Rip Big Jim Brown
My Father grew up watching this great...loved him...didnt take no shit from no one! Long Islands 🏝 Own...one if the greatest LAX players ever also. God Bless Jim...matt
I grew up in eastern Ohio. I was a Black 9 year old when Jim Brown was a rookie. I thought he was Superman.
Look at those Qauds...Matt
Rest in Peace to a Legend!!
Rest in power Mr. Brown. My favourite player of all time.
As a 12 year old boy in 1960, I was hunting for golf balls at Good Park course in Akron, Ohio. Afterward, I went to the clubhouse for a drink of water and there was Jim Brown. I was so shy, I wanted to approach and say hello but could not work up the nerve. I know he would have been cordial, but sure missed out on that opportunity. RIP Mr. Jim Brown.
I always loved watching footage of Mr. Jim Brown running over tacklers, breaking tackles and dashing to the endzone. Power football at its best. Jim Brown made it possible. BTW, 106 of his career 126 TD's came on the ground. The other 20 were TD receptions. Coudn't ask for anything more. R.I.P.P. (Rest in peace and power) Mr. Brown. You will be greatly missed.
Brown like Butkus was the best EVER! PERIOD...he'd kill today's players .Matt
A great Running back he's on my list. I see a player better than Tommy Girl? R.I. P.
Rest in peace jim brown ledge dairy jeff Boswell from Youngstown Ohio lives in Houston texas
It hurt when bill russell passed in 2022 but this hurts more my dad met JB in the 80s we still got the picture up in the house r.i.p to a legend
HE NEVER PLAYED IN A CONTROL ENVIRONMENT. HE PLAYED HALF A SEASON WITH A BROKEN WRIST. PLAYED NINE SEASONS AND NEVER MISS A GAME. EVERY TWO RUSHES WAS A FIRST DOWN. (5.2 YARDS PER CARRY STILL NO.1 AFTER 60 YEARS) HALL OF FAME LINEBACKER SAM HUFF ONCE SAID ABOUT JIM BROWN. I THOUGHT SUPERMAN CAME ON TELEVISION ON SATURDAY MORNINGS. NO, HE WEARS NO.32 AND HE PLAYS ON SUNDAYS FOR THE CLEVELAND BROWNS. JIM BROWN THE GREATEST ATHLETE EVER TO STEP ONTO AN FOOTBALL FIELD.
All the women Jim Brown abused over the decades can rest in peace finally.
As a little kid in the 1960s, I always thought Jim and the rest of the Browns looked bigger than their opponents in their home whites (Ross Fichtner even said, before the '64 championship game, "The Colts looks small in those blue jerseys"). That memory is one reason I keep hoping the team will go back to the all whites at home. Please, no more godawful all brown crap. RIP JB. The greatest player in NFL history.
He'd have been an awesome rugby player. I'd have had him at outside center or either wing, maybe full back.
Rest in peace jim brown jeff Boswell
RIP Mr. Brown. Legends never die, they do, however, continue to grow. ⭐
HHe did his with 12 game season. Payton did his with 14 game season. Smith di9d his with 16 game season. Equals Brown wwas rhe greatest..
You want a class act learn about Walter Peyton who was the greatest man that played running back. Abusers are disqualified Jimmy.
All time backfield from the 1960s? Gale Sayers at half back, Jim Brown at full back. QB? Johnny Unitas. Flanker? Lenny Moore or Tommy McDonald. Split end? Gary Collins. Tight end? John Mackey. Three Baltimore Colts, two Cleveland Browns, one Chicago Bear, and McDonald a Philadelphia Eagle, Dallas Cowboy, LA Ram, Atlanta Falcon, and Cleveland Brown. The rest, except Unitas, a Charger his last season, played just for one team.
They say he averaged over 100 yards per game, but he also scored 126 TDs in 118 regular season games, so he averaged more than a TD per game too. That's not including his 3 passing TDs. I think his all-time total is 130 TDs in 122 games.
