dude in chat making fun of guzu for saying he had nightmares about dying "not addicted btw" he says... lol i had nightmares about dying and i only played for like a couple weeks. When you spend hours upon hours predicting every way your character can get killed in every situation you encounter, some of that manifests in your dreams
edit: i lost my warrior to a dc at lvl 40 btw so it was worse than any of the nightmares

I once started a raid lead with "Ok, before we start with the first pull, a word from our sponsor (pause) ... Raid: Shadow Legends" and the entire raid burst out in laughter.
The reason why classic is so good for hardcore is because it was never made to be played that way if they made it with the idea of hardcore the game for sure would hold your hand and be made to help you get to 60
That was much faster levelling than I had in the original vanilla. Having said that, we obviously knew nothing back then and didn't have the same tools at our disposal. And as a complete noob, I leveled as a resto druid. Now that was painful. That would be an even harder challenge for hardcore.
He wasn't cheating with the content. Official HC came out between the penultimate episode and the final episode of his arcane mage only challenge and he finished up his official HC mage leveling stream before finishing up the last few levels on arcane mage.

Not surprised. Raid still places easily in the upper third of mobile games, even if for PC or Console standards, it's abhorrent. But the mobile market is the biggest and Raid is sponsoring everything while stealing innovation from dying competitors. They're doing it the right way.
Spells are strong in classic levelling, the biggest problem is mana. Stacking intellect to give a bigger battery goes a long way to having a full toolkit up at all times.
I think his speed to lvl 60 included mainly leveling with rested xp. That should help quite a bit on hours spent. But still well done

Still mad when hardcore came out my level 40 warrior died in the gurubashi arena to a slightly higher level rouge and warlock in the gurubashi arena. I did it to myself thinking it was just the warlock. Havent played hardcore since.
i don't see how you can get mad about that, i lost my 40 warrior to a dc, you wanna talk about mad? dying in the gurubashi arena is 100% avoidable by... not entering the gurubashi arena

Would be really fun to do challenges like this to spice it up, but its would be more fun to do if blizz added some reward or like a "buff" or something achievement-like to show it off, and also to make it a gamerule so its uncheatable, not just an addon

I don't understand the magebrain of not even having done quests and just blasting to 60. 90% of vanilla is the traditional mmo experience of levelling being an experience.
Fire spells only is dead if they melee range any one mob with an interrupt.
That point he put into Elemental Precision in the frost tree invalidated his whole run...lol jk
So funny when people complain that they feel weaker as they gain levels in War Within, yet Classic was way worse on that front.
War Within has scaling. You literally get weaker as you level.

I started this challenge like a year ago on my mage Arcaneofc... I was having fun with it but stopped playing it around 20 for some reason!

leveling a warrior is way harder than a mage wich can dps range, higher, has a blink, mana shield and sheep ^^
It's a different difficulty. Warrior has high passive defenses with simple gameplay meaning you must master warrior fundamentals to survive, can keep attacking fully until death, with many ways to recover health, shield is an option for more safety. Also scale very well with weapon upgrades. Has huge power spike at 40 with plate, mortal strike. If you learn to range pull as warrior in dangerous places you'll save yourself many deaths that charge would kill you. Mage has a huge toolkit and survival all about mana management, without mana a mage is dead, very squishy so need to avoid damage with positioning and skills, most damage from tooltip so upgrades not important.
Do us all a favor then…level a warrior..while handicapping 66% of your abilities..and document it like he did. Show your skills and quit whining!
