Is WINTER travel in ICELAND DANGEROUS?

- Is it a bad Idea to travel to Iceland in the winter? Well, it depends a lot on the tourist and their expectation. If you are open minded and ready to adjust your plan if the weather is bad, it can be a wonderful experience. We have Northern Lights, Ice Caves, Glaciers, beautiful Winter Landscape... all that good stuff, but there is no guarantee you will get any of that. Some people only get storms and road closures, and this is where things start to go bad... because not everyone are ready to accept missing out on everything and this is when people start taking chances... which is usually a bad Idea.

I completely agree.
Cool video! BR from Iceland
Thank you for your video highlighting some of the issues when travelling in Winter. For the manny reasons you mentioned I have booked a 2 week tour in Mid Feb 2025 with Iceland Photo Tours. Coming from Australia and not ever traveled in snow, I’m relying on the tour guide.
I love your Viking fervour when you're telling us all off! But, I can see where you are coming from. DO NOT allow ego to put search & rescuers lives in danger .
Well… sometimes is good to speak clearly about important things 😊
Hello mate great video very informative. I did a lot of research re driving & weather conditions before deciding when to come to Iceland. Originally, it was March/April but have settled on September/October. I think it's a better decision driving & weather wise. Cheers from Melbourne, Australia.
Glad it helped... thank you for your comment :-)
