Thank you so much for letting me be part of your Channel Feeling obliged. Baki would like to address some things which I missed to say in video. Performance - Except 5 people whenever I drive solo or two three people, I never ever feel my car to be underpowered. This car pulls really nicely when turbo hits. But you will still feel that Diesel kick is missing. Otherwise It performs like any other 1.5L naturally aspirated engine. AC - after review for testing purpose I used AC on full and Blower speed 2 and while driving Solo, AC is performing pretty well. It’s better now than it was when I bought car. I forgot to address these things while making of video. Hence thought to put these things here in comment.
Wheels I got in my car are 17” wheels with 8.5j width. Tyres are Westlake 225/45-17” Ride quality is stiffer than earlier while going through pot holes. I loved stock setup more in terms of ride quality. So I would not really recommend going for aftermarket upsized wheels if you don’t want stiffer drive and you have broken roads in there where u drive. Or you will have to drive slowly through potholes just like I do. Baki also these wheels are quite wide and have concave shape hence come out of car body as well and that causes rear tyres to touch fender when car is filled with 4-5 people and it goes over a bump. That’s why avoid going for those wheels which hang out of your car body. I had no prior experience with alloy wheels, that’s the reason I didn’t know these things while getting them for my car. Hopefully it will help.

@sunderdeepsing Bhaji , I watched all your videos regarding the 1.0 TSI engine, and after that, I am planning to buy the Virtus TOPLINE. I took a test drive of this beast three times, and every time it surprised me. You explained in your video how the technology works in this engine, so I would say it offers great driving pleasure, something you don't get in the third-class Creta and Seltos, or the Vitara. For those who are concerned about the power of this 1.0 engine, I think they don't have proper knowledge of driving a car. I have already test driven the Honda City and Verna, but they can't beat VW in terms of driving pleasure. Lastly, I would like to say that if Indian people are not serious about the value of their lives and are more concerned about cheap features and resale value, then in the future, they will have to face more third-class vehicles from Hyundai and Maruti with 0-star ⭐️ safety and 0 driving pleasure. Hi Mr. Sunder, Really like your vlogs and have started following you since in decided to buy my new car (either of the VW twins). In this video, you were discussing about 95 Octane Fuel. I am owner of Slavia BS VI Phase II vehicle which is E20 compliant and has been using XP95 for my vehicle. Since last few days E20 petrol has become available at pumps near me. They were not able to tell me about the Octane number of this E20 Petrol. I know by mixing Ethanol with Petrol, the overall Octane number of the mixture rises. Can you throw some light on this or make a vlog on the same. I have just filled my car with this E20 fuel and can have my inputs in the next few days. Thanks
@@SunderdeepSingh Thanks. I will also try to find out more. Another interesting point to note is that the VW twins have claimed a milage increase upto 5.16% with BS6 Phase 2 update. 🙏

The Owners Review was top notch as always. But I cannot understand one thing - why do car owners, esp in Ldh & Jal install alloys / oversize alloys / tyres ? Its a trend that I have seen being copied by everyone in Punjab. Its a rare car that has company installed alloys / steel rims. Doesn't it affect the driving dynamics / turning radius / efficiency / road grip of the car among other elements? Sharing - In a few accident cases, insurance companies have rejected claims, accpeted by the Courts due to technical reasons - that the car involved did not have company specified tyres installed affecting the stopping distance / thereby affecting its driving ability and therefore involved in the accident. This is something that car owners must factor-in when installing Oversize tyres. Just my penny's worth of insight.

I am confused between base and middle variant.. can anyone tell me can we modify the dashboard of base variant to highline( mid variant) . With piano glossy finish and 10 inch touchscreen..if so wat will be the approx cost. Thank you
If budget is not restricted go for Highline (middle variant) In base model Dashboard can be painted, i was quoted ₹4000, Stereo roughly ₹30,000 Fog lamps ₹20,000 with new switch. And if you choose to put alloywheels, should cost you minimum ₹50,000 But if you pay 2 lacs more over base model and choose Middle one, you will be getting above things included also Cruise control, front and rear armrest, car connect, Keyless entry with push start function. So Highline offers much more things.
@@SunderdeepSingh may be it shouldn’t. Because that part in itself comes out without opening dashboard. That front plate kinda part comes out from left to right. Stereo stays in place. Hence it shouldn’t affect warranty at all

Virtus MT Topline owner. I have driven it 25000 km in 9 months. I honestly wanted this car to be good but it just isn't. I have been a VW user for a long time, still own a Polo. There are some major quality issues, my car already has little creeky sounds in the cabin, the plastic quality is far worse than Polo in terms of longevity. Power windows stopped working due to faulty motor. AC completely failed at 45+ temps. Also, somehow this feels like the worst turbo lag i have experienced in a VW car. If you're used to Polo's steering, you would surely miss the weight and precision. This car feels like a korean copy of a VW in terms of handling The suspension is slightly more comfortable than Polo's but the poor lower back support in the seats neutralises even that little benefit over long runs. Where this car truly shines is highway cruising. There isn't a better mile muncher than this car in this budget. VW wanted to beat the Koreans at their own game but the Koreans have mastered the art of packaging cheap stuff and making it look plush.
what I could realise from multiple video through various channel I feel the Finesse in the make of 1.0 is somewhere questionable and please don't take this as a negative statement ppl; I believe its the first engine by VW group that is being completely sourced in India and with the achievement of 93-94% localisation they are probably not able to find suppliers to the likes of Euro level in India; I mean obv they have a value chain and they can certainly make things available but since they don't compromise on the make processes so they won't be able to justify the cost with the king of market share they hold.. had this share been over 7-8% in India I don't see no reason for the group to bring Euro quality in India
@@SunderdeepSingh i have test driven multiple times but the only time when you know a car is after one has kept it for a while that is what i believe. A couple of niggles that are coming are in 1.0 make and not in 1.5 so certainly it can be questioned in a matured way and not just for the sake of questioning and I am not saying that this could be a factor as I said I am presuming my statement from various reviews on 1.0 engine..personally I am all in for Virtus GT hands down the best turbo petrol in the segment
@@prabhjotsingh7730 Sir Issue is not cooling. I'm driving Polo and also Octavia. @@IndianCarsBuzz actually bro the thing about base models in every brand is, they launch it just to showcase their introductory price, to put in ads that car starts from 11.21 lacs only(now it has increased) Brands never intend to have bigger sales from base model, generally middle model is the major target and then top. Base model is on least priority for them. But even then, VW has given so many things in base model as well, Apple carplay stereo, steering mounted controls, ALL LED Headlamps and tail light setup including interior lights as well. So they cut corners in only few things, rear AC vents and arm rests. Otherwise almost everything usable in there. So actually VW is giving more than they should have. I remember SCORPIO N used to have no stereo in base model not even speakers or anything. Manually adjustable mirrors. So it’s not matter of money, it’s about being base model.
Thanks
That’s an interesting point. I will try to research more on it Brother
@@SunderdeepSingh Thanks. I will also try to find out more.
Another interesting point to note is that the VW twins have claimed a milage increase upto 5.16% with BS6 Phase 2 update. 🙏
@@piyushpriyadarshi8132 Oh so are they claiming 20 now?
@@SunderdeepSingh It seems Skoda has updated their new brochure for both Slavia and Kushaq BS 6 Ph II with the new mileage. The figures for Slavia are:
1.0 Manual Old 19.47 Diff +0.85 New 20.32
1.0 AT Old 18.07 Diff +0.66 New 18.73
1.5 Manual Old 18.72 Diff +0.28 New 19.0
1.5 AT Old 18.41 Diff +0.95 New 19.36
This can be found while searching for the information on the net. I was searching about E20 Petrol and stumbled to this information.
Those alloys are badass 😍😍 where did u bought it?

My father in law dropped his plan of buying Honda City 4th Gen and went ahead with Ciaz because he felt it gave him better driving pleasure. I can ditto this guy’s sentiments.
@@dekarunabh exactly bro. Some cars are better in some aspect only. Honda city might be comfortable but driving pleasure is nowhere close in Honda City.
Ciaz is much better in that aspect in front of Honda City.

Great bhai brothers
What is the codename of the 6 speed manual gearbox in virtus?
Sir please make a video on how to maintain VW / Skoda 1L turbo engine...
Paaji please aap bhi slavia style wale alloy after market main dekho showroom se nhi wahan costly hongey agar acche rate pr online mil jaye looks main bhut enhance and elegance aa jaegi
Bro, I never recommend after market alloys because of the safety issues.
Do rear ac vents helps in faster cooling?
No, they just circulate the air but surely good for rear passengers.
I have a suspension problem in my slavia. Theres a lot of sideways jolting. I have compared with 3 slavias, but the service centre doesn't acknowledge the concern so i messaged you on insta regarding the same.

Plz make video with munish ji on clutch dead issue in manual 1.0 cars
I am currently facing issues on my vw virtus automatic 1.0L variant.
While pressing the brakes (gradually at slow pressure) at 50-60 km/hr the brake pedals, steering wheel and the car itself starts to vibrate.
What could be the reason for this issue?
Engine Mounts. Get it checked please
@@SunderdeepSingh What would be the cost I had to bear for it .
Or can be another reason from rusting?
1.0 has lag, if it is manual then gearshift clutch travel is long

Hi Sunderdeep ji,
Please guide. I have almost finalised taigun gt plus dsg. I like the car very much. But today i got the car for test drive for my parents and they have outrightly rejected it on the basis of its size. Now how should i convince them ? 😕
They simply said that the car may be well engineered and all but it doesnt look like a 21 lakh car at all 😑
Why convince them? If safety & drive isn’t enough. Prefer Scorpio N
love this car, and loved the review as well. great video man
Thanks
What is new tyre profile and rim size. Have you lowered the suspension too.
Tyres are 225/45-17
Earlier it was 205/55-16
Wheels are 8.5j
And no haven’t lowered the car because of wheel hanging outside body of car.
Will change wheels and then lower the car as well
@@MrSUKH Thanks Sukh jee. Does it affect mileage. Also can we use 205/55-17 or 215/55-17. Actually i want to increase overall tyre size by 1inch not just the rim maintaining the ground clearence though.
Some expert say that manual clutch of Virtus / Slavia is Hard , is it that terrible ??
It is not
I driven slavia and virtus.. but i felt slavia seats are more comfortable.. is it true on your opinion..
They are same Bro. City offers the best comfort.
@@SunderdeepSingh thank you
Alloys in base variants ?😮
Aftermarket
I think vw gave this car too much ground clearance which doesn’t give it a good looking stance
I know looks are subjective and this is my opinion
You give some, you get some. This gc makes it abuse worthy
even after this much gc this car could get scraped from underbody if we don't drive it mindfully, as the cylinder hang low and there are protectors to protect the underbody from sides which usually get scraped and produce noice. I have mix opinion about their existence, car gets scraped because they hang low but they hang low to protect the car
Even supercars are also jacked up by companies to do offroading like lamborgini sterrato and Porsche 😂😂
Sunder Paaji & CCD ❤ affair continues.
Bahut vadiya ownership review veere....thanks for sharing this information....my question is that veer what made you bought slavia over virtus?

Awesome
I am confused between base and middle variant.. can anyone tell me can we modify the dashboard of base variant to highline( mid variant) . With piano glossy finish and 10 inch touchscreen..if so wat will be the approx cost. Thank you
If budget is not restricted go for Highline (middle variant)
In base model Dashboard can be painted, i was quoted ₹4000, Stereo roughly ₹30,000
Fog lamps ₹20,000 with new switch.
And if you choose to put alloywheels, should cost you minimum ₹50,000
But if you pay 2 lacs more over base model and choose Middle one, you will be getting above things included also Cruise control, front and rear armrest, car connect, Keyless entry with push start function.
So Highline offers much more things.
You can do that with PPF, otherwise never open your dashboard. It will void the warranty
@@MrSUKH thank you so much.
@@SunderdeepSingh thank you so much
@@SunderdeepSingh may be it shouldn’t. Because that part in itself comes out without opening dashboard. That front plate kinda part comes out from left to right. Stereo stays in place. Hence it shouldn’t affect warranty at all
Sir Slavia 1.0 Automatic me mileage kyaa mil raha? Highways and traffic.

These are plati alloys very famous in Punjab and these strictly style alloys not recommended for performance. For performance u have only 3 options 1) lenso 2) bbs 3) momo

This car feels like a korean copy of a VW in terms of handling
The suspension is slightly more comfortable than Polo's but the poor lower back support in the seats neutralises even that little benefit over long runs.
Where this car truly shines is highway cruising. There isn't a better mile muncher than this car in this budget.
VW wanted to beat the Koreans at their own game but the Koreans have mastered the art of packaging cheap stuff and making it look plush.
As an owner of Slavia, I agree on many points including the issues you pointed out
7:12 who noticed that it's alloy 💪
what I could realise from multiple video through various channel I feel the Finesse in the make of 1.0 is somewhere questionable and please don't take this as a negative statement ppl; I believe its the first engine by VW group that is being completely sourced in India and with the achievement of 93-94% localisation they are probably not able to find suppliers to the likes of Euro level in India; I mean obv they have a value chain and they can certainly make things available but since they don't compromise on the make processes so they won't be able to justify the cost with the king of market share they hold.. had this share been over 7-8% in India I don't see no reason for the group to bring Euro quality in India
You surely haven’t driven 1.0 TSI. I have a Slavia atleast to give an opinion
If 1.5 TSI is available in a lower model then it would be a great option .
Yeah & 1.0 AT in base needed too

rear AC duct is missing in this variant, only negative aspect
Ah, yes. Big miss tbh.
Bhau rear ac jaroori nahi haiga , mere kol polo aa sirf front ac vents car nu pura cool krdi aa🥹🥹
@@prabhjotsingh7730 Sir Issue is not cooling. I'm driving Polo and also Octavia. Thing is that if i have to spend around 1400000 (on road for this variant) then in a proper sedan missing such simple feature gives you bad feeling. This is nothing but cost cutting that too without proper thinking by VW.
@@IndianCarsBuzz actually bro the thing about base models in every brand is, they launch it just to showcase their introductory price, to put in ads that car starts from 11.21 lacs only(now it has increased)
Brands never intend to have bigger sales from base model, generally middle model is the major target and then top.
Baki I will highly recommend if budget is not restricted, pick HIGHLINE(middle). You will love it more
