Finnish style munkki, what you ate last is not a doughnut at all, at least not for me it isn't, because it's not made from the same dough as those other doughnuts. We call all kind of doughnuts as munkki as well you call them, such as those berlin doughnuts, but when those are ring shaped, people prefer to call them as donitsi. But the last one is the same kind of munkki what you eat during Vappu! 👌🏻 Ps. That smell is most likely coconut oil, which is usually used to deep fry those munkki doughnuts.
I always preferred berliinin munkki.., until they came up with omar and then pätkis, even the bon bon was better than berliininmunkki, it is way too sweet for me. But you should also try omenalörtsy, especially a freshly baked one if you can sometime find from the marketsquare.

Namimunkki has to be eaten as fresh as possible, before its quark filling has completely been absorbed into the dough.
Omar Munkki and Berliini munkki are good, I’m with team Omar
I always look for berliner donuts without the jam in them, I really don't like the jam, it's the same thing on "Fastlagsdagen" when we eat "Fastlagsbakelser" the ones that kinda look like burgers but with cream inbetween the buns rather than meat, I HATE the ones with the wierd stuffing inside the bun, I much rarther have a plain bun with just the cream inbetween and no filling!
Im defienetly on a team turkinpippurimunkki, turkish pepper munkki! I loooved those and i hope that next halloween we got them back 🤤😋😋
If i had to choose one of them, berliinimunkki for the win! But its too sweet even for me and i just cant eat it more than like two in a year 😆
Omar doughnuts are the best. My number one pregnancy graving😫😍
I love those namimunkkis. Not a fan of the others. There is quark in the namimunkki dough :)
Omar is better imo, Berliininmunkki has wayyy too much jam in it. I really like the pink frosting tho 😁🧁
Ps. That smell is most likely coconut oil, which is usually used to deep fry those munkki doughnuts.
Team Omar munkki. I used to have it almost every day when I first moved to Finland. :)
It's Piispanmunkki!
Piispan munkki vain varsinais-Suomessa ... ja Muualla Pohoisempana Berliinin munkki :P
Asun turussa ja piispamunkki on pitkulainen munkki... pyöreä on berliininmunkki 😎
I'm team no jam or other filling 😄 just plain munkki! Frosting is okay though!
Omar all the way. It's just because I personally don't enjoy jam in pretty much any pastry. Now I actually wanna go buy some not gonna lie xD
I like them both.
I always preferred berliinin munkki.., until they came up with omar and then pätkis, even the bon bon was better than berliininmunkki, it is way too sweet for me. But you should also try omenalörtsy, especially a freshly baked one if you can sometime find from the marketsquare.
Namimunkki has quark in the dough. makes it more tangy than an ordinary munkki
I think the nami one has some maitorahka in the dough. Not sure.
Team Omar! The Berliinin munkki is too sweet, and I don't like jam in my munkki.
I definitely LOVE berliinin munkki😋❤️
