Honestly, one of my favorite lines from these two movies is when Broom and Rasputin are speaking in the library and Rasputin offers to tell him Hellboy's true name, and Broom responds with, "I already know what to call him. I call him Son."
This is one of my favorite scenes in cinematic history because it's just two friends hanging out, singing about their love life. It shows that even though Red is a demon and Abe is basically a fishman, they are just like everybody else. Del Toro really knows how to humanize two characters, especially Red, who are very different from each other and other people. This scene is a true work of art.
Hellboy: Well, your in love. Have a beer. Abe: Oh, my body's a temple. Hellboy: Well, now, it's an amusement park. Abe: No, no, no the glandular balance... Greatest bro line ever
Fitting
I need to remember that line for my Bro when he has love issues
"Abe: my bodies a temple" "Red: well now its an amusement park" "Abe: I can't" "Red: shut up and drink it would ya!"

He is hell spawn...his fate is hell.sure I'll do the dishes

"I wish father was here." Hellboy will always see Professor Broom as his father; the man who raised him and taught him what it meant to be a man

And hides the cigar! 😂

Course Hellboy say that his father was so full of advice, knowledge and knew what to say
"see as his father" - he IS his father. Being a biological ancestor doesn't automatically makes you father, but raising and teaching makes you father.
