I liked the introduction with the cowboy boots. Reminded me not only of when the Truck Driver is checking his tanks and tires but also Kenny Kirzinger’s Rusty Nail.
This type of old and rusty trucks has become a global masterpiece and at the same time it has become a source of panic among drivers. It is really an enjoyable adventure. Thank you to everyone who passed by my comment.
Well done. You managed to capture the moment without going crazy and putting ya selves in danger. Next time, plumb in the air horn. You got to admit. That was part of it. Like the truck yelling in anger. But again, really well done.❤
So this Truck is not just a pretty face. Its been around and its very popular it seems. I managed to buy a 1/43 scale Peterbilt 281 just recently. Its only small but a good scale. I also bought the 1967 Plymouth Valiant to accommodate Rusty. Great film. Dennis Weaver a hell of a highway commuter fighter. Everybody loves the Truck.👍🇭🇲🦘✌️
Ohhh, you're beautiful! - I gave you the road, why don't you take it? Why don't you GO? ...He's got some, some, some supe'd up diesel and my car's just not fast enough. Love the old Petes, had two myself. Built up a 351 with a smoke rolling 335 and a 348A with a 8V71N. I could never drive either of those two trucks without thinking of poor old Dennis Weaver. Keep'em Rolling!
I loved that movie as a teenager! Great Film. As i look back One of the things that strikes me in reality Is how that 1960 Peterbilt is able to keep up with that Dodge Valiant doing 90MPH??? In reality Trucks that size needed more Horsepower to go that speed. I dont believe that truck was equipped with the Cummins NTC 350 maybe then would be able with highway gears
@@bro70 You are correct, but i do know in some part that when Dennis Waver was trying to run away from the truck that the film showed for a few seconds the plymounth valiant speedometer going 85- 90mph and probably going that speedometer clip from another car
If you check out “RexCars1” he actually owned this truck some 12 years back. In the comments he explained it originally had a Cummins 262. During a music video it blew up and was replaced with a small cam 350 hp Cummins. This truck is now owned by Brad Wike in NC.
Man I tell ya I seen about 11 videos on here and every one of them trying to repeat the original duel..I bet Steven speilberg is laughing his ass off and still getting paid
The original Movie was made for TV and the original truck was destroyed so they had to source another which was a later model, if i recall there were 2 other trucks , 3 in total. During the film you can see where different trucks were use. The original film destroyed a 1957 truck and a later year model was used for scenes added later for the Cinema release.
excellent camera work, that pass and how the truck is captured in the mirror, Steven Spielberg will be proud
I was going to make the same comment,it is great work.
One of my favorite movies!

Hard to believe these roads have changed so little!
yes
Kind of cool to see how a lot of the roads haven't changed that much.
Thank you so much! I love the old movie and still the Pete Boy! Greetings from Germany!
That scary look in the mirror 😮… Never Forget this rusty Pete !!
One of my favorite movies and trucks
Man, this thing is really terrifying! Great job.
Well done. You managed to capture the moment without going crazy and putting ya selves in danger. Next time, plumb in the air horn. You got to admit. That was part of it. Like the truck yelling in anger.
But again, really well done.❤

One of the best movies from my yute 😂

? All veichles can run indefinetly with maintenance, especially old reliable simple ones
1947.
Love the Magnum wagon for the open rear gate shots!!....
Would have preferred the Plymouth Valiant.
"He's got some kind of Souped Up Diesel"!....
Carey Loftin would give a thumbs up for that, I reckon.
Totally
Superbly done..👍
Great film and great reshoot ❤😂😂😂😂
What a beautiful old monster.... ❤
Legends say he's still after that Valiant

Still as scary as ever.
Fantastic! 👍
What a cute monster that truck is. Love to drive one of those😅
Nice reenactment. Just like watching an actual clip from the movie

Excellent.. Only thing could have been better is ☝️ Red Color Car..
This movie used to scare the crap out of me when I was little 😂😂
Yep. Same here. But me and my best friend always made it a point to watch it when it was on. Usually WGN out of Chicago.
yes
No honking of the truck horn 📯 that's what made the movie intriguing and a little scary😮
big fail that didn't honking
Absolutely brilliant
Great iconic scene ,Up there with original,Hey stop ❤
It was a good movie and they did great with this
Well done, just like the original!!
Man that was awesome
😎 Back to the 1971 ! 👍❤
Just imagine doing the hand-signal to wave the car by in this truck 😂✅👌👌
AWESOME TRUCK❤ GREAT MOVIE I WATCHED IT 10 TIME OR MORE IN MY LIFE TIME. AND IAM SURE THAT REALLY HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE, A TRUCK AND CAR CHASE!
Very well done!
I love that peterbilt truck
That is brilliant!!!
I like it. Pretty cool stuff.
Classic thriller.thanks for sharing.diesel.
A great alternate ending to Duel is Dennis Weaver getting out of a cab in front of his house, And the Duel truck parked across the street!@@😮😮😮😮
Today Cybertruck chases Peterbilt :-)))
Эти машины сделали с душой.
Need an orange Valiant!
Just needs a 1673 cat with a cat 950 air cleaner and it would be perfect.
The scenery has changed very little aside from more greenery growing!
Love to know who the Duel driver was
Carey lofton. He helped on bullet, and drove herby. Sadly missed
Rusty Nails never die😂
As long as that truck does not get scrapped. It will outlast us all.
Very nice ❤
Esse filme do Spielberg é um clássico imortal!
I had the dvd movie. But my brother had it it his storage. And they sold everything in there that he had. So i lost it. I want to get another one.

Neither went 90mph. Spielberg worked his magic and made it appear so.
@@bro70 You are correct, but i do know in some part that when Dennis Waver was trying to run away from the truck that the film showed for a few seconds the plymounth valiant speedometer going 85- 90mph and probably going that speedometer clip from another car
@raystarky3896 Yes, easy to show a speedometer going as fast as you like.
It was implied by the car driver that the truck may have been modified. It's performance didn't seem to be factory standard.
@@martytdd1606 That is a strong possiblity being hollywood loves to make more drama
Flammable
Was it shot in the movie location ? Looks close.
yes
I am going to leave you in the dust now, rusty pete!!
Filmed on empty roads at 8:00 am on a Sunday.........
Imagine you see this truck chasing you XD
Not the original truck. No railway line bolted across the front, as seen in the railway crossing scene.
is this the same truck that Brad Wike owns today?
Yes it is
You should have gotten an old valiant as well it would have been awesome
Mad . I want to buy that truck .
Le top 👏👏👏 il ne manquait plus que la voiture d'origine 🤣🤣🤣
Wau! Sau cool, ich würde gerne mitfahren.
Cool !!
The original movie was awsome. Denise Weaver started in it.
I am curious what kind of engine does It use Is It a small cam?

Dennis Weaver "chester" was the star too.
What is its fuel? Oil?😅
Pero cuando empieza la película el chófer del camión trae botas negras
Oh come on , you have to find a orange red 71 Dart w/ AM radio & a Dennis weaver look a like
No " PRO FORMANCE " ??
ITS HIM!
Bro i see a truck driver on window 😂😂
You'd seriously be forgiven for thinking you were watching scenes from the original
All you need is Dennis Weaver back
What movie?
Reenactment of 1961 movie called duel using same old truck and new car
Scenes identical to those from the movie!
DUEL 😢 BUT RETAKE
THE BEST MOVIE PETERBILT 281
Fill here up with ethel!
if Ethyl don't mind!
Man I tell ya I seen about 11 videos on here and every one of them trying to repeat the original duel..I bet Steven speilberg is laughing his ass off and still getting paid
Truck suppose to lay on the horn when you passed it up.
You should always travel as a pair..1ft.apart!!
USA Peterbilt 281 1960 and USSR KrAZ 256 1966 they look similar
CCCP USSR SZOVJETUNIO SZOVJET SOVIJET KRAZ-258B TZ-22 TRUCKS!!!
昔は、煽り運転してもネットに晒される事は無いからね〜。
A duel tanker needs to be in gta v and 6
Next time do 24 frames

There were only two trucks used in the film, at this time there is no documentation that ties this truck to the film.
Too bad you didn't have an old Valiant around.
Great film a few cock up but still great
two continuous yellow line in the middle of the road ... never overtake ! the truck driver gets angry if u do that.
