Last time I went to London, I went to have high tea with my family in a very English high end tea salon. There were many Arab/ Middle Eastern women, all in long covering black garb, with a black cloth on their face. They had to lift the facial cloth from their mouth each time they took a bite of pastries, and each time they sip some tea. It was total consternation for us. We wanted to be in the UK, enjoy British traditions, not to be in Northern Africa or in the Middle East. UK MUST protect its borders, its identity and its original people.
I too want to be in the UK and enjoy British traditions which are non existant in the country any more. I am sad to see all the British businesses have disappeared too. The english language is rarely heard.

My sisters and I discussed how to provide care for our mother, and we could never accept someone who could not speak english, or who spoke with such a strong accent our mother would not be able to converse with them. We refused to risk her well-being and comfort. Truthfully, I am glad I left the career and am caring for my mother. She is the sweetest lady, and all of us are happy with the decision.
Elder abuse is rampant in our care homes, and it is men as well as women being abused. Before anyone is allowed to care for our loved ones, we need a 15 year background check to be confident they are not evil. It is impossible to get that background check when people are coming from foreign countries which do not share documentation, or even collect documentation.

People on work visa and their dependents are not eligible to your benefit. Their visa does not give them access to public fund, which your peanut benefit is part.

Agree but the exchange rate is attractive so is the NHS education housing sanitation infrastructure benefits. They can recoup those costs and still save thousands. Am an Indian migrant too and have first hand experience of how this works in the developing world. Have lived in Asia Africa Middle East.

Pisses me off.
My mother was in a care home for the last few months of her life. Many of the care workers were Indian and African and they were very difficult to understand. Also, there have been far too many cases of foreign care workers with fake qualifications putting the lives of people in their care at risk. We don't need criminals. Stay in your own countries and earn a living there.
Anything similar to deportations to Rwanda - which are TEMPORARY, and we must have who knows how many there that they don't want?

There are plenty of unemployed British people who could fill these jobs. All that needs to be done is for care agencies to pay them the equivalent of the cost of living. I've known several people who have had to leave care work because their wages don't afford them enough to pay rent AND eat! 😠
These British recruitment agencies should be punished not the scammed people...sad.

The Indian students on student visas were told by the Agencies that migration was guaranteed through the education route. Yes scammers must be arrested.

It's ignorant to the country itself & I'm glad there toughening up on borders, immigration for the poorest parts that take it for one, the North of England is in a right mess through this issue! you know the poorest parts of England you probably don't careless about.

My mum had African male carers for the last year of her life. They were incredible and really cared for my Mum in her own home. Couldn't fault them.
