My vote is still for Jamie Lee Curtis in 'Trading Places'. They are definitely top 5 of the '80s. Right up there with Phoebe Cates in 'Fast Times.' Yes, I've thought about this before.
This was SUCH an AWESOME movie!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the part when Terri's brother answers the phone....and basically just cursing the caller out...hangs up the phone and says to Terri: "Mom says Hi." 😂That was one of the most HYSTERICAL parts of the movie!!! But honestly, Terri was HOT as both man or woman!! 💜😊🩷
I used to watch this movie everyday when HBO was showing it in '86. I was 5. I loved it! I couldn't imagine a 5 year old watching this movie today, let alone liking it. Crazy. Maybe I was I just a very unique 5 year old. In conclusion, all balls itch! It's a fact!
"Just One of the Guys" is definitely an underated gem. Thanks for the video. Seeing this year marks its 40th anniversary, could you work on filming locations for 1983's "Wargames"?
I can't believe you went to Arizona again for filming locations.Thats cool bro.Just like Can't Buy me Love .I used to imitate Buddy all the time.Thanx man.
If you ever come to Vegas there is a great film location from Cherry 2000 that still has a screen used vehicle left in the exact spot is rests in the movie. Hasn't moved an inch since the movie was made.
Being an 80s kid I thought I'd seen every teen movie of that era, but obviously not. I can't wait to sit and watch this film. I'll make sure to buy it at the weekend. Cheers, brother. 🙌
Very underrated gem! The building with the columns on the Backlot is the same one from the Batman series. Commissioner Gordon's office. Joyce Hyser was in that music video too, maybe a year later.
Class of '86. I liked this film along with Better off Dead. I didn't see either in the theatres but rather when they premiered on HBO instead. Terri was a true hottie.
I was in 11th grade in 1985 and I cannot remember this movie at all...I was to wrapped up in breakdancing.. seen your before & after shots that are impressive. Great work🤘
yeah! i suggested this one on your Can't Buy Me Love filming location video, i'm so happy! 'torn down or changed' - that sums up Phoenix locations alright!
Im from California, but I lived in Scottsdale for few years as a kid. I fell of bleachers @ Coronado High School and cut my chin open in the early 80's. Funny that you filmed that school. Cheers from San Diego
Another '80s teen flick filmed in "The Valley of the Sun" was 1987's CAMPUS MAN. It would be most appreciative if you could cover that film in a future video.👍
Wow ,cool u came to PHOENIX ! Im a local here, its pronounced PAP-A-GO Park ,u were close! A few movies were shot in PHX,Ninja 3,My TUTOR,Bill & Ted,Used Cars,Death Valley starring Paul Le Matt & Peter Billingsley
Thank you another one of my favorite movies. After I first watched this movie I have been a avid Billy Jacoby fan. Love that they saved that mural. It is so sad that so many of locations were lost. I started having reptiles after seeing Stuart Charno as "Reptile" Serbical and to this day I still have snakes and reptiles as pets. My leopard geckos name is SHERBY after that character.
It does sound like "Reptile" says Serpical when he introduces himself to Terry in the cafeteria. The phys ed teacher says Sherpico. So after I saw your comment I looked to see which one it was. It says on his wiki page that it's Harold "Reptile" Sherpico.........not that any of this matters. Anyway, the dude is a strange looking cat hahaha.
We had a Leatherby's ice cream shop here in Redding, CA. The interior was set up pretty much the same. It has also closed a couple years ago. Loved Just one of the guys and I appreciate you covering it
Joyce Hyser who played Terry was a hot commodity in the 80s. She dated Bruce Springsteen for four years during the early 80s (during the filming of this movie) and dated Warren Beatty starting in 1987. I had a major crush on Denise, played by Toni Hudson. Hudson was married to Dirk Benedict from 1986-1995.
I grew up in Phoenix and knew that they filmed there but it looked nowhere like where I grew up. I did take classes at Scottsdale High, after the film was made, and that was a pretty cool. Yes, the school was closed but there were certain classes for Scottsdale School District still held there.
It's a shame Big Surf gone now. It was a fun place to beat the heat of Arizona summers. Will carry on specifically my memories of the summer I was a lifeguard there.
What a great video! This was so fun to watch. Your trip to Arizona makes me wonder if you'll do The Wraith. After all, Sherilyn Fenn was in both Arizona movies Oh... PLEASE do The Wraith!
Nice video. Thanks. By the way, I know a lady that looks, sounds, and behaves just like "Aunt Edna" from the movie Vacation. Her name is Anita and she's a complete miserable old lady. I rewatched Vacation one time not too long ago. I was like "OMG"! Anita is Aunt Edana! Exactly/ totally!!!!!!!!
I hundred percent agree with your assessment of the last seen not looking right with the rest of the movie. I noticed that back in the day when I saw this movie as a kid now I know why he just didn’t seem right. Cool little trivia.
Killer Jimmy'Z hat! I had the shirt back in the late 80s with the guy in a woody and the back drop of a mushroom cloud. Also I loved Leigh McCloskey in Hamburger The Motion Picture. Hilarious T&A comedy.
Excellent Kurt…love your work as always. Hey I came across the music video by Randy Newman “I Love LA” and was wondering if anyone has chased down shots from that music video. The red head girl riding with Randy in the car, Laura Howard Granito, has a great story about it and said the dancing scene was on top of the Shangri-La building in LA!! They were with the band Toto and a couple members of Fleetwood Mack.
"All balls itch, it's a FACT!" Possibly the greatest line in movie history. LOL
Love this movie, one of the all time 80’s high school movies. Zabka is the ultimate 80’s bully, he did it so well.
Which brings me to my next excercise.....The pussy toss, for distance. Watch the prickers.
Greatest pair of cans ever put on film
My vote is still for Jamie Lee Curtis in 'Trading Places'. They are definitely top 5 of the '80s. Right up there with Phoebe Cates in 'Fast Times.' Yes, I've thought about this before.
They DEFINITELY were AMAZING!! 😉
Real, spectacular

One of my favorite scenes as well.
Omg yes, Buddy was my favorite!
@@michaelpt83 He definitely was AWESOME!! They could have probably made a movie just based on his character alone!! 😉

"Eat me".. old school shit talk

Wow I forgot about this movie....you talking about a Classic!!!! 😎🤘 Thanks Bro 💪
My favorite 80's movie of all time! This was an absolute gem. I just moved to Phoenix so this was really cool.
Great movie and great segment on this movie
The 80's ... when life was so much more simple. Kids today will never know or understand. Too bad we can't ever go back.
This man dosent stop great job
I think this movie is SO underrated! Love it. Buddy was HILARIOUS 😂 I had a crush on him...😁💜👍
"Just One of the Guys" is definitely an underated gem. Thanks for the video. Seeing this year marks its 40th anniversary, could you work on filming locations for 1983's "Wargames"?
Good call, the 7-11 in Big Bear still looks exactly the same!
I would love Kurt doing a Video of Wargames especially since it’s the 40th Anniversary
@@NickL951 that is awesome 👍
I seen this move a few times back in the day, no i see the locations it self.
Thank you Kurt for taking us to those places.
One of my favorite films. She totally looked like Ralph Macchio.
is that why william zabka wanted to beat her up. revenge for kicking his ass
I can't believe you went to Arizona again for filming locations.Thats cool bro.Just like Can't Buy me Love .I used to imitate Buddy all the time.Thanx man.
Another 80's classic! Great job on finding these locations👏
Great video.

It really was a great movie!!!!
There's a nudity scene at the end of the movie that rocks.
@@shannon_w. I'll look forward to seeing it.
@@guilty-of-being-right thanks for the heads up.😂👍
The most FAVORITE of mine, Thank you.
Very underrated gem! The building with the columns on the Backlot is the same one from the Batman series. Commissioner Gordon's office. Joyce Hyser was in that music video too, maybe a year later.
This is one of those movies they used to show on Comedy Central all the time.
Appreciate the long drive, I still don't know how you manage to spot all these clues you must have a photographic memory.
Love this movie! With very limited locations, you still were able to make this video just like any other one of your great videos!
Thank you for doing the locations for this 80’s classic
I loved this movie in high school in the 90s, and I just watched it again, still love it!
Great video, Kurt!! Still quite a bit to match up.
saw this last week. good 80s flick
Great video!! I live in phoenix and LOVE this movie!
I always loved the part when she ripped open her shirt at the end.
Class of '86. I liked this film along with Better off Dead. I didn't see either in the theatres but rather when they premiered on HBO instead. Terri was a true hottie.
Luv those 80s!💖👍!
Just watched last week again. So stoked to see this pop up. Ty!!

Always a great day when a new video by you drops. Keep 'em comin'!
I totally forgot about this movie so many great 80s comedies came out during that time in it got lost in the shuffle great vlog Kurt.
Another great video!
One of my favorite movies. Thanks for this. 💯
One of my favorite movies. Good job man
That movie is a lost classic. Great video and work!
I bought this movie on DVD. Big Surf in AZ was a high school hangout for us back in the day :)
Love the Jimmy'Z Hat!! I used to rock those shirts in the 90's!
I love this movie, thank you!
This movie is one of my favorites of all time. Thank you for this video!
Fantastic job!

This video has been needing done for years, LOL
I had such a crush on that actress. I don’t know how many times I watched that movie as a kid, but a lot.
Thank You for doing this. Loved this movie as a kid, had no idea it was mostly filmed in AZ.
One of my favorite movies.
This is such an awesome movie. I watched this so many times growing up. Great video bud, thank you!
I remember watching this movie every time it air on Showtime back in the days 👍
Toni Hudson is gorgeous!!! Her and Lee Montgomery (from Girls just wanna have fun) were in Prime Risk... Another underrated great flick.
Thank you for great content Kurt!
Such a classic movie. Thanks for this. :)
Thumbs up to the hard work you and your family put into these videos!
Kind of ironic that the movie lot changed much less than the other locations like the schools. Great work as always!

I really wish the one in Arizona was still open. I was 25 years too late. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thank you for watching.
Great video. I'm with you. It definitely felt like a fake studio lot ending. Those buildings looked fake.
Another incredible job! Such a great classic 80's movie, too bad it really isn't broadcast anywhere anymore. Sandy was so hot!
