from Our Creator is empowering, exciting and humbling!!! I have to share this!!!
Don't underestimate yourself; she wasn't just threatened by your height...but your beautiful, she was threatened by your looks as well; your eyes your hair are uniquely you....people r threatened by things they don't understand or know or that is different from their norm.....they can't handle all the gorgeousness you have going on ...keep rocking it sis 💯❤
Great interview! Alicia, please know that many people stare at you because you are beautiful and anointed! Keep walking in your Purpose and touching your multitude of unseen followers! ❤️
Her story is similar to Lolo Jones… 40 year old, Olympic athlete that is also a virgin. She’s been open with her struggle with dating and remaining a virgin, her desire to get married and have kids.
Alicia was speaking my language. A LOT of what she said I too have dealt with. I am 6'1" tall and I have been single for about 15 years & have been practicing abstinence during this time by choice after a failed relationship. I was tired & I told God that I've done things my way and now it was time to do things His way because what I was doing wasn't working. When Laterras said "Why would you give it away so casually when you held onto it so sacredly" that almost made me run around the room! Another podcast for the books!! Thank you so much!!
This women really knows her worth and value and if a man truly respects you he will stay and be with you and I am a truer believer of this. Thank you Alicia for sticking true to yourself and letting people know your truth.
She explains the experience perfectly. I had no idea tall women had those type of issues. Thats a great point of view. The eloquent speech helps convey her perspective. wow.
Wow , I’m so glad that I watched this episode this was packed with so much more than just the title and clinical/depression and being saved single , saving yourself till marriage especially over a certain age which is somehow unbelievable but honestly after being a adult it’s real and awesome this was such a breath of fresh air to listen and watch God is still God in 2022 He is the same today yesterday and forever more Alicia Jay Thank you for being transparent and sharing so inspiring and encouraging ❤️🙏🏾
Wow...Laterras, I appreciate your honesty in saying that you would feel inferior for a woman to be taller than you, it's the way society has conditioned us. No different than a woman feeling unprotected by a shorter man. It's called preferences. People have to do what makes them feel comfortable in dating, if not they will project their insecurities on the other person. I love your letter to your "Future Wifey" ...You said it perfectly, we're always going to be too much of something to the wrong person, but perfect for the right one!!!
I experience the opposite in of the spectrum. I'm 4'10". And wear my natural, too. However, I'm confident in my skin just as Alicia. Great episode that challenges our known and unknown biases.
OMG! I love love this episode. She is soo me and I am her🙈😂Being a tall girl about 1.76m and finding a partner who is comfortable with the height and/or being with me as a person, it's a struggle. I agree with everything she shared, truly when the love is real, height does not matter. Thank you for sharing your story❤️
You're a little taller than the average women's height, I hope you get the guy that right for you..... I also agree with you that height doe not matter, but its women especially Western Women that have height requirements in potential mates. Im West African and live in the states and see it a lot!
I really hate all the weird/uncomfortable things shorter men hv said to me over the years. “When we lay down we’re both the same size”, “you a stallion”, “you’re alotta woman”, “I’m not scared of you…I can handle you” We aren’t cattle. We don’t need to be “handled”. I’ve often wondered how these same men that say these offensive things can also be easily offended if you turn them down. It’s weird.
I’m 42 (will be 43 next month) and am too a tall, virgin. Can’t remember the last time i have been on a date. Just came across this channel and have been glued! I especially love this episode because this one lets me know I am not alone.
I'm 51, no kids, never married, and God has filled my life with so many surprise blessings. I've accomplished things I never imagined in living what's considered an unconventional life for a woman. And I'm just getting started. God has shown me that there are more ways to be fruitful and multiply outside of having children, ya'll. His word and purpose for us runs so deep. In the words of my grandma, I wouldn't take nothing for my journey, now. I wouldn't change one thing!
I loved this episode. Her inner beauty radiated thru the screen. I really hope & pray that the right man sees her, pursues here & they make a GOD connection that makes both their lives beautiful. I pray love finds her quickly.
Totally feel her on this.. I'm 5'7 and was always the tallest girl in my circle of friends/associates. I didn't become confident with my height until I became an adult or better yet until I embraced God and took my spiritual walk more seriously. True confidence comes from God and God ONLY!
me me me myself myself myself...I..I...I she has a rotten attitude without Gods help..I see her dying alone if she does not change losers blame others for their failure... then put it on God love is a feeling, it comes and goes...marriage is a duty to family, legacy, community...not me me me dom
This is a great conversation. I can so relate to what she is saying. I am 6'1 and I had the volleyball and basketball coaches coming to me every year, but I loved the arts. Funny thing, they did not bother my white friend who was more athletic...hmmm. I got the teasing, the bullying. Thank you for this conversation and speaking to young girls who have to deal with the same thing. I love that you love your height and the way you look. Being tall is beautiful and you are beautiful inside and out.
I am 49 and 6'1 235lbs. I absolutely relate. Dating is difficult, I don't want to hear another man ask me if I play basketball as a way to approach me. I am in multiple TALL GROUPS online and the average height for men in my groups are 6'4. The tallest is 7'2. My preference is someone my height. It is difficult to date someone extremely shorter. I feel as if the man is a child. At 6'1, the men in my life are taller than I am. My dad is 6'3. My son is 6'6. I want the man in my life to blend into my family. The shortest I've dated is 5'11 and the tallest was 6'8. I am more purposed in my prayers for my future husband. Height is still in my Hab 2:2 visualization as well as he being a Man after God's own heart.
Thank you for your testimony!!!! Callousness by humans are inexcusable but I see you are using that as a springboard to greatness. All the best to you.
Being married is a covenant with God first then your spouse. Living and loving who they are what you all will become. Remembering that you both are born with a purpose in Christ and keeping God the center of you all marriage always.
Loved that letter to your Future Wifey. God Bless as HE has the perfect one for you. I pray for you daily and I won't STOP PRAYING... I. Thessalonians 5:17.
I love how Alicia embraces her height and spoke openly about depression. She doesn't look 41 at all! She looks beautiful and did good by freezing her eggs. I hope she finds Mr Right soon!
Thank you sis for the encouraging message. I believe God has your partner "prepared" for you and when you meet you will see there's no asking..no sacrificing etc. It will all blend in perfectly.
This was such a blessing. When she said, “imagine dealing with that breakdown with every man that you interact with ever single day” after asking if you would date a tall Queen, was gold!! As a trans woman of faith, I resonated with her so much! You said “wording” an I’ll go a little further to say they just don’t have the language. “Ignorance” is just the lack of knowledge, and that’s ok. It was interesting to listen to the societal gender issues that have a chokehold on the world when experiencing God’s gifts. Great podcast. Thank you!💛🙏🏾
Relationship challenges are something that we all have. Whatever package it is wrapped up in differs from person to person. Could be height, ethnicity, money, spirituality, or something else. What I get from this is noticing all of the life lessons that Alicia has learned. It is just not always easy or simple. Embrace the journey. Alicia you are beautiful inside and out. I hope you find a good man.
I felt this on a spiritual level everything she spoke of I’ve experienced and I’m only 6 ft . I loved softball and my cousin told me it was stupid to play with my height. They’ve said I was a waste they said if I wear heels I would be intimidating and it effected me when I was younger . But once I got to high school and college and people started seeing my height as beautiful I saw my height as beautiful and I love demanding attention when I walk in the room . If you’re intimidated you don’t need to be in my life periodt
She's a true gem word is bond! My brother your mission and purpose in kingdom building enlightment. I hope to one day be on your show! May God continue to bless your endeavors, family, health, and thoughts
Can totally relate to her with the " you're tall" comments at 5'11 a half. I'm married and my husband is shorter. My preference is tall but hey, it is what it is
Am 5'7" very proud of my height, shortest in our family of six. The youngest is a lady 6'6". Sometimes, we limit ourselves to what God has. Great conversation. She is beautiful and love her height. May the Lord connect you with your divine partner. When we all walk together in town people comment alot. Omg! They are all tall. Hallo! Yes we are. I agree, Been tall does not mean you have to play basket ball.
When Alicia popped the question toward the end....then the struggle to answer with all the words....then she replied with "this is what I deal with every day!" She asked him the question KNOWING how he would respond, SO THAT he could feel just a minute of her life. Truly amazing. Alicia's dignity, integrity, will power is such a blessing to witness in this upside down world. A super rare gem...I hope God delivers her a real man of character and integrity.
Thank you Alicia for encouraging me to always stand tall and confident. I'm 5.11, so self conscious about my height that I rarely wear heels to avoid being "too" tall. Just last Saturday I got the "You are so tall. Do you play basketball". I got the "You're wasting your height" for not modeling 😆 Height has been a deal breaker for me but God has also been working on me by showing me what truly matters the most. I'd still prefer a taller man and my prayer is that God doesn't allow my preferences/ insecurities to make me overlook the man He has for me. I trust that He will open my eyes to see what He sees in that handsome son of His😍 I pray the same for all the ladies and men in similar situations. Terrific episode as always. Thank you Laterras!
I love Alicia's positivity and Swag in who she knows she is and more women should glean from this. I pray God sends who will be for her truly into her life. Great vlog Laterras, keep them coming and stay LIT❣️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✌🏾 #TenToesDown
Right on time and so relatable (I’m 6’2”). Please no more height comments. 🙄🙏🏽 All the poise in the world while speaking such powerful truths and setting clear boundaries and exuding self love. Thank you for the “exceptional” example. 😉 #newlysubscribed
Yesss your confidence turned. I’m 5’9 always being the taller kid in my classes but I walked with confidence. The bullies use to try me so that caused me to be a fighter. Love 💕 my heels
I absolutely love her! The Men that have crossed her path missed a gem.I will definitely follow her.I want to see her love journey of self and her husband ! A beautiful queen!
Absolutely love TallSwag and love Alicia! I can totally relate to your entire story as a fellow tall woman (except I didn't try basketball until a college elective and I hated it😅)...thanks for being a beacon of light and hope to young tall girls everywhere!

The power of finally knowing you're so much more than your appearance! 🙏🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾Keep encouraging those around you Ms. Alicia. I guess we face the negative to be well equipped to be an encouragement for those who come after. And that is the purpose. Cause once youvreach the fulness of who you are, your hardship becomes history and joy over shadows all that. 🙏🏽❤
Wow this was awesome !After my divorce I recommitted myself to the Lord and this walk is not for the weak at heart. I’ve been married & 2 kids. But this new walk is not easy however I can’t wait to say (prayerfully) to my future husband that I saved my body & waited for you 🙏🏽❤️
Another awesome episode! This will really make you think obout the totality of your "preferences. " Alicia youna beautiful woman, with a beautiful spirit and outlook on life. I pray you find all that you desire in life, in love and in purpose!
Her height she cannot change but the purity within that she can change she chooses to hold dearly to honor God! That's saying something, sis! 💯🙌🏽 Wait on the one! Whew!
I'm 42, 6 feet and a virgin. I battled depression for years then I fell in love with and adopted a one month old baby whose mom had passed away and that stupid spirit of depression suddenly had no room in my life. I can't even explain it.

I wish I could find a 6’ woman. We just aren’t meeting each other. There is nothing wrong with you as a tall woman. I’m 6’3.
💞❤️❤️
Praise God, sis.
I’m sitting here thinking, this woman is beautiful. Praying that she finds a man deserving of her love!
Inside and out.
You do realize it’s a DEALBREAKER for her regarding 99% of men right?
She makes femininity look effortless✨
I agree
Although she has a very feminine *LOOK* , I don't find her _demeanor_ very feminine at all....
That’s a LIE… She is a masculine women masquerading as feminine for the camera… Listen to her speak, feminine women aren’t as combative ma’am… There’s a reason no one has married her yet… All feminine her age are already married with a bunch of children

@@hotice8885 agreed. She has a giant chip on her shoulder and the desire to lead.
“We have feelings, but we also have faith.” 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Speak on it, Alicia Jay!

I love how she said that she thinks that we have preferences for a reason. I never thought of it that way and I agree. With that said, we should make sure our preferences and what we desire in a partner are not rooted in shallowness or hurt. In fact, we should be prayerful about it.
100% agree
The problem lies in what people consider preferences. Many people confuse their requirements and preferences. That’s where it gets tricky.

I concur, in Jesus Mighty Name - Amen.
Thank you for being honest. I feel your heart ❤️
I know what you mean please yell your message from the rooftop wish I would’ve known too
Wow so true praying for you and glad you received the LORDS revelation in your situation. I’m learning the same and that I really need to be obedient.
Yes Lord, it sure is expensive.

Another short girl in the house😂. People point out our shortness to hide their own insecurities. We are all uniquely created❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I want you short ang gooey. Lol
Miss Alicia,
I commend you for your transparency and bravery.

Being 5'7 I've dated a few women who were 6ft or taller. I was never intimidated in public or private. I was more focused on what they possessed on the inside. Preferences can ultimately limit God's purpose for your partner and life.
True.

I think this was definitely one of my top 3 favorite DFW episodes! I relate to her as a 41 year young virgin who is trying to please God. Her comment about making your virginity an idol was eye-opening for me & I realize that I have done that. Thanks so much for this interview! I watch faithfully every week!

God gave you the tools to married at a young age and have kids, you abused it
God gave you a gift of millions of men available to you, you blew it for what ever reason
dont blame God. God gives you 12 hrs of day light to prepare for night
what you do with that gift is your choice / problem
I appreciate immensely Alicia Jay’s “why” as it pertains to her virginity: it is to honor God. It’s that simple & that powerful. We virgins get all kinds of labels & stereotypes & ridicule when all we’re trying to do is honor God. Then add the height to the mix & it’s just too much. Why we as humans stereotype each other I don’t understand..This was a refreshing convo. She has fought through so much. Her faith is amazing & her vulnerability is enviable. Thanks again @dearfuturewifey for another LIT episode!
Highly appreciable
I'm so happy you had her on! She is fabulous! I'm 6'3 and completely understand her! #teamtall #tallswag
Just a question, so are you single too?

She has such a magnetic energy! I loved everything about this interview. Season 5 is on fire!

How tall are you?
Wow, I loved this as a single 5'10 woman and a mother of a teenage 6'6 young woman. Will follow you both.
Wow
One thing to add...my mother is 6 ft tall, so I had a daily living, breathing example of beauty and grace wrapped in a tall package. I didn't have esteem issues due to my height...I loved it! Women could tell...I would be in the mall, and mothers would walk up to me with their daughters, who were already taller than them, saying things like, "Look at her...she's tall and pretty, and she's wearing heels!" or "You should walk with your back straight like hers, don't slump!"
I taught highschool for 11 years, and I made it a point to show my taller babies that it was okay to be tall and feminine.
She is beautiful and honest ❤️ I hate that she was bullied, but thank God she found the beauty in her height and is now encouraging others!
Yes, I agree. I thought the same. She does remind me of the athlete & her values.

Thank you!💛🙏🏾
You said a lot, and it sounds interesting. Can you break it down more?

When Alicia popped the question toward the end....then the struggle to answer with all the words....then she replied with "this is what I deal with every day!"
She asked him the question KNOWING how he would respond, SO THAT he could feel just a minute of her life.
Truly amazing. Alicia's dignity, integrity, will power is such a blessing to witness in this upside down world. A super rare gem...I hope God delivers her a real man of character and integrity.
I’m glad your confidence is on 💯 do not shrink down for anyone.
All the poise in the world while speaking such powerful truths and setting clear boundaries and exuding self love. Thank you for the “exceptional” example. 😉

You are so pretty
Yesss your confidence turned. I’m 5’9 always being the taller kid in my classes but I walked with confidence. The bullies use to try me so that caused me to be a fighter. Love 💕 my heels
I'm 6ft tall. Everything she said in the first 10 minutes is all facts. The weirdest things come out of people's mouths about our height.
You should see what they say about ugly and fat people. “Ohh your so tall” how is that hurtful?
This was such an inspiring episode!! Thank you Alicia Jay for walking boldly in who God has called you to be!! Blessings to you both!!
I absolutely love her! The Men that have crossed her path missed a gem.I will definitely follow her.I want to see her love journey of self and her husband ! A beautiful queen!
Not really
Absolutely love TallSwag and love Alicia! I can totally relate to your entire story as a fellow tall woman (except I didn't try basketball until a college elective and I hated it😅)...thanks for being a beacon of light and hope to young tall girls everywhere!
me me me myself myself myself...I..I...I
she has a rotten attitude without Gods help..I see her dying alone if she does not change
losers blame others for their failure... then put it on God
love is a feeling, it comes and goes...marriage is a duty to family, legacy, community...not me me me dom
At my adult daughters 2-year-old pediatrician appointment the doctor measured her, turned to me and said, "She's going to be six feet tall." She is.
Whew!
She’s nice it’s sad she can’t find love Bless her Heart
