MK is a generational talent, plain and simple. He's the whole package and an elite musician.
SRV would have loved this cat
Not gonna lie. LOVE hearing Marcus on a strat!
Young man got a old soul.
Blows me away...^5 Marcus King.♪
Marcus king is Awesome 🙏
This guy has talent plain and simple
Talent is a myth, I bet he practiced like everybody else ; )
@@DerEchteBold Talent is an obsession you create art because you have to he said himself there was no thought of doing anything else.

I don't think that's how a majority of people would define talent.
Marcus...that was superb. May you continue to post your awesome music. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to you play. Nice bass player too.
Hubby just turned me onto this. YOU ARE AMAZING.
Not to take away from his guitar playing ... but that voice! Amazing!
Stratiest thing I've heard in a while.
Every element is perfect. You can't just single out Susan's flawless vocal when the background vocals are so spot on. And the brass and percussion.... Greatness!!
😂
Blues....alive and well with Marcus. Fine fine guitar player AND vocalist.
Awesome blues feeling!
He’s amazing
Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Young Marcus is incredible
King is a great guitar player / singer
Great vid..wish I could hear the bass a little better but I’m not complaining
Headphones you can hear the bass well
Your ears are off bro. I hear it just fine.
Sure sounds like you are 😂
How have i not found this one before I've seen the other's with his Bass Player and the ones with Billy, but not this one of my favorite blues songs.
That’s the best sounding strat I’ve ever heard 🎸
That's the player and the amp, not the guitar. A strat sounds like a strat
whoever downvoted....may your g string never be in tune
NYC LP Player I hope you meant the g string not on the guitar...
This comment is everything!
never is anyway , or is that the b string?
Just give them a Les Paul
I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy
19 people disliked this video???? Come on! you were either deaf or drunk (and hit the wrong icon)
Thanks CVG and MK for this blowing mind version
Definitely motivating
Killer 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💪🏼
Have you seen our latest session with The Marcus King Band? ruclips.net/p/PL2WI4mMDDI__XfT3HXNngOe8lybXpYF7b
I wish I sounded like him. 🤘😝🤘
Likewise, brother!
You are always so good with guitar...
1:14 mark and beyond, wow!
Certainly not your typical youtube garbage, someone with actual soul, and no shredding anywhere to be heard! Thank the lord!
This is AMAZING!!! Really just a little compression and reverb on the vocals....and a little more close mic on the guitar and this could have had the potential to be one of the best recorded versions of killing floor to date.
It's pretty badass for just being the raw recording it is. Marcus has a crazy amount of talent.
Perfection is a thief of joy. Enjoy it for what it is. Don't critique a burger that's a 9/10, just enjoy the moment.
Wow!!!!!!
Shewweee
Fire guys
Man...This Marcus King Cat...he’s a vintage hybrid....A cross between Terry Kath and Duane Allman...I need to catch up with this dude and check him out live...
Anthony Festa Shades of Tab Benoit as well...
He was influenced by Early Chicago the Terry Kath Era and The Allman Bros. Yes I can here theTab influence as well
Anthony Festa saw him live on a blues festival in Holland last week, and he totally blew everyone off their feet. Next record will be out in september and i will see him in amsterdam in october. Can’t wait. Enjoy exploring!
Right on! Going to check him out this summer in Asheville N Carolina USA
Killer!
Have mercy. And good grief.
Wow this is the real deal.
sick
Hot dang
I could listen to this shit all night! Don’t mind if I do
Anyone notice the ghost guitar to the left of Marcus?
Haha looks clear!
It’s Wonder Woman’s
Now I see it. WTF is that?
@@jeffwilliams8074 remember the acrylic solid body, made by ampeg I think that Keith Richards had in the early 70s? maybe this is an acoustic version. they make acoustics out of carbon fiber such now, why not plexiglass??
@@russhowison4215 Guess you are right. I never liked them. Love beautiful, unique wood. Still waiting for an Olson.
damn that Vibrolux is singing!!!
I think I like this kid better than all the greats. Real. Raw.
WOW!
BLUES!
Marcus Luther King
love this video! is that a Mary Kay strat m
Amazing performance!! What that mic?
The vocal mic is a Ear Trumpet Labs Edwina and the amp mic is a Cascade Fat Head. We are also using a room mic on a Zoom H6.
Carter Vintage Guitars Thank you a lot! Decent setup
Those curly chords can sure give up the goods. :)
CVG -:Is that an actual 1957 stratocaster or a 1957 reissue?
fonduemonkey at Carters ? More than likely original. Super shape !!
Sounds like shake for me by SRV
Marcus, great playing.....next time you do this sorta stuff, make sure that Steven is in the mix.
He isn't recording it he came probably hear the bass just fine were he is setting.
I don't remember this song in killing floor??
The people who downvoted had good headphones and could hear the bass playing too fast
😳😳😳😳😳
Is someone see SRV ? Great player. 👍
People downvoted this?!
anyone know which album hendrix covered this on?
can't find his studio version anywhere!
There is no studio version, his most notable cover of this song is on the live at Monterey pop album
No bass sound?
😇🙏💜🌈💥💪👍
One of the best recordings of the songs I've ever heard ... that is one horrendous hat doe
He looks awful in every hat I've seen him wear. But he can play and he can sing, so to hell with the hats!
Cannot hear the bass
Nothing he can’t play
Good jam but the bassy slightly high
What's not to like about this...???
White guy blues. Passionate. 😂
Marty White It's hard time for a white man nowadays)
idk y i lol at this 🤣
Not going to lie, he's not half bad.
Yep, bass. I mean yeah...duh..obviously the spotlight, and the whole point of the video is Marcus. But everyone knows a good accompanist in many situations can be the frosting on the cake. The bass player is rocking it here, but can't hear him... so no frosting for you! Thumbs up for the video generally and for Marcus, but thumbs down for whoever set up the audio that day. Boo.
They're out of time and the mix is absolutely terrible
what the fuck are u on about ?? they sound GREAT
Mitch Girard get out of here you jealous swine!
the tunes are great but he's right. the mix is not good at all, bass is inaudible.
Can't you hear pure soul when you hear it? Still, each to their own--interesting different perceptions when listing to the same music--no offence meant!
Out of time?!?! Your ears must be out of time..... You really need to have them checked, Mitch
Bass guitars are often difficult to hear (amongst drums, vocals and lead guitar) when plugged into an amp.
Here.... just pointless.
BOOOOOO
