R.I.P. Jim Brown, the greatest player in the history of the NFL. I have watched the NFL since the 1950's so my humble opinion on this does have merit since I have seen a lot of great players over the many years.
I wish I can say I am a lifelong fan but I was always a hockey and baseball fan growing up but when I started following football it was the Browns that pulled me in. I love the history behind this team and I only want them to win. I may not have grown up a fan but I am here through all the heartache and I cant wait to see the greatness that is coming because oh boy is it coming. Browns for the rest of my life!
He had it all. Power, speed, quickness, great vision, everything. Excellent receiver coming out of the backfield as well. Read his blocks perfectly. What people forget is that in that in his era, a running back shared carry’s with the other back aligned with him in the split tee formation. Jim got the majority of the carry’s, but Leroy Kelly and others, including Bobby Mitchell, got their share as well. If Jim would have played in the following era, lined up in the I formation with a blocking fullback in front of him, and was the sole ball carrier like O. J, Campbell, Dickerson, Payton, Sanders, and all the other great backs in the next era, he would have set records that no one would ever touch. Ever!!
There have been a number of great running backs, Sanders, Payton, Dickerson, et al. A number of them have inspired the emotions of amazement and frustration on the part of the defenses. In sixty years of watching football, only one has been associated with the emotion of FEAR. That one would be the great Jim Brown. Imagine what it would be like to cause eleven large men to be afraid for you to have the football in your hands during a game.
This is the 3rd or 4th Jim Brown feature I have looked at since his passing. He was such a draw, a great man...the world is a better place thanks to him, even more so off the field.
Probably the greatest athlete of all time. Not merely football. That was the tip of his Christmas Tree of Physical gifts!! A Six Foot-Two Inch dark Adonis with every conceivable physical attribute that God could endow an athlete with. Even more than Power and Speed, the one thing that LEAPS out at the viewer was his incredible BALANCE!! Jim Brown was like a moving Oak Tree. A sprinting Redwood that couldn't be knocked off his feet. Or brought down. Physically or Spiritually. More remarkable is the training in Browns era wasn't at today's scientific level. THE BODY OF JIM BROWN WAS A FUTURISTIC LOOK AT WHAT MAN COULD BECOME. A code that a Genetic Engineer couldn't Crack or duplicate. No more than any back will ever recreate his wondrous feats on the football field. Or any other sporting arena. Jim Brown was the GOAT. Of football and every other athletic endeavor.
The reason Jim Brown left the Browns in 1966, was because he was going be late to training camp. He was filming a movie and they ran late in filming. Art Modell told him to be on time for training camp or retire. It was years of bad blood between the Browns and Jim Brown for Art Modell response. They would later make amens, and Jim Brown would take a Job with the Browns. My dad stated Leroy Kelly step in an had wonderful season, that help save Modell.
No team in the league has better Team coverage then ya'll do with the Browns. Keep up the lack of b.s. and quality content, been keeping the content consistent for few years now.

Lacrosse = Jim Brown on a field, Jim Brown on a field with a stick. That's pretty damn scary in itself.

I don’t think Browns would have won the 1966 NFL championship even if Brown had played. They never beat the Packers with Brown.
Like Muhammad Ali, #32 Jim Brown, the GREATEST RB in NFL history without question!
yes Tom Brady is the greatest QB ever but Brown is the real football GOAT
Otto Graham. Browns QB. 1946 - 1955. 10 years, 10 championship appearances, 7 championships. Just sayin
#32 Jim Brown # 32 Sandy Koufax both retired at 30
Class act,RIP Mr.Brown.
This is a “Man” !

If only we could transfer Jim Browns conscience into Baker....
I hate to say this, but the great Jim Brown is slipping.
His mind is solid, he is only 85 years old.
@@pierretampa What do you mean by “only 85 years old?” 85 is old. Let’s face it.
@@frederickrapp5396 , most people up in age do slipped .
