How about 4 numbers with a number repeating like 00459?
Neither function can handle that set of numbers it seems.

I do have a question and would like to know if I can find it using Excel. If I have a given sample, say 6, and I want to know how many permutations there are for that, I know how to find the total possible permutations. What I am looking for is a formula to calculate known permutations if I dissect them. For Instance, with a sample of 6 in groupings of 4, what would the formula be to tell how many permutations would 1,2/2,4/4,5/3,6 provide?
