    As teachers, we have to help them find their perfect 1st arabesque. Here are my tips.

    Was searching for that information! 🙏 Could not image how the hip should stay totally square when the leg goes up.

    Thank you, Mr. Du. Yes, a perfect 1st arabesque is difficult. I had teachers who preferred to see a straight line with less en dehors of the supporting leg. What do you think about this, Mr. Du?

    The title is misspelled. Otherwise, what you are saying about needing to not be square after a high height is true and often not said, leading to a less clarity about the phrase "keep your hips square."
