It always warms my heart to see another Pro Tools user who obviously genuinely likes the program as I myself do. May I give some sincere advise that I mean no offense by? That initial guitar is really nasty, it has some genuinely painful resonance, and I think you really need something like Oeksound Soothe or MTM Reso on that. You did make it sound better for sure though, but that sort of sound needs more precision IMO. What would also be really good when testing any EQ or dynamics, or distortion plugin is to show us the mixer more clearly and highlighting which track it is on, so we can more easily follow and make sure the A/B comparisons with the plugin on/off are level matched. The Auto Listen button will just automatically solo the eq band of the frequency selector you're currently adjusting. It doesn't affect the sound at all, just a tool to help sweep & dial in an exact frequency
