By far, old souls write the most spiritual, most meaningful music. Both Emily and Amy have this gift from their Creator... and they most beautifully share it with us.
sometimes love feels like this.... the coffee cup imagery is special....in search of our best selves.....very melodic with wonderful counter point on guitar....this one should be their biggest seller..... of course most people run from facing the truth,,,,, or they haven't been fortunate enough to have this type of experience....it tugs at my heart strings....
This is one of my favorite songs, because it literally happened to me. I had a friendship in which we went through *a lot* of shit, mostly my fault, and she walked away..... one of the saddest days of my life. Then, my partner played this song for me and it has beaten in my chest for years. The best part of the story is that the friend and I eventually worked it out, one of the happiest days. Resurrection happens in the middle of the mess.
The Indigo Girls are a national treasure......The magnificence keeps coming decade after decade.....never, EVER, diminished. Not a bad time to be alive!
Just saw them with Joan Baez and Mary Chapin Carpenter in The Four Voices Tour. Last night, 6/17/17. They are getting BETTER !! If that was even possible.
i've been a fan of the Indigo Girls ever since they released their self-titled album with "Closer to Fine" in the late 80s. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers are two rock solid good people, whose songs of love, peace, and kindness should be required listening for everyone.
I've never heard this one b 4. My Soulmate, Bear, and I have been 2gether for 30years! This old Lady just got some chills...of the good kind! TY 4 posting
The overall quality of IG is greater than the sum of its parts. No one should underestimate Amy's contribution, and incredible stage presence. With that in mind, Emily should be considered one of the best song writers of the decade. In the spirit of Joni Mitchell, her lyrics are just beautiful.
"Still believe in spite our differences that what we have's enough 'Cause I believe in you and I believe in love..." Wish you knew what you meant to me

One Life, One World & One Love🌍
It's Japanese. She said it's a beautiful melody, beautiful chorus. Nice minimal sound. And she likes this duo =P
I still believe in love
I wish I could give this comment more than one thumb up!
I don't remember being alive and not knowing who they are. Sometimes parents give gifts without knowing.
Some of their songs give me a slight BUZZ at certain points.

@execdyke91 They are together, in spirit and soul, not in a physical sense.
