- I got some new lights for the mk4 golf, which are custom made to have LED Halo (Angel eyes) and Twindicator mod added. What do you lot think?

Yeah where did you buy the headlights??
You’ll need those retaining springs, if you just twisted off the black locating plate off the auxbeam bulbs and locked them in place with the spring and then twist your bulbs back in. And also you’ll be doing a great job of burning the retina’s of oncoming traffic with those bulbs in a reflector housing, you wont get any sort of pattern at all without a projector lense.

Headlights with projectors are much nicer then new ones...
I have a set of LED cobs in my high beam housing and they're brilliant. I'm not so confident with buying a set for the dipped beams though, I have tested it but the beam pattern is ridiculously sketchy in mine
Feed that clip around the bulb mate otherwise the bulb will be boucing up and down and blinding people.
My advice to you would be is take off the cover off the back of the headlight unit as you'll burn out the LED(s) with it on. Even though LED's in theory don't get that hot they still need cooling with the fan in a set up like this.
The leds do have built in mini fans I belive, but Ill have a check and be careful 👌
@@BWTV Yeah they look like they are built in. Only other option you have is to buy a second cover for the head light units and drill out a hole the exact size of the fan unit so it allows the fan the do it's job and stops moisture getting into the unit.
Lights look top notch.
And just for future ref. Those screws holding light units in are called torx screws😉😆.

why just not buy r32 lights so u have xenon lights and goes nice with r32 front bumper and then u make blinkers to shine all the time like day lights
Mainly because they go for silly prices and I wanted something different 🤙
and also if you go for xenon you need to upgrade your whole system from halogen to xenon, as in all wires and relays from inside the cabin
you should have taken that black plastic ring of the leds, put it in and locked it with the metal clip and then put the leds in and twist them till they locked in place in the black plastic piece.

So you have the North American spec set up for fromt indicator and parking light combo(thus the dual filament bulb) .... Except the guy use the fog light spot as the other indicator and deleted the Euro spec city light. Hi from Canada btw :)

id keep that cover off mate! the bulb has a small fan attatched to it and with that cover on its gonna get to hot and possibly melt!

u did somthing wrong you have to leave the metal wire to hold your led lamp into your headlight and btw your new led lamp you can remove the socket at the part where you have to hold it with the metal wire that you throw away.

Putting the cover on the back of lights makes the fan useless and alas after 3 nights bulbs fuck up

Do they work on H4 aswell? I've got a Volkswagen Bora, but got H4 lights instead of the shown H7

Wont you get any problems with the new lights with the m.o.t. ? Because the light patern? Your old lights have the lenses that creats the patern that you need because xenon lenses?
Ended up changing back to standard bulbs after a week or 2. They were blinding everyone
@@BWTV they looked nice but i did have the same problem. Here in the netherlands i didnt get a m.o.t. because of led bulbs.
