Just getting back in the hobby myself. Took a 20 yr break🤯
Looks amazing, good choice on the substrate. Excited to see you back keeping another African Cichlid tank!
Me too mate! Really looking forward to watching these guys grow & color up. Adding a few too of course👌🏻👍🏻
glad you are back.
Thanks! Really excited to have a showtank again & watch them grow👍🏻
Great video as always Lewis. It's good to hear you talking so enthusiastically about African cichlids again and also the breeding side of the hobby.
I agree with you re the yellow Lab I would wager it's a male, and once they start breeding they don't stop.
Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe and take care mate.
Thanks John👍🏻 yeah really excited to be getting back into a African cichlid showtank.appreciate you watching mate
Nice. African cichlids are awesome fish
They sure are. They are the fish that got me into the hobby. Nice to have some back in the fishroom👍🏻
Tanks and fish all looking awesome! 👏😎
Thanks I appreciate it! Really like how it’s all turned out👍🏻
Looks great, them yellow labs pop against that black
Thanks! Really excited for them to grow and color up👌🏻 hopefully it won’t take long!🤞🏻
Shouldn't take too long they have a decent amount of room for growth in there.
Great job.and substrate look very nice👍👏
Thanks my friend👍🏻
@@cichlidscape 😉👍
What is the white material that you put under the middle rock ( very beginning of video )? Beautiful set ups 👍
Amazing
Thanks pal👍🏻
That's Dope
Glad your back to keeping African Cichlids; looks like I’ll be back to watching!! Stock it with some German strain peacocks (turkis, red dragon/fire fish, saffron)….
Thanks for checking it out👍🏻 I sure do like the turkis so there’s a change for one of those! I have a dragonblood in there now. Interested to see how he turns out
Would love to see you tackle an American/African mixed tank with some predatory fish
Thanks for checking this one out Richard. I understand the challenge of those tanks but I always think about my blood parrot now compared to how he used to be in my African cichlid tanks. He’s so much more vibrant and happier you know. (At least he seems it!) I really like keeping fish in natural environments at the moment with best possible ph’s etc etc. Maybe one day though!
@@cichlidscape love your videos. Great content :) I’m super interested in seeing mixed cichlid tanks currently very interesting how the two groups interact with each other
Add dubosi especially kaiser
Loved it. Is the current too high?
Oh no definitely not. The filter is facing up which helps disperse its power, creating surface movement/gas exchange etc. If the fish want to get out of the flow they can go lower in the tank. They seem to like being higher in the flow though!😂
I remember your old videos you used to have alot of breeding groups like jalo reefs, lawadas etc what happened to most of ur breeding groups?
I did yeah. I sold a lot of my african cichlids and the breeding groups when I moved house a few years ago now. I of course kept my blue neon group though👌🏻
Looks fantastic, but they really can't dance to that music😊
Anywho.....I love how minimalist it is, I tried being minimal but I'm a bit of a fussy dick and keep adding to it until it becomes a total planted, drift woody plantfest....I've subscribed......theats not a threat honest....😊🏴
I tend to have the same issue too! Hahaha simple scape until it’s not😂
@@cichlidscape your fish are the stars m8...🏴👍
