    Great video as always Lewis. It's good to hear you talking so enthusiastically about African cichlids again and also the breeding side of the hobby.
    I agree with you re the yellow Lab I would wager it's a male, and once they start breeding they don't stop.
    Looking forward to the next one. Stay safe and take care mate.

    Glad your back to keeping African Cichlids; looks like I’ll be back to watching!! Stock it with some German strain peacocks (turkis, red dragon/fire fish, saffron)….

      Thanks for checking it out👍🏻 I sure do like the turkis so there’s a change for one of those! I have a dragonblood in there now. Interested to see how he turns out

    Would love to see you tackle an American/African mixed tank with some predatory fish

    • @cichlidscape
      @cichlidscape  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for checking this one out Richard. I understand the challenge of those tanks but I always think about my blood parrot now compared to how he used to be in my African cichlid tanks. He’s so much more vibrant and happier you know. (At least he seems it!) I really like keeping fish in natural environments at the moment with best possible ph’s etc etc. Maybe one day though!

      @@cichlidscape love your videos. Great content :) I’m super interested in seeing mixed cichlid tanks currently very interesting how the two groups interact with each other

    Loved it. Is the current too high?

    • @cichlidscape
      @cichlidscape  2 года назад +1

      Oh no definitely not. The filter is facing up which helps disperse its power, creating surface movement/gas exchange etc. If the fish want to get out of the flow they can go lower in the tank. They seem to like being higher in the flow though!😂

    I remember your old videos you used to have alot of breeding groups like jalo reefs, lawadas etc what happened to most of ur breeding groups?

    • @cichlidscape
      @cichlidscape  2 года назад +1

      I did yeah. I sold a lot of my african cichlids and the breeding groups when I moved house a few years ago now. I of course kept my blue neon group though👌🏻

    Looks fantastic, but they really can't dance to that music😊
    Anywho.....I love how minimalist it is, I tried being minimal but I'm a bit of a fussy dick and keep adding to it until it becomes a total planted, drift woody plantfest....I've subscribed......theats not a threat honest....😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
