Wow! That is definitely an instant winner for Miroku fans. The silver inlays on these designs need to be seen in person as they do not show up very well on video. They are striking and very classic. Thanks for another great video!
Oh and one more thing - those barrel weights - once happy with them in terms of balance and position - thread-lock them with something mild. If under fore-end and they work loose where you can't see them they can cosmetically damage barrel and fore-end finish if they work loose. It happened my best friend...
Great to see a Miroku that is almost balanced.... Daughter (18) shoots a Mk70, 30 inch barrels and invector choked. I had to put 10oz of lead into the stock bolt hole to get it balancing on the hinge pin.
@AdamsClayPigeonGuide kept it back to the pad end, stuffed the bolt hole with kitchen towel first. 1 oz fishing weight's. Might change it by melting some lead, as then less would do as you could keep it even closer to the pad.
@eastfieldgunroom She is a slight girl, and in a 50 bird shoot her left arm would be aching. Tried it last Sunday with the stock weighted, and be it fluke or skill, she shot a personal best 42.
Such a great gun! It would be a joy to own. Very nice review as always. I do wish they would start making these, the MK70´s and the Brownings with a bigger, more pronounced pistol grip.
@@eastfieldgunroom I know, it is the guns sharing the 525 platform i´m referring to, they could do with a more "competition minded " stock, like the one on the 725 ProSport 👍 A year ago you were presenting the MK38 Trap LE on the PG channel. Time flies 😄
I will try this again no idea what happened to my first comment, you have done it this time Matthew, as you know I missed the chance of owning a grade three when you sold me my grade 1, but boy this competition mk38 is next level, love it
Lovely gun! They should make it mainstream as arguably it has more of what the modern market wants than the standard version. Miroku need a competition gun in their UK range not just sporters
This was very good timing, i was only looking at this very gun on your website this morning!! This would fit the bill perfectly for me, i just need to convince the wife that i NEED it oh and the 4 grand that goes with it!! Hopefully one will still be available by the time i persuade her 😊
That looks a really good buy Matt. A proper can do anything, future proofed gun with looks to match. I know aesthetics are a personal thing but, the all silver action engraving and trigger appeals to me personally more than the gold, but just an opinion. If only it had interchangeable recoil pad and spacer capacity, it would be the complete package. Thanks for the review. On a different note, will you be reviewing the Browning 825 anytime in the near future?
Thank you for your comment, I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. Regarding the Browning 825 I will certainly be having a look at one. Kind regards, Matthew
Nice, smells a bit browning though- likely due to Browning running the show, i'd love for Miroku to make the 38 in same spec as an mk10, you add weight system onto an mk10 sporter and adjustable and that is a very hard to beat combo
Thank you for your comment. Personally I think it will be a similar story as to how it compares to the 725 range of guns. From what I can see there are no changes in the platform of the action in the new 825. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. The comb height is not particularly low, more that I need a high comb. Plenty of adjustment on this Browning/Miroku system. Kind regards, Matthew
The only thing I didn’t like was the lighter colour to the side of the action. Couldn’t help but think bird droppings. Having said that I could live with it. Thanks Matt for another fantastic review.
@@eastfieldgunroom understand that as prices change. But an approx launch price at time of review is always helpful to know if they’re in people’s range. No point watching a 17 min review if it’s double someone’s budget etc.
Thank you for your comment, I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. My thoughts on the choke box would be a) they bought millions and b) by supplying Brownings with plastic choke boxes they are trying to maintain the divide in brand politics and snobbery. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment but I believe you are referring to last years model which has neither the silver inlay, ventilated barrels, wood upgrade or balancing system. Kind regards, Matthew
One would think Miroku could market the same in the US, but, unfortunately, our market is driven by the "tacti-cool", wannabe guerilla mindset of today's youth.
Thank you for your comment. It always amazes me the difference in specification between different countries. I have sent a number of Mirokus to the US over the years because they simply aren't available. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. I think that the only similarity between the two engraving styles is that there is deeper engraving (focus point) in the middle surrounded by finer scroll work. Lets not forget that both guns are made by Miroku. Kind regards, Matthew

I had to put 10oz of lead into the stock bolt hole to get it balancing on the hinge pin.
Did you put it all the way down the stock hole to the bolt or pack it to only put weights near the pad?
@AdamsClayPigeonGuide kept it back to the pad end, stuffed the bolt hole with kitchen towel first. 1 oz fishing weight's.
Might change it by melting some lead, as then less would do as you could keep it even closer to the pad.
Thank you for your comment. That is crazy but not surprising. The MK70 in particular is a very barrel heavy model. Kind regards, Matthew
@eastfieldgunroom She is a slight girl, and in a 50 bird shoot her left arm would be aching.

The gun comes with Grade 5/6 American walnut and it is a Pachymar recoil pad.
Another great review Matt - interesting model with all the bells and whistles.
Thank you for your comment, I am pleased that you enjoyed the review. Lots to play with on this one. Kind regards Matthew
Great reviews. All of them. Great source of info. A follower from Argentina. Congrats. Hay off

Matt my type of gun thanks from Ireland

Great looking gun, it has two big plusses no porting and the forearm much sleeker.
Thank you for your comment. Agreed they seemed to have got this one smack on in terms of specification. Kind regards, Matthew

Nice, would like to see how it will compare to the new Browning 825? Just saw the 825 Browning on RUclips.

Nice gun, would make a cracking high pheasant gun.
Thank you for your comment. I completely agree, the weight and balance makes it a very steady gun for tall birds. Kind regards, Matthew

Great revive 👍

No price mentioned at time of review or did I just miss it?
Think they are 3.5k

Very very nice. Maybe they'll do one without all that scribbling on the metal work?
I'm not a clay shooter but that's a nice looking gun 👍
Thank you for your comment. Agree totally very aesthetically pleasing this one. Kind regards, Matthew
That looks very impressive, shame they will be in such limited numbers. Shame only those in the know will get hold of them .
Thank you for your email. It is indeed very impressive and something that will appeal to a great deal of shooters. Kind regards, Matthew
Sorry if I missed
Any idea on price please

Great video for a great gun.......but please a naff cardboard box for chokes etc ! Really! What a letdown

TSC did this months ago sorry Matt.
Maybe.... but this guy makes sense
are you sure !! but then very few people would have seen it🤣🤣
TSC, that’s the guy who does a Clarkson impression.
Thank you for your comment but I believe you are referring to last years model which has neither the silver inlay, ventilated barrels, wood upgrade or balancing system. Kind regards, Matthew
Tsc will do a review that goes something like this- florent saying generally 600 times and zero actual gun knowledge
One would think Miroku could market the same in the US, but, unfortunately, our market is driven by the "tacti-cool", wannabe guerilla mindset of today's youth.
Say thanks to the infamous Jeff Cooper. He destroyed the tradition of shooting in the USA.
Thank you for your comment. It always amazes me the difference in specification between different countries. I have sent a number of Mirokus to the US over the years because they simply aren't available. Kind regards, Matthew
That engraving looks a like the Browning 525 Liberty 🧐
