I do that same technique but use a 1/32oz roadrunner jig. Those blades spin even if you barely reel in. You’re right those sacs totally smack the bait. It’s addictive!
I went Saturday not very far from your old house. Caught 16 or 17 total. Lots of small ones. I kept 8. Biggest was 14” and just shy of 2 lbs. All of them were thick healthy fish. I went back Monday and that cold front had dropped the water almost a foot. Made it tough. Caught 5 and kept 3. All on jigs. A few tight lined, but mostly under a cork.
Hello Jeff that was a great video using the curly tail grub, way to go keep those videos comin that's why I watch ...to learn all that I can U can never get enough info thank u James H.
Just found your channel. I just started crappie fishing this year and my cousin is showing me the way. We caught about 80 a few days ago. The best fun I have had fishing in a long time.
First time watching your vids! One tip that he mentioned, you keep your tip down, when he keeps his up. I've had better luck keeping mine up. It keeps the bait above em, as they feed up, so that may help next time. Helps keep the bait infront of their face. And the speed is here and there depending on the day/weather. Some days they like it slow, sometimes they like it fast. But the Bobby Garland is a certified killer ! Jeff too 😂😂 I just started jigging last year and it's definitely fun getting that first big thump. It's definitely addicting! I fished slip corks my whole life, but it's something about jigging ! And I agree on the best eating fish !!! Loved the vid !
SAC-A-LAIT!!! I’ve been waiting for these! Thanks triple M. I went fishing Mardi Gras early morning, only caught 3, I couldn’t stay long. For tight-lining those small jigs I like to use the Trout SOS 4 lb mono, and Cajun Lures weed guard, it can be put on any jig head, both make a huge difference. Good luck out here!
The jig itself will get ya bit. I love how crappie can eat at the dead of night, Murky water just under the ice. Everywhere! ::)) 4 lb test and a small under spin is a good one in murky water will boost the bass too. Especially if your going to just cast and reel and not jig and twitch at all 😜😉 your mimicking a minnow with that small curly tail make it look the part ✊🍻🔥What a great video! Awesome sights !!
Let me have Jeff for a week. I needa know more about crappie bc my grandpa used to be good at it but he forgot how bc he’s getting to the age that he can’t hop in his bass boat anymore. 🥺
Guess ya needs to thank de Sac Master,Jeff Bruhl, just saying!!!Love using those Crappie Nibbles and they always seem to work.Met gent few seasons ago using Panoptix and he was a-slaying huge piles of slabs, like having underwater camera on board!!Only gonna get mo betta!!
"On the drop!" - that's the hit I'm looking for - my #1 bait is the - Berkley 1" pink shad - on a jig - or - on a #6 snelled trout-style hook. Put some "stink" on it to create a "sure-bight" fishin' lure - then - "catchemup", folks! 🎣🎣🎣 -
Not the first time I've been schooled, and certainly won't be the last. I get to fish with a lot of really good anglers. The whole time I thought I was fishing too fast, so I kept slowing down. Actually, though, I was fishing too slow. When I picked up the pace, I rallied.
Karl, next time I fish dat T-Funky will take a pic of advisory posted at Jancke Launch.Believe they suggest no more than one meal per month of certain species, not sure hw accurate that advisory is and Bayou Lacombe likewise harbors plenty slabs!
U can’t keep the fish off of a Bobby Garland jig. Fish love them, catfish, bream, bass and especially crappie. I like any of the shad colors. I love em. We catch 2 lb to 2 1/2 lb and bigger on average here where I live in sw Arkansas. Stick with those Bobby Garland and you’ll have a happy sore arm. Enjoyed the video
@Marsh Man Masson come down here to Grenada, Mississippi. Fish at Grenada lake. Their some big ones. My paw paws friend has a crappie mounted on his wall what is long as a squirrel. 😭 I got proof. I can send u my number and send it to you. People go to crappie tournaments down their top.

Sac-a-perch just might be my fav to catch! Busted them so many times in my LSU days at Verret before Katrina. Always a blast! Awesome trip fellas!
Yo! Me and the boys saw you today on the foat boat.Such a nice guy and loves his fans! Caught 7 today off the technique!
Great bumping into y'all! It was a perfect day on the water

I meant to say that when I cleaned those 8 fish, I had 4 female and 4 male. All the larger fish were the males.
Thanks for the report. Those sac-a-lait/crappie/white perch are irresistible

Anyone else see the fish jump out of the water behind the boat at 3:40in the video??😂😂
Would be cool to see a video about his Gator Trax boat.

Enjoyed the video, good job guys.
Jeff different asf😂😂😂. He really like that !
Great time on the water. Best eating fish IMHO. Thanks for sharing.
Best fried fish no doubt. I love me some grilled redfish tho
The trees that start the red looking buds as early as February are silver maples. Red maples may do the same thing.

Good humble pie 🥧 Todd thanks 😊
Crappie fishing is so much fun especially when they're on fire and spawning. Best thing ever
Most delicious fish too in my opinion
Love the crappie spawn. It won’t be long. I fish the same way 1/32 ounce jig with an electric chicken grub
NICE WORK
Bro, Jeff must be a mermaid. 💀 bc he’s out their absolutely destroying their bed. 😭🤚🏽💗
Looks like Madisonville water use to limit on bass then go to rice field for sacs. Ha friend that lived on Tchefuncta river
nice video. if anyone was going to get that technique figured out it was going to be you. enjoyed watching.
Crappie Nibbles are the boom. I use and catch lots of those tasty fish
I haven't been out on that river in a long time. It should be about to get amazing there.
It's finna bust loose
@@MarshManMasson 😁😁😁😁😁
How long of a rod were you running?

U fish Bedico creek?
Where do you launch the boat?
Lol just like they said. Your grandpa and dads can teach u everything about fishing. 😉
Do you know what model Gator Trax he has?

You got to go back to school today and you got schooled...Jeff is good

How safe is it to eat fish out of that water and any guide lines for that particular river ??

The heck was that by Jeff’s elbow at 3:40?
a seat
Look like a mullet jumping.

What body of water
where is this?
Love tight lining with hair jigs
This the story of my life, when i smack all the fish and my friend just wacth me
Nothing beats seeing that bobber disappear
Except feeling them tag that micro-jig
The only way I fish for crappie. Bobbers are for people who have nothing but time
You should let them do there thing. Instead of pulling them off there beds are making beds.
Trout are good but they got that salt water funk to em. I love trout but if I had to pick between trout or sac a lait. Ima take sac a lait all day.
Stop reeling like you’re bass fishing man 😂
slow
You was bass fishing, lol you got to angle your rod and reel steady...lol
