For anyone about to interview, prepare and practice beforehand. I used chat gpt to help. I personally spent an hour before each interview but everyone’s study habits are different. Best of luck in landing your new job! (Background->) I had two interviews to land my Cultivation Tech job. First one was a 15 minute verbal interview with the hiring manager over the phone. Second was a 30ish minute long zoom call with the cultivation managers. I have now gained my agent id and I start this October!
I'll be taking over as the Inventory Control Manager at one of the best Grow facilities in the state on July 1st. Took the tour Tuesday, holy shit! I'm so stoked. This is going to be so much fun.
Iv been working at a legal grow for 1 year now and if you genuinely wanna know what the cons are check out the softwhite underbelly interview of the cannabis grower. Better then most jobs just the corporate aspects are so dumb there’s sometimes way more efficient ways to do things or instead of shooting for quality they over rush us with to many plants and the quality gets blown out. Lotta different factors but you willl still learn a lot about weed.
Literally getting dressed and ready for work now I work at a cultivation center it’s not what everyone thinks it’s farming it’s hot a lot of work burn out is high in this field companies also take advantage of you if you’re a hard worker you will literally do everything while your lazy co workers do nothing and they allow it because cultivation is always under staffed they won’t get rid of lazy workers they pay minimum wages at all of them not one company pays above it the hrs are tough and most companies ask you to do mandatory overtime
There is this book called the 4 agreements. If you want success in life, you work hard. Working harder than others isn’t a problem unless you start to mentally compare wages. If I went up to my boss and told them to fire someone slow and give me their paycheck they’d probably consider it, because they know I’ve proven myself. Can anyone give me a pay rate on this field? Im thinking about taking actual classes here in chicago to earn certs and everything im just curious as if this is something that you can actually do for the longrun
Depends on experience Im at a place who pays minimum wage for most cultivation techs, and they do everything and get delegated different levels of responsibility depending on experience and knowledge. Those people who move up proving their skillset go to higher ranks, or jobs and only some get raises. I applied as a lead cultivator, was hired as, but have to run the gauntlet so they can make sure im not gonna mess up millions of dollars of product, so i make $19 work alongside the techs making $16-18 who capped out on learning and i got keys on day two. Just be ambitious

In ohio they start at 16/hrs and never cap more than 18/hr
