comfort in the winter snow

2021 winter in Iowa was my last winter there before I graduate. Living alone without a room mate has taught me a lot of things. It has taught me to be independent and be okay with myself.
Winter 2021 was harsh. The school shut down, the transportation was halted but there is a different kind of subtleness during winter storm. How the layers of snow rests on the tile roof, the smoke coming out of chimney, the partly frosted window panes, the soft icy backyard and the silent environment.
