One of the best ideas, these are all terrifying villains, then one whips out a gun, which just adds a level of danger we recognize to amp it up.
Yea, I like how they amped up the danger in this season, because beforehand it seemed like this would be the typical shounen where nobody dies until maybe the end.

But still nobody dies though, at the very least in this season 2. Whatever the villain bring to the fight its still a shonen shows, that follows all shonen trope to the letter, though they do it beautifully. Dont delude yourself.

He would be incredibly difficult to deal with, however he is still weak against multiple enemies and metamorphic type quirks (which usually have pretty tough, potentially bulletproof skin)
BrewNCode Aizawa is like a better Batman. Give him a bit of time to prepare, and he could take down just about anyone. The only reason he isn’t totally unstoppable is because he has absolutely no way of knowing what his opponents are capable of ahead of time. Even so, if it weren’t for Nomu having multiple quirks, he probably would have taken down Shigaraki and Kurogiri at USJ.
Even Batman isn’t invincible even with prep time. He once prepared himself to fight Swamp-thing once and he had a lot of time to prepare with equipment and strategies planned out. And despite all of that Batman still got his ass kicked by Swamp-thing.

Not really. Some of them are bitter cause they think heroes shouldn't get paid (like Stain) or they just want to do bad things and the heroes are stopping them, like the muscle guy and the one that was holding the huge cement block. Only one (the gas guy) is bitter about not getting into hero school.
I think the mustard gas guy is more bitter about the exam being biased towards more flashy powers. At least from what what I could tell from the available info.

The other ones aren't too keen on being heroes but I kinda understand where the gas guy is coming from. Him, Shinzo (mind-controller from Season 2) and an upcoming character all suffered from the hero course exam even though they had great quirks that would be good against villains. It doesn't excuse them being villains but the exams should be more comprehensive.
The lizard villain Shuichi Iguchi lived through a hard life being stuck in a racist nation who are bigoted to people with mutation quirks that permanently change their bodies. He’s a stain fanboy because he saw him as someone willing to make change in a stagnant society even if Stains motivations are a bit different then his.

I loved it when that guy pulled out a gun. Something we are all familiar with and he would shoot kids without hesitation just makes it way more deadly than the other super quirks.

the best part is that he's totally aware of that fact.
He actually quiet the troubled person then he appears to be. We will see later in the manga, but to but it in a way, not every treats people with quirks the same way. Racism is still quite a thing in the My Hero earth and spinner went through the worst of it.

19:03 it wasn’t dark shadow that attacked shoji... Shoji clearly said what happened lol. They were attacked by that creepy dude with the swords and the villain cut off one of Shoji’s extra hands and that made Tokoyami/Dark Shadow mad and he lost control of Dark Shadow.
I get that it’s hard to catch everything in these reactions so I don’t fault them for missing that, but figured I’d clear it up anyway

Definitely have to disagree with Marketa, the villains aren’t just villains because they weren’t accepted into UA. They’re villains due to their own individual goals, whether it be wanted to kill to kill, follow Stains ideology, or in general feel outcasted by society. Also there’s other hero academies, it’s just that UA is a famous one.

For what it's worth, my favorite part of this episode was when Deku screamed "SHUT UP, DAMNIT!!" channeling his admiration for Bakugo for his relentless drive to succeed and overcome no matter what the cost is to himself. That's some good shit there.

Of the Villains in this arc Muscular and Moonfish easily have the most experience and are the most famous. They are both compared in the same vain as stain by a certain villain down the line

The reasons why there aren't more superhero schools are:
1.- If everyone is a hero, then what about the rest of the jobs needed for society to still work? Heroes are paid by the goverment.
2.- There are laws to prevent people from using their powers recklessly, teaching everyone to use them should avoid that, but it also would encourage everyone to use them whenever they want, and that would be a problem because then we would need some kind of superduper heroes to keep in line the others.
It's just like hand guy said, quirks are like guns, everyone is always carrying a loaded gun and could kill anyone in an instant. Hero schools train those kids on how to shoot those guns and actually point them towards other people, while normal schools only teach them to keep the guns down and to not shoot themselves or others by accident.

Deku vs Muscular was the only thing I thought could've been done better in these 2 ep, didn't really like how Deku was able to overpower him like that and put him out with one punch. You'd think Muscular's experience would help him but nah. Still love the episode tho
Just remembered that in the sub kacchan figures out it was deku who sent the message in the first line not the second because he is the only one that calls him kacchan not because the whole situation was annoying. Maybe I am just remembering the seen wrong though. Anyway that makes more sense

about marketa' comment, there are other schools, UA is just as the others said the most prestigious school regarding the "hero courses", there are still normal schools and universities, aswell as normal professions. i mean, it's not possible for 80% of the population to be heroes, there's a limited need for them.

Ok, some have said that class B is weaker then class A...this is proof of the contrary...Won't go in detail because spoilers, but as it was said in the pass, there are 4 student on recommendation...2 on A and 2 on B and the quirks have been divided equally between the results of the class, you see in episode 3 some of the results of the exam on the board and there are some class B on the top ! So the only difference is the experience of both classes...You will see, there are some crazy quirks in team B
