However I still recommend placing minions - When collecting materials for Rhys, instead of going for 10 enchanted coal go for 10 enchanted diamonds in the obsidian sanctuary. This is because of the diamond blocks that spawn there. - 43:01 You can actually get the ether transmission ability on the AOTE, but regardless you still need ender slayer 7 to drop the RNG for it. You can also use the etherwarp conduit on its own without it being on the AOTE/V.

For those seeing this after the 20th of August 2024, they updated the quest Rhys gives in the beginning (As well as some other things regarding the Dwarven Mines), but basically, you no longer need 3x10 enchanted ore types, but a TOTAL of 15 enchanted ore types, amongst any (Could be 3 enchanted coal, 10 enchanted lapis and 2 enchanted redstone f.x.), effectively halving the requirements for the quest. And yes, you can also just get 15 enchanted lapis if you wanted.

For the people that like numbers, I've gotten a bit of an idea how pristine works. First, once you break a gemstone it determines how many drop. This is the same regardless of block or pane. Then, it rolls for pristine on each separate block. After that, it applies your mining fortune. So with a bit of statistics, the lowest pristine chance to proc is 1-(1-pristine)^3, but can go up to 1-(1-pristine)^5
Very detailed video. It just confuses me what I should be doing at what point since you just kinda explained everything about mining in a bit of a confusing way. For example, you talked about getting hotm7, and then you mentioned getting ruby and gem drill. Like, I would prefer to get gauntlet before getting hotm 7, cuz even though you can get hotm 7 at that point, you will barely have any powder to upgrade the perks since you cant powder mine before gauntlet unless u max yog. So overall more like an explanation to all of mining but not a step by step guide imo. Appreciate the work tho
Actually for the 10 enchanted of 3 different ores, I'd say go for diamonds in the obsidian sanctuary, because the diamond blocks (yes blocks not ores) give a base of 9 diamonds, (iirc it increases with mining fortune: 18, 27 ect) allowing for quickly getting the materials. For mithril mining, grey wool/(terracotta?) give 1 powder around every 1-3 blocks mined, All of the prismarine blocks give 1-2 powder per block, and light blue wool gives 3-4 per block. Glacite jewels are 0.5% chance (aka: 1/200) Redstone mining is best in the mines of divan.
Jungle Hearts don't come from the Crystal Nucleus directly. Technically, you can get them from the chests if you do the Jungle Temple the legit way. But you can also just powder mine in the Jungle to get them.
As someone who knows how IMS (Ironman Sweats) works, let me give some advice. IMS is not ironman only. Anyone can join it, and anyone can use LFP. Blue goblin eggs are not supposed to be posted in LFP though. If you have an ironman profile, you can verify that you have an ironman profile and join LFP plus, which has 3 more pings that you can use. These are blue goblin egg, flawless gemstone, and fairy grotto.

i think i read somewhere that you can drink water bottles while in the magma fields and it removes i think 40 heat from you. i havent tested it so if someone can lmk if its true or not
you can actually just craft and eitherwarp conduit at eman 7 without needing the RNG drop to combine it and it works the same way meaning you just have to get to eman 7 and technically dont have to grind for the RNG drop
On my regular account I got really lucky with divans getting it on my 5th nucleus. I then donated it to one of my friends who plays way too much because I had no intention of playing that much... well I now own a 120mil x3 drill I have titanium engine and fuel tanks... I'm not sure I regret my decision since I'm confident I'll get another one quickly with my luck. But now I've started ironman who nknows where it'll go

For gold mining you can insta break gold without blue cheese, you juste need over 8.3k mining speed and to swap between divan set and mineral after using mining speed boost Tell_Tale_Heart vid explain it well (Anyways great vid :>)
my account was ratted. i got back to full necron armor with maxed juju cata 30 in about 2 weeks. i felt it was 2 ez. i progressed fast af so now im doing ironman to slow me down a bit. it was def a gut shot
i might make a short or something detailing it, but put simply you need fishing 19 and a lava rod with basic enchants. then travel to the precursor remnants and try to find a lava pool there thats NOT in the magma fields (its rare). You can check where you are standing on the right of the screen, above your purse. then just fish in the lava, and kill the worms with a looting 4 or 5 weapon. fishing with others is good because you can all lootshare the worms

Basically it requires fine ruby gemstones, which you cant actually mine at that point because you dont have a strong enough tool. The fastest way to get around it, is to do nucleus runs to try get a either a pickonimbus, or enough fine rubies, since every nuc run drops fine gemstones. and im pretty sure gold mining exists, im doing it right now!
@shaneminer15 it can, but you need to do nucleus runs anyway on the profile so you might aswell start and try to skip the titanium pickaxe route. The pickonimbus is easy to get anyway, i got 2 from 1 run in the video
For powder mine... You do it in jungle only, you NEED sludge juice - 40k for all craft (true ironmans get everything in the game), and you forgot to mention you also use snail pet to get more hardstone And cold ressistence does NOT make your cold go up slower, it just increases cap at which point does cold start affecting mining speed
I finished sludge way before the hardstone + powder grind, and moved to precursor remnants which is where I mine hard stone now. Like i said in the video, think about what materials you need and mine in the corresponding area. If you need a load of sludge, then mine jungle only. and regarding cold resistance, it states on the wiki that "❄ Cold Resistance increases the time needed to gain 1 ❄ Cold", meaning your cold goes up slower depending on how much cold res you have, unless the wiki is wrong?

You said that there isnt a good way to mine coal, but some of the walls of the mines of divan are made of coal blocks that fortune does work on

thats an awful method, just do a jungle coal route for three hours and never touch it again

Ironman makes you experience every part of the game and your progression is heavily slowed down, which is why its so good
