Shelly-Ann has hips that sit further back in her anatomy which allow her the ability to have a better start/drive phase. You do not have the same anatomy but main thing to improve your start/drive phase will be landing position to spend the least amount of time on the ground as possible..
Hi Morey,great advice I have notice due to focus training on plyometric foot contact training significant reduction in time taking a athlete from 5.4 flying 50s to 5.22. This athlete is only 5 ft 1
Stop assuming you have to be tall to run fast. Sprinting is about form, body mastery & extreme power when your feet & legs are driving into the ground. As he said it's about driving forces! Oh and be as relaxed as possible.

He never said Usain was 5'10" in height, he said when Usain comes out of the blocks he's around 5'10" crunched over coming out of the blocks. Someone needs to smack you in the head with starting block to wake you up to pay attention to what others say. Homeboy is very clear when he speaks. So wtf are you talking about dude‽
