Out the back of nowhere, just next to nothing. Really fascinating. Thanks for posting!
Enjoying your channel, Makes you realize how TEMPORARY life is !! all the effort used to create this little town was for nothing in the end...sad.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you’re enjoying it. I have been flat out last few months at a mining job so haven’t had time to get away filming but will start again soon hopefully. 👍🏻
You're right, that stonework is amazing.
Might be hope still for the old girl under the canopy. Would be great to see her restored!👍👍🇺🇸
Austin A40?
Another relic of the past that was once a great spot in the travels of everyone that once stopped i remember places like that from the 70s an 80s when i was a kid on family holidays an they guy that owned it used to fill your tank an have chat about where your going or come from looking at that yellow it may have been a golden fleece . Thanks for the video an cheers from n.s.w
If only times were still that simple and pleasant. Thanks for watching
The words of Slims song, Looking Forward Looking Back are 100% spot on.
0:15 .. 1950 Austin A40 Devon Saloon :)
I love searching through places like that and highly likely I would find some treasure if only to myself.
Places like that are a metal artists dream.
Definitely
A privelege to look at , but not touch.
Love going exploring in old towns and houses. I never touch . Just look and imagine what it was like when full of people. Just stumbled across this channel. I’m subscribing. Love it
Glad you enjoy my videos, I also love exploring the old Australia that I grew up with. If only the buildings could talk…..
Me too. I never touch/take anything.
@@philipgibbs5751 except it if was gold left behind .lol
Another awesome video and production, I was going to put a offer in to buy it all, but when we seen there was no diving board on the pool, that was the deal breaker 🤫🤣😂🤣 enjoyed full watch cheers KC Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺
looking forward to seeing more cheers 🍻🍺🍻🍺🍻🍺
Was there some years ago. Met a guy that had bought it, lovely fella, gave us some old railway ties. Love W.A
Awesome, such a shame to see it how it is now.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide agree. tough going living out there in such isolation though. Can't imagine I'd last too long in the one spot like that
That was quite a set up at one point
I suspect a road was diverted and then no passing traffic and that was the end of it 👍👍👍
Yes it must’ve been a thriving business at some point in time, there used to be a rail siding there but that’s gone, most farms have been bought and merged with others so the area outgrew the need for a shop I assume and then it went down hill from there. Still very saveable with time effort and money though..
Once upon a time that was someone's home, which I can see has had a lot of love put into it
Definitely has had some care and love in its time.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide You think the last owners will sell the boats, car parts and unbolted things to make extra money before they vacated the place for good.
Some people just don’t care for things, going on the amount of rubbish left there I’d say they didn’t care for much at all..
@@amuxpatch2798 Probably the kids moved away to the cities and the folks that remained stayed until they either died or were too old to manage the place anymore, shifting all that stuff costs money and if this place is far away from civilisation trying to do so wouldn't be worth the effort.
@@forgivemenot1 True but the boats would have been worth selling.
I've NEVER seen a Troopy on stilts like yours before !!!😲
Ha ha yeah it makes the 35’s look small under it . ✌🏻
The old record player was branded 'Mananah', l thought "Yeah it looks like something 'My nana' would have had." Thanks for another great video Troopy.👍
Ha ha yep, glad you enjoyed it.
Wow that’s sooo cool I love it mate
New to your channel ,so awesome seeing the old left behind cars and ruins .thanks for sharing .👍👍
Glad you’re enjoying the vids. Thanks for watching
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide yep ❤👍
The shop is likely to have been also a shell service station. It seems the sign displayed the word Shell" on it which is somewhat still visible.
Mate that scrap pile with the rail spikes got my attention , Can make some amazing things with them in my forge . 😯🌋⚒
It’s amazing what’s left around, now a forge is definitely something nice to own and know how to utilise it properly.
LOVE YA CONTENT COBBER
Thanks,
Thanks, enjoyed seeing the old town,
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
For all those that are wondering of the name of this location, it’s called Gutha just next to the railway siding for wheat.
Thank you. Knew.of some ppl that lived just south of there.
Thank you old mate. )
Near where?
@@philipgibbs5751
North and slightly east of Morawa.
@@desmahebiton4534
Thanks.
Sad to see Gutha finally completely abandoned. There was still someone living out there a few years back. Just realised that I had some footage but never made a video about this place - will have to rectify that.
Yes it’s definitely a shame, there was someone living there up until the cyclone came through and caused havoc a few years back. We lost power for a month or more further up Gutha east road. It’s saddening when small towns die..
Thanks for a great video.
Glad you enjoyed it.
That was mint
New sub here - So happy RUclips’s algorithms served your channel up for me. I subscribed just for your channel name Mr Troopy - fellow WA peep. What a shame they didn’t continue to live there, would’ve been so peaceful and there’s obviously a lake to play on. I was automatically brushing the flys away 🤣 bzzzzt.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy the vids. It is a wonderful area for sure and I just love wa, especially remote wa. I hope you enjoy my other content.
Thanks Bloke
What are you playing sound nice. ))) give details old mate. That place feel like a home to me with some work. Ps don't miss the fly )))) hehe. Nice video lots of history there. Still good condition. Love out back. ) thank you. ))
I'm sorry you no understand my message. And hot and no time. And no internet. This i understand. Take care old mate
For me wa aussie drill rig been many places you have. Still makes me feel like home ...... now nsw wollongong. I miss the country the community i live and worked at. Some beautiful times. ) not for everyone
. Hot fly and no one around. No phone . Miss wa )
G’day mate, glad your enjoying the videos. This place is at gutha , north of morowa in the wa wheat belt.
Well done awesome work, new subscriber here
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it and I hope you like my other videos.
The motorbike engine looks like from a late 70's early 80's Suzuki 250 dirt bike.
Thanks for that info , hope you enjoyed the vid
You would be surprised how modern that is. 80's at least.
The main shop building goes back 100 years, the house was still being lived in only two years ago until the cyclone went through the area.
Looks like a nice place to rescue & be off grid ha ha! Awesome video man & your making me miss working out bush & seeing old places like that, except the flies.. They suck.
Definitely, great bones for a cool place. The flies definitely suck…. Glad you enjoyed it.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide Bloody oath, Cheers
Harvester look’s like an old sunshine.
Great Video .. with all the boats .. how far away are the lakes or water form town ?
About an hour and forty five mins from the west coast .
Been to some great Gutha Grooves back in the eighties
Awesome, the hall still gets used occasionally.
that would be a ripper place to own and live in
Certainly would.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide Does it have water pipes connected or it needed a water tank truck to refill the workplace everyweek.
Hey Bloke in a Troopy, great vid. mate, thanks very much. Just wondering... what music did you add to the tail-end of the video please? REAL catchy tune. Thanks - Peter V.
Any ideas on the tune Bloke? I'm hoping it's one of those free ones you don't need to worry about copyright. Would like to use it in a vid. I'm doing. Thanks - Peter V.
Dreams of Hope in days past, now lay relics of Dreams Shattered by failed Aspirations of the Future.
Great video, even better if you said the place you were at.it seem everyone put place on u tube no one tell we’re they are .
Gutha , western Australian wheat belt.
Very interesting, thanks for the share on this! Don't like the boot mic😯..🍻
Bit disappointed we didn’t get to see inside the old house, but sad to see it all abandoned and left to rot.
I think there might be a part two next time I’m over that way…
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide that sounds perfect, I will keep an eye out
G,day mate , its a real thrill to see this video , gives me a strong sense of lonelyness other than the sound of crows , birds and bloody flys did the gas bottles still have gas in them curious, yea the gate fence in stone looked shit hot , was there water in the tanks
What a spot to stop over an adventure round for days , whats the place called and location
Yeah it’s quite a good spot to explore, it’s an old rail siding named “Gutha” north west of morowa wa. Just up a bit there are rail silos still in use.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide thanks mate keep up the great videos showing most of us sites we many never get to see our selves , your camera works is great but from a screen is much different to feeling the warmth and swatting the flys away are you still in this area or moved on now , i reackon i could hang about there and do my part and clean up all the shit into relative piles and find a broom to clean out buildings , connect roof gutters to tanks etc , glad to see not much irritating graffiti, cheers mate have a beer for me , wish i was out there crusing round with you

Hey. Me to. I was mentally sorting stuff out and making a bonfire of rubbish while I was watching. I reckon that I could live there. I would be that "strange old hermit guy".
Towns Die just like people Shame I love old Towns breaks my Heart seeing all, this relic oh dear 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍👍🦘🦘🦘🦘🍺🍺
Yes it’s sad how it happens
Something you don’t often see for us in the capitals.
Happy to be bringing this kind of content for all to see, glad you enjoyed it.
Went through here in 2016. It is called Gutha.
It sure is. Thanks for watching
Someone's joy once
Definitely, could be again with some serious elbow grease.
A Bushells sign 🥰 What's the song playing??
A few different songs on there, at what point of time in vid do wish to know ?
Would've enjoyed this more without music, cool though!
Glad you enjoyed it, I’ll no longer be putting music on the abandoned building videos. I’m always open to constructive criticism and I thank you for that. Hopefully you’ll enjoy future uploads, thanks for watching.
Any indication where this might be ? Between where and where ?
North of morowa in wa wheat belt
Is this along the Great Eastern Highway?
Inland from Geraldton near morowa.
Mate you get around, i assume these videos are as you travel? how's the fuel bill
Yeah mate as I travel for work, I do contract farm work all over Australia. Currently sowing in wa so any chance I get I go exploring. Fuel bill, well it’s definitely my biggest expense but worth it to get remote and see the sights.
Could you make out the name on the shop? Love this.
Sign said BUSHELLS and had then been painted over with SHELL.
"Agent for state implement works" Then over the top of that was "Bushells"
Can anyone read what the name above the shop reada? I picked out "Bushells" but that's it.
DW SMITh “Agent for state implement works” is the two lots of lettering under the bushells signage.
Would have been a happening place back in the day.
Definitely so I would say, still has the bones to be rebuilt too I reckon. Perfect spot in middle of nowhere.
I live about sixty ks away from there.well known tourist attraction.
Nice, I do sowing season up the other end of this road each year.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide I’m in the Mingenew area
Nice, Very cool area. Some good eh’s near you.
Out near Morawa? From Moora here.
Yep that’s the one, north of morowa off the main rd near rail line.
I often wonder where are all the people are and when did they leave
The last people living there left only about a 18 months ago after a cyclone went through the area.
Where is this location? Does anyone know?
North of Morawa in wa wheat belt
It's called Gutha and someone loves there
Black desertor project .
Where is this ?
North of Morawa in wa wheat belt
Looks like someone has removed the old Discovery that was there...
And the other old wreck from beside the shop that was there last year…
Is that a Morris Minor 1000 out the front
It’s an Austin I believe
Without doubt a 1949/1950 Austin A40 if it had a floor mounted gear stick. After that gear stick was on the steering column. The 1947 & 1948 model did not have the small parking lights below the headlights ..... you can see where the parkers would have been.
Had a 1950 A40 as my first car in 1967. Great memories ad I'm sure the one in the vid could be behind quite a few great yarns. They were notorious for dropping out of 3rd gear ( bloody nuisance when cornering) and front shockers were bloody useless .... hit a pothole and you were still bouncing a minute later. Only cost me $100 so can't really complain !!
What’s the town ?
Gutha, wa wheat belt
I never understood no matter how far in land you go, you always find a boat. Seriously, why are there boats in the centre of Australia?! THERE'S NO WATER!!!
Ha ha, yep always a boat somewhere 😂😂
Why do people have to trash things? Vandalism is just so wrong, why dont they know?
Why can’t people just be good instead of bad.😔
Yes it’s very disheartening when you see senseless damage by people that just don’t have any respect for our history….
Bzzup,farken flies
No shortage of them….
Do u travel nsw
Yes I do at times, in nsw currently.
what's the name of the town
Gutha, wa wheat belt
FFS. Why didn’t you go into and film the house 😖😖😖 lol can you go back thanks boss👍🌮
Next time….. I’ll be back that way later in the year so I’ll do a part 2
Without a location description it is pointless.
Its North of Morawa in the western Australian wheat belt, If I stumbled across it I'm sure you could.
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide it’s called Gutha and the road is called Evaside just off Gutha W Road near the wheat railway station in Western Australia.
Ok but why the shit "music"
Either way if I put music on or not there’s a bit of criticism about it, so I think quiet background music isn’t too bad. What do you suggest ?
@@ablokeinatroopyaustraliawide
Quieter and bland. Like store music. I can listen or tune out. Go and see what the really successful channels do and emulate them.
You're welcome
Hey mate. Great footage. Here’s a question to you. When you were videoing, we’re you listening to music? If no, why is it that your viewers have to? Just asking. I usually read captions with the sound off as music is annoying. Every RUclipsr seems to think music is mandatory but it’s much more real to be in your shoes as it happens, if you get my drift. Nonetheless, keep up the videoing. 👍🏻🙏🦘
Yeah I think from now on I’ll drop the music on the abandoned buildings videos. Happy to take advice on my content, thank you.
