If anyone's curious about Misato - I had my reasons but we ran out of room for detailed ones:
-Maternal figure to Shinji, absolutely doesn’t want to be a part of her role.
-Intense trauma with expectations vs. personal goals.
-Sapphic tension with Ritsuko Akagi.
-Narrative punching bag because of the narrative, not the fanbase.
-Adept at social navigation.
-Can go apeshit (End of Evangelion).
-Can be very silly.
-Very Porrim energy.

Okay so kind of a ramble but my mom adores the expanse and one day I asked her “Do you have a character that is so similar to you that you have an unreasonable attachment to them?” And she said “Naomi from the Expanse, 100%.” It just brought me so much joy to see someone my mom loves into relation with one of my favorite pieces of media period. Just wanted to ramble.
