Moe, I wanted to mourn with you now as a now former G8 owner myself. I had a 2008 White G8 with Black hood scoops. My interior was like yours, & it had the clear taillights, & wheels like yours. We got our G8 cars about the same time, I was the second owner, & did all the cosmetic upgrades myself. I was on my way home from work on 10/21/23. I wasn't speeding, & had a wild horse from the Indian reservation run out in front of me. The right front corner clipped the horse, which threw it on the hood. The passenger side window blew out, bent the A piller, caved in the windshield, & caved in the roof above the driver's seat. The horse partially came into the car. All of the air bags went off, & I had enough ablilty to steer the car to the shoulder before everything shut off. The final miliage was 100,095 miles. I was fine, & was able to get out of the car on my own, & had no broken bones. I had a piece of glass get stuck in the bridge of my nose about a 1/4 inch from my eye. Other than a few bumps, bruises, & abrasions I still have neck, back, & other pains, but i was back at work myself 12 hours later. I was able to walk away myself. The police, & paramedics said from the condition of the car I should not have survived. My G8 was a total loss also, it is now exactly 2 weeks later, & wanted to write to tell you how lucky we both were. Those cars were solid cars, & I am not finished owning another. Keep your head up high, & keep a eye out because my G8 found me years ago, & I wasn't looking for one at the time. This was my favorite car I have ever owned, but glad it helped me survive.👍

I know how Ur feeling man. back in 06 I flipped my focus 8 times at about 75 mph, I was completely untouched aside from a headache from my boot hitting me in the head. I got out and looked at my car and couldn't believe how I was able to get out without a scratch. I was angry, sad, scared, and really just angry. it happened so fast but in slow motion at the same time. glad Ur ok and remember it's just a car and I understand that a car or truck or whatever can mean so Muchmore to someone, but even with all the memories and bs u have been through with that car, things happen for a reason and that car could be replaced. That accident could have happened when and where it did to prevent something even worse from happening or like u said to open Ur eyes to a new perspective of life. keep Ur head up man and just move toward the new u.

I'm glad that you're ok. It sucks losing a vehicle that you've made such memories with. They become a part of your life and it can be just as heart wrenching seeing it go away like that. Like losing a family pet. Things will get better.

Never seen your videos before but had a similar situation with my scat pack when I was younger. Took me years to get another one but it was worth the wait. The most important thing is your alive even though we get attached to these cars you can get another one day. Maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but keep hustling it will come.
Life has a strange way of slowing you down a little. I’m only 27 so I have plenty time to get and build another.

Damn man, I’ve seen quite a few totaled g8 on the forums yours is def one of the worst, but they all walked away as much as people think older cars aren’t safe, g8 are very safe. The amount of air bags in the g8 is definitely what saved you. I’m glad it was just you in the car man. I know you already got another car but SS prices are dropping… Glad to see you made it out bro, I love my g8, it’s also black, and have been itching to get it out of winter storage.
