  • The Browning B25 needs no introduction. These handmade Belgian shotguns are highly regarded the world over for their sublime handling characteristics. Considered the original O/U (referred to as the superposed) the B25 has a huge following and for very good reason. In this video Matthew Morgan takes an in depth look at a very special and surprisingly modern small gauge B25. A truly stunning and very capable 20 gauge in beautiful condition.

    I shoot a B25 Evolution II at Olympic Trap. Beautifully hand made and balanced. You are spot on with your comments, but forgot to mention the B25's absolute reliability in competition, unlike some of the more "modern" competitive shotguns.

      Thank you for your comment. There is no doubt that the B25 is a hugely reliable shotgun. Sadly they are rarely seen on the competitive circuit these days though. Kind regards, Matthew

    Lovely little gun. I’m sort of happy that B25s are under appreciated in the UK nowadays. It means I can pick them up for way less than what they’re worth. I currently have 6, including a B1 two barrelled set with solid ribs , my go to game gun. Nothing shoots like a B25. They come alive in your hands❤

      Thank you for your comment. I agree completely but I am confident that the B25 market will return at some point when people are more educated about these fine guns. Kind regards, Matthew

    Excellent Matt. It's an absolute pleasure to watch your reviews and very impressed with the B25 Special 2010. I have a very similar B1 Game, chrome lined 30" barrels with a well figured stock.

    The difference between1970s/80s B25's and todays' Japanese Brownings/Miruk's is that B25's have a soul, especially if built with a roach bellied stock - the most beautiful sock shape ever!

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your comment. I fully agree that B25's feel alive although sadly short barrelled and certainly roach belly stock B25's are no longer popular here in the UK. Hope you enjoyed the video. Kind regards, Matthew

    The original Browning is a proper shotgun. The D1, C1 and B7 are my favourites. The Japanese Brownings is not on the same level.

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment. This gun is Belgian manufactured not Japanese. In the UK there are very few C1 and D1 models and the B7 was never that popular. All great guns though.Kind regards, Matthew

      @@eastfieldgunroom I know that its Belgian. I have been fortunate enough to visit the workshop 20 years ago. Personally I'm not much for animal scenes engraving and my fours b25 are with scroll or floral engraving. This Special 2010 is gobsmacking I have to admit. JP Bailey a very good engraver.

      @eastfieldgunroom  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment. It is interesting that gamescenes on shotguns in general are not as popular as scroll engraving outside of the UK. Hopefully I can review many more B25 models in the future as they are great guns. Kind regards, Matthew

    I have nothing against this gun, but the fact that in "your opinion" been so bulky and heavy in it's action gives less recoil then the thin Beretta.. IT'S NOT TRUE, as the idea of the Beretta's design is on purpose to diminishing recoil, as the Beretta having a thing action, the barrels are more in line with the stock, and also the closing mechanism of the intelligent design, is more then secure a safe and durable closing of the barrels to the skull, without over engineering . The same applies for the general engineering over the Germans product, over deign , with complications, and and they still give tons of problems , and the genuine simple Italian cooking, the best over in the world!!!!... Thank you..!!

    So many of these guns were made that the dying WWII generation have had a dump on the second hand market when they died. Their offspring do not hunt and do not shoot.
