All the forward-facing, public, exorcist Catholic priests and their lay teams plainly admit: scads and scads of homeless people disappear on Halloween being sacrificed to the devil.
Yes that's a good point. I like to see it as "reversion" since it's the One True Church established by Jesus, and the original Protestants are the ones who stepped away - reversion is people coming home after they've been away (for whatever reasons... part of a different religion or sect, or like me, I am a cradle Catholic but I was in apostasy for years --- now that I'm home I don't even comprehend why I left except for foolish prideful nonsense).
I think the Catechumen (sorry idk his name - sorry Catechumen) IS a very handsome guy and his wide set eyes give him great character 😅 I know you mean this in good fun but I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. Hope you both have a blessed day 🙏🏻
Actual witchcraft would be mortal sin, imitating Harry Potter for fun isn't. A lot depends on mindset and intention. 6:45 - No, even if they know we're right, they still don't admit.
That was wicked, 'Harry! 😂 (a good HP spell you could use would be Reducto... as you reduce their arguments to smithereens) Have a Blessed All Souls Day 🙏🏻
Mostly unrelated, but now and then I've pondered: How do you suppose the Church would operate in the world of Harry Potter? Would there be some sort of _parallel_ hierarchy of wizard clerics and prelates to minister exclusively to wizard laymen, in light of the Statute of Secrecy; or would wizards simply go to their local parishes as normal, but then seek out a wizard priest specifically whenever a magic-related moral issue arises? Obviously the Pope would need to be informed about the Wizarding World (if he wasn't already), but seeing as the Holy See would need to function as, in a manner of speaking, a kind of Wizarding government in its own right, how extensive would the Holy Father's wizard "support staff" need to be? Would there be a whole secret Congregation/Dicastery devoted to problems with wizards, magic, and magical creatures? Maybe I'm just a huge nerd, but I have fun with questions like this.
I think you need to explore this in a fanfic lol It's definitely interesting. Since the HP characters celebrate Christmas for sure that keeps the door open to a Christian interpretation in my mind. It's obviously all in imaginative fun and to show battle between good & evil with very nuanced characters & fun locations & scenarios. I don't know why HP has gotten the hatred it has from fundamentalists thru the years since it's essentially the grandchild of great earlier fantasies like Narnia & LOTR which are objectively Christian in their messages. I also love how the far Left turned on JKR now that she is an advocate for women. It's bonkers. I really appreciated this video and I think it's great fun to remind ourselves that as Catholics, we can take jokes and joke about ourselves or other silly things (ie Harry Potter) without getting too hung up on things from a Puritanical perspective.
HEY! Happy All Saints Day! Loved the video! You should definitely upload to the Catholic version of RUclips, SpiritusTV. We need more entertaining videos over there. :)
The most common Protestant view (like Lutherans and many others) is that Salvation cannot be cooperated with, and it doesn't actually make you holy. Rather they believe that it is extrinsic (decided regardless of you), and that you are only "legally" considered good because of what Christ did. Ergo, yes, most Protestants believe that Heaven is full of sinners.
.Honestly, I wish I could remember what interview of hers I saw when her books were first coming out. In the interview, she stated that she got the material from a Catholic Bible...
In your opinion, are there denominations within protestantism that are more susceptible to embracing Catholic dogma and eventually converting than others?
Thanks for the analysis! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
Ah, but if worship (weorþscipe) is giving a person or thing its due, and false gods, being false, are due nothing, so by giving them nothing, we are giving them their due, which is weorþscipe. Boom! Proof that, by not worshipping false gods, Catholics worship false gods. Checkmate.
@EmilyOReilly-pk9ii I figured the line "by not worshipping false gods, Catholics worship false gods" would have given it away, but I suppose it didn't: it was a joke. Not only was it a joke, but I'm Catholic, myself. However, to address what you said: yes, worship today does mean that, but historically, it had the meaning that I put forth, so yes, to give anyone any form of due honor is worship by that definition. You'll also notice that in order for my joke to work, I had to deliberately and artificially conflate the two meanings: the very punchline used both definitions and pretended they were interchangeable. That's one of the things that made my joke so absurd.
I wish we could say that, but the founders of Protestant Churches would say otherwise. The original Protestants called us Catholics satanists, anti-Christs, and spawns of hell. They encouraged war against the Holy Roman Empire, besieged Rome, destroyed countless historical artifacts and relics, and schism from each other for the sake of self formation.
@Zoroark_Unbound_aka_Bo_Sheep yes, the Reformation Day is the protestant Pride Day. A day to be remembered for the sin which is born out of pure pride: schism.

This biggest issue is that if a Church figure tells you that person who died is now in Heaven and you can now ask that person from help The big issue is that if that Church figure was wrong and now you have millions of people asking the dead for help.
If the Church can err on these things, (things that would endanger the faith and salvation of the person), then God does not lead Her. If the Church is not lead by God, we have a lot of other problems, espescially where IS the Church that God made exactly?
