I bought the A2 yesterday. It was no 8 in my collection (A1, C1+, B10 and D1) I am not a professional photographer. Just love Profoto a lot. The best system in the world. Looking forward to try it out and the new octa softbox to go whit it. Profoto is going strong with light shaping stuff for the A-series now. Something we asked for a long time.
As someone who has invested in Profoto they are great, but they are over priced. But like any professional set up you should have some level of redundancy so having two triggers is advised of course With Profoto that is expensive.
I've used Profoto only a few times. I love their reliability and consistency, but I'm not sure my business' finance allow me to use them exclusively at the moment.
@@alexsilva_co Yeah, it is a tough choice balancing the budget vs needs with so many other viable options especially for strobes. I will say the only reason I made the plunge was because I work regularly with couple other photographers on corporate events, mass headshot sessions etc. So having parity of gear with them made sense. But if I was a lone gun, I probably would have gotten either Godox or Westcott (which is just rebranded) but for most stuff they'd work great. Just not sure for mass all day heashot sessions...

what do you need all that stuff for if you arent professional
I wish I could find a C1+, hard to find. Great collection.
You mentioned the magnets are strong. Will they pose any issues with camera gear?
I don't think so. The magnets seem to be as strong as the ones in the Magmod system, which doesn't seem to interfere with the camera gear.
can you connect A10 with A2 together?
Can I use this flash as external flash for an Iphone 14 Pro?
Check with Profoto - but you should be able to… since it has Bluetooth which can be triggered from the Profoto app.
Yes you can. Tried it yesterday.

II think that all profoto products are 50% higher than they should be.
