My Trip To Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Park 2022!

- I recently went on a trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park and have to say it was one of the most incredible wildlife experiences....EVER. Accompanied by my wife and my mom, we took a road trip and headed first towards Grand Teton National Park. We were on the lookout for the FAMOUS Grizzly Bear 399, perhaps the world's most famous bear. Will we find bear 399? Along our Grand Teton journey, we encounter other wildlife including moose, fox, beaver, and Trumpeter Swans. We then drive from Grand Teton National Park to the west entrance of Yellowstone. We arrived just a couple days after the west Yellowstone entrance opened in April. The Yellowstone animals we see include Grizzly Bears, wolves, coyote, fox, elk, bison, and pronghorn. The highlight of this Yellowstone trip was visiting Lamar Valley where we saw the Junction Butte Wolf Pack on a kill. We also witnessed an interaction between wolves and grizzly bears that seemed like something straight out of National Geographic! Super show! Back in 1930 or so my Dad and his little brother sold newspapers to the tourists at old faithful inn. Grandpa was a mechanic, kept the tourists cars moving. They camped all summer for 8 years till the boys had to go to Bozeman for high school. Dad just turned 98 and reminisces about those days a lot.

Yellowstone is my favorite place on earth. We stayed at the Old Faithful Inn and then a cabin in West Yellowstone. The topography and geysers are completely otherworldly. When I was there, they were beginning to discuss releasing wolves back into the park, finally.
Would love to go back there now.

I saw bison last year while traveling to northern Colorado. On the Greyhound bus, as it turned south from Wyoming into Colorado, I looked east out to the side and saw a small herd of bison! I was so surprised and happy. I think they were in the Grasslands National Reserve, which is in that area of Colorado & Nebraska.
It makes me very happy to see animals reinhabit places that they were previously hunted out of existence. Even in areas surrounding cities, coyotes and mountain lions and brown bears are thriving. I have seen photos of mountain lions strolling city blocks at 2 am in West Seattle, and nobody would have noticed without a CCTV.
I'm like you, Corbin, observe from a distance. Leave no trace.
I went there once but didn’t see nearly as many things as you did and I came all the way from Tennessee

I’m in Yellowstone right now too! I saw a lot of bison 🦬 and moose 🦌. I haven’t seen any bears 🐻 yet but I have seen alot of baby bison and moose!

A red fox 🦊 wild wolves 🐺 😱 you guys are so lucky. This is like my dream vacation 🫶🏻😀 I absolutely love wolves, seeing them this close is just beyond incredible. How are hunters allowed to kill them, they are too precious to kill. Oh goodness 20 killed. Do they not understand the wolf pack dynamics? That has last effects on the whole pack 😭

@@corbinmaxey yes it was so smelly and we brought our 2 little dogs one is 11 and the other is 5 both brothers and the younger one wouldn’t stop barking when we left them and we left them the one time they ate our cookies that my dads friends girlfriend had made for us
