I laugh now at people who say, "Yeh, but it's a dry heat." Humid or dry, 117* is BRUTAL. Good luck, Bonnie, and just keep looking fabulous!!! ; )

I really appreciate you making the point about how to draw the eye away from the lower half of the body. In fact I was hoping you could do a video on tricks to draw the eye to the face/neck and shoulder. Quarantine has not been nice to my figure lol.
The Kimono trend has been huge here in the US for at least five years and is still going strong, but not so much here in my state, California. Just choose them carefully, many kimonos are made of polyester, which is very uncomfortable to wear at all times. Silk, cotton and rayon/viscose are all breathable and nice.
Timely as it's been scorching this week 🌞. Shorts look so lovely and I'm sat wearing them watching this video but unfortunately I'd never wear them outside my house/garden, very dodgy legs 🥺 x
Great video Gemma! Wearing shorts can look effortless after you’ve tried on a lot of pairs. Length,fabric,lifestyle play into the whole vibe. Once you’ve done that work,wear them with confidence and a smile.
I started wearing shorts again a couple of months ago ,l hadn’t worn them in years ,we live in Florida ,We went away for a couple of days ,l bit the bullet and bought distressed shorts and a striped tee shirt I also bought raggy canvas sneakers ,l was surprized at how cool l looked ,I’m 5 ft tall a bit overweight and I’m 72 years old my husband approved ,I bought a couple more pairs of shorts too ,I ve been too self conscious to wear them in later years ,but when you see how some women of all ages shapes and sizes wear them without looking to see how they look in the mirror, l think I don’t look bad x
I agree with you: distressed, ripped and/or frayed denim is never classy. I don’t think denim itself is very classy, I’d rather wear something like linen or lightweight cotton chino/twill trousers. Denim, to me, is for wearing when something very rugged is needed, like clearing brush! I know most women would disagree with me, but that’s just my opinion. Note: other types of trousers are quickly replacing jeans in many influencers content, I think we many people discovered during lockdown how uncomfortable jeans really are for all-day wear.

I think it’s down to how you feel wearing them. If you feel confident wearing them then I think you should, style them up beautifully and no one will notice lumpy legs 👍🏻🌸💕
It’s mid June and it’s already 99° F where I live.. or 35° C.. there will be no wearing shorts this summer, just me, fully naked, all the time. 😂 it’s too HOT!
We had 32°C yesterday.OMG, I was wearing a kaftan in my garden, hiding there, no step outside my property. Am lucky to being able to stay at home these days, hiding 😅😅😅

Check out European cut shorts that narrow to mid knee. Hides wrinkled knees and looks great with sneakers and sandals. Please no flip flops!

If your on the coast or bay it can work ( California). I live in the valley it was 110 where I live; we went to the coast it was upper 60s.
