- New car detailing time with this futuristic space ship electric car, the Hyundai Ioniq5 Protect 45 with the Gravity Gold Satin Paintwork.
This customer found me from my video where I detailed the VW Amarok truck which was matte grey (Link Below). This video inspired them to take the trip out of London have their new car detailed and ceramic coated by myself. Now If you are looking to have your car detailing be sure to take a look around my website: www.joehuntley.com

Love your video on this EV, and how much detail you put into that work you seem to love so much. Awesome.
Thank you!
Awesome video as usual Joe! Cool car too!
Thanks Luke!
Great stuff again Joe 👍

Pretty good after shots. Great video
Thank you. Very much appreciate that
Most invigorating as always.
Glad you think so!
Great video and photography 👌👌 I did like the quote of teaching your kids how to behave in the car 😅😅 priceless 👌👌
Thank you so much Gren😀
Great video enjoyed
Thank you!
Amazing job... Great car...
Thanks
Top video as always mate! Loved the dark cinematic afters, really professional. Also if them kids are spilling milkshakes, it better be some shaken udder 😂
That's what I'm saying! No stupid cheap milkshakes. Got to teach your kids to have good taste and not to drink them in the car!!!
Hi Joe, brilliant video, being a new car stickers on the window and swirl marks on it.but looks good now.interesting paintwork on this one.
Thanks Steven. Unfortunately swirl marks on new cars are all to common!!
Top video Joe really enjoyed it! thanks for taking the time to make it 👍🏻 still not sure about this car’s interior 😉. Educate your kids 🤣👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it Phil, thanks for tuning in as always!
I was recommended this video out of the blue by the RUclips algorithm but most probably because I’ve been looking at reviews of this car. I’ve ordered this car in the Shooting Star colour, kind of battleship grey. The Gravity Gold in this video really stands out and, as Joe says, it looks more silver than gold. I wish I’d seen this video before I made my decision. The background music adds to the atmosphere. After watching the video I listened to Stevie Wonder’s “Stay Gold!”, not only because of the colour but the use of the most word ‘golden’ twice by Joe: he makes detailing look so easy but it isn’t! I’ve been motivated to order the ‘chemicals’ used here with the 10% discount thanks to Joe! I’ve found a detailer locally in Heywood but I’m pondering attempting the detailing myself! 😬 Really do appreciate a professional sharing their knowledge and experience….very impressed with the attention to detail…
Hey thank you for taking the time to watch and write such a wicked comment!
Never be scared to try detailing!
@@JoeHuntley thanks Joe, pity I’m not down in London as I’d come to you! You’re attention to detail is jaw dropping! I was half expecting slow motions in the style of Guy Ritchie and Vinnie Jones and his ‘associates’ coming to collect the car after you’d finished! The alloy at the angle it caught the light was my favourite shot, again you have a Photographer’s eye so it’s no surprise…. Keep up the good work 👌🏽
@@redlightspellsdanger7177 very much appreciated. Where are you?
I know some great detailers that could help you!
@@JoeHuntley Rochdale, near Manchester; I’ve found a place in Heywood but your recommendation would be welcome, thank you!
@@JoeHuntley please explain the two bucket wash method?
I know where I’m coming when I get my Ioniq 5 😉 Great video.
Thanks Neil!
Give me a shout when your ready!
@@JoeHuntley Definitely! First time watching your videos and checking out your site. Very impressed.
Neil. Very much appreciated.
Give me a message if you need anything
Would you be happy using C1 + EXO on matte paint as well as this satin finish? I have a Kia EV6 steel grey matte on order.and am looking for best advice.
Well done good job
Thanks dude
Hi Joe, great video mate. I’ve just taken delivery of this colour and I’m going to do the protection myself. The question I have is did you use the C1 on the non painted panels, such as the black trim that you buffed and the lights? Cheers in advance.
Thanks Andrew.
Yes I did indeed! Enjoy detailing your new car!
Coffee at the ready! I know I'm in for a treat 😁
Love this Emma! I will email you back!!!!
Awesome video
Looking for a really good glass cloth
What was the one you used to do the windows on the ioniq 5 ?
Thanks Michael
Hi Michael. That was auto bead I believe
Hi Joe, I bought a near identical to this Hyundai 6 months ago, and as soon as my broken leg mends, I’m going to tackle the coating, having done coatings on 3 other cars/. You used a combo of C1 and Exo v$; others have said C1 only and indeed when you did the Amorak, you only used Exo. Which is best option / gives best results?
Hey, I would say go for the C1 and Exo and then you have a base layer you can top Exo up on each year!
That is a great looking car, and like you, I've never seen it look "gold". What all purpose interior cleaner would you suggest?
Thanks for watching!
I would say: Auto Finesse Total, Auto Glym Interior Shampoo or Stjranagloss Inni are all great and accessable options.
What i can do with very light mark/scratches on satin paint? Actually my car is the new hyundai kona and its on the fenders that made from plastic painted with some satin paint
You could try to use a coating to see if it levels out, other than that it would be a repaint.
Unfortunately I have seen satin paint which someone rubbed on to try to remove a scratch, it ruined the paint.
Joe
I want this colour so bad and We don't have this in America.
Brilliant work as always Joe! Keep em coming. Not too sure about that car mind you, ugly as sin! But cleaned and protected to perfection
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Joe, what would this sort of treatment cost?
Around the £700 mark
Wouldn’t want to clean those wheels every week!
Lots of holes to poke!
I’m sorry but that was a shocking effort at cleaning the tyre near the start Joe. One little swipe over doesn’t clean them, needs a proper scrub and the suds you did make were brown, so shows the tyre actually needed a proper clean
Hi Dan!
No need to waste alot of product as I knew I would be cleaning with a tar and glue remover to deep clean them.
