is there a way to enter a few numbers in combin function and make it so excel displays all the possible combinations? i need this to be sure i will not get 2 same combinations if i make them by hand. was i clear? is there a way?

Is it really that difficult because i have tried and failed a thousand times. Question How can i use combin, (not combina) to create a list of all the combinations of 24 from 35. I need to create a list from low to high in a column. Thanks Jim

I want to make a combination of 4 letters ( whether meaningful or not) out of 26 Alphabets , is there is any formula which can show all the maximum results. For example : i want 4 letter nzgy out of A-Z alphabets. Kindly help
+pankaj kumar this is a combination. Since you want any four different letters out of 26, you just have 26C4. That gives how many ways there are to take 4 different letters out of 26 different letters.

+Ash Shah sounds like the order of choosing matters. You get two choices, but the first choice is a chairperson and the second is is assistant. So 7 choices for first choice and 6 for second choice. 7*6 = 42 ways
