- Hello!
Welcome back, or a warm welcome if you’re new here. Join us as we venture to the capital of Wales, Cardiff on what an all electric Class 387/1 EMU.
What once would have been impossible to see or run, is now possible, with an all electric train being able to operate through to Cardiff Central thanks to the OHLE program, which extended to Cardiff.
Since the cracks started appearing in the 80X fleet, Class 387s have become a common appearance at Cardiff!

Think Sir John Hankshaw and Thomas Walker would be a bit miffed to see you crediting Brunel with the engineering feat of the Severn Tunnel
When did they start running to wales?
They have been for sometime now. Roughly around the time cracks were identified in the 80X fleet. Possibly earlier!
