The synchronicity between Airplay Beats and Steely Dan's music is undeniable. Y'all get the Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Soul of all types and styles of music, just like The Dan. That why you guys have the reaction channel that is nothing but Net when it comes to all the music you play.
Keep up the significant reactions and commentary. I want you to know that you are greatly appreciated. It's a low-down, dirty shame you
haven't got more subscribers. This is what a Reaction Channel should be. Every Subscribed viewer should pass the word to a friend or share these reactions.

This came out in my senior year of high school. I have been a huge fan of Donald Fagen and Walter Becker (RIP) and all the incredible musicians who have been a part of Steely Dan (e.g. Larry Carlton, Michael McDonald to name a few), in addition to Donald Fagen's solo works.

Hi La and Che--glad to see you reacting to The Dan again! Please do more, going through what you've missed in chronological order. There is much gold remaining to be mined.,a
The background singers are singing "You go to Lost Wages". Lost Wages is slang for Las Vegas, coined by Lenny Bruce, and rebel comedian of the 60s.
This record is from The Dan's second album, by which point they have been introduced to rock star ("show business kids") culture, and are recounting their privilege, indulgence, and selfishness.
"Show business kids making movies of themselves, you know they don't give a fuck about anybody else."
With their trademark skill, SD tell the story indirectly, by talking around it. I particularly like the line "I detect the El Supremo, at the top of the stair." Sound like a weed reference to me--always a good call. :)
    All the best, guys. 🙏
