I really hope the Spurs nab him. Even if they have to use their 12th overall pick. He is soo good...the criticism against him about his lack of athletic ability...Duncan played for about a decade without his original athleticism or knees and did just fine lol. This kid has all the intangibles and IQ a star in the NBA would need, plus he's got a sweet stroke and can shoot that 3 pointer
@@jpap967 I know the NBA is obsessed with young draft picks who are 19, 20 yrs old but the 4 year seniors are really overlooked nowadays but they can make immediate impact. Case and point with Garza... his game is polished and he knows who he is as a player. He gets the job done at his pace and gets where he wants to on the court. His whole game reminds me of Jokic minus the playmaking.
@@MrjShelby playmaking can be worked on and taught though, especially with a team that has a solid system and coaching in place like the Spurs do. Hardwork and cannot be taught, and I have a feeling Garza will be a very hardworker in the NBA and will improve drastically. His ceiling is so high
@@jpap967 Right... if he buys into that system they’ll get the best out of him. He clearly has all the tools he just has to be given the right opportunity. They have a good young core too with Keldon, Poeltl, Dejounte, White, Vassell... seems like they’re missing an outside scoring big👀
Double him. Triple him. Doesn't matter. Heavy contact, sharp shooting Garza. Best college player playing next to the 2nd best college player in Cade Cunningham
I can only see him in 4 Jerseys: 1. Kings (could be bench or starter) Luke Looks like he’d fit super well in transition and creating scoring opportunities with Fix and Bagley, Hield. Garza will be an eventual starter. 2. Spurs (most likely starter) Garza would have nobody better to learn from then Pop and Tim Duncan, the Spurs have no depth at the position and Luke will be a great piece to give the team it’s much needed good big man since Aldridge and Duncan (not comparing) 3. Thunder (instant starter) Luke would instantly be going to a team FULL of young players and Garza would be a great scorer alongside whoever they draft and SGA, once Luke’s defence improve and he gets a bit faster he’ll cause issues!! 4. Bucks (instant potential starter) Luke would instantly be learning from the Vet Brook Lopez and helping hopefully Take the Bucks to the Finals and maybe win. He will an instant gap at the big man spot and he’s young with loads of potential with Giannis and Middleton.
It’s always crazy to me that someone who dominates college basketball doesn’t always translate to the next level. I said before the draft any team that doesn’t take a chance on him is crazy then my Pistons took him. I’m really loving Troy weaver right now lol
I know we're supposed to think he's shit and undraftable, but with that jumpshot I think he's going to be a steal. Like the guy below me says - he could be a good fit for a Spurs system that could hide his one on one defensive deficiencies, similar to Poetrl, though he's got more offensive gifts that him.
Bucks and Luka Garza. They already have a similar player in Brook Lopez with limited mobility. Long and elite defenders around him in a drop coverage scheme? Good fit for Luka. And with not having to carry the offensive load, he can focus on grabbing boards and deterring/blocking shots.
This is one of the best CBB RUclips channels ever! This channel is so underrated

WELCOME TO DETROIT, GARZA!
Cade, Killian, and Garza can be an elite big 3 and definitely will make Grant and Bey better players. Happy to be a Pistons fan!

Gonna be a STEAL for anyone who drafts him... my guess is the Spurs

jokic style
He will shoot it. That’s what the pistons needed

The fact that he AND Cade are on our team is kinda nuts
His stat line seems impressive, did he play against any good players and teams?
Iowa plays in the Big Ten, so yes.
In a interview he said he’s planning on losing weight. He needed that size to bang in the Big 10 but he wont need it in the nba.

Bucks need to draft Luka Garza with their 2nd round pick (32)! Brook Lopez successor!
He signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves on August 23rd,2022
Steal for the Stons. This will prove to be a Jokic type draft steal!
Rare breed
Hoping 2k don't do him bogus.. I need at least a 85 close shot and a 80 3pt shot. He should be able to score with the best

You rlly think lebron wants this guy lmfao
Don’t know why he’s projected to be a 2nd round pick, HE WAS NAMED THE COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
his age, defense, athleticism are negatives. definitely could be a steal in the 2nd round tho, with how dominant he was offensively in college.
