First off I want to tell you that one of the reasons why I follow you is because you're very open and honest, or so it seems. Second thank you for being so honest with botox, which I'm pretty sure a lot of us that have been following you for a while assumed you had something done to your face. I can totally relate to you when it comes to your mother not being so girly or showing you "girly" things. I can thank my mom for showing me to always moisturize my face, so thanks to that, I'm a 34 year old woman with the skin of a 20 year old. Thanks again for being so open and honest with us even though you don't have to. I really respect that a lot. You don't have to feel insecure, like ever, because you're so pretty and your personality makes you even more pretty.

Botox & Fillers Are Completely Different:
Although both injectables, they’re two very different things. Botox relaxes muscles and is primarily used to reduce wrinkles caused by intense facial expressions. Areas such as in between the eyes (the frown lines) are the perfect place for Botox because those wrinkles are caused by continuous muscle movement. Fillers, on the other hand, add volume to lift the face and can smooth targeted folds and wrinkles such as marionette lines. Fillers can also be used to add volume to the lips and structure to the face.
Botox Can Prevent Wrinkles
By stopping certain muscles from actively engaging, Botox can help prevent further wrinkles forming. It’s also worth noting that when the effects of your Botox wear off (this can be anything from three to 12 months, depending on your metabolism), your skin won’t be any worse than it was prior to treatment - sort of like freezing time.
Botox Isn’t Just For Fine Lines:
Botox can genuinely change people’s lives - it's been used for years outside of cosmetic medicine to treat people with nerve damage and excessive bodily sweating.
Fair Skin May Benefit From Botox Sooner:
Those with fair skin often wrinkle quicker, as the less melanin skin has, the thinner it tends to be. In such cases, Botox can help to soften fine lines. Additionally, if you spend a lot of time in the sun, it may be worth using a little Botox to help stop you from frowning or squinting, which we often do when it’s sunny.
Fillers Can Be Subtle:
If you’re one of the many women who hear the word ‘filler’ and think overdone cheekbones and huge lips, then it’s time to reconsider. When done right, fillers - most of which are made of hyaluronic acid, an element that’s already in the skin - are a minimally invasive, totally reversible way to restore lost volume in the face. Along with adding volume to lips and cheeks, they can also sculpt and lift the jawline and chin, fill out under-eye hollows and improve the profile of flattened noses.
There’s Little Down-Time:
Both Botox and fillers can cause a very minor amount of redness, but this tends to fade a couple of hours post-treatment. You’re more likely to bruise after fillers as the material is thicker and the needle is injected deeper into skin but, in the right hands, neither treatment will cause significant pain and there’s no downtime - just avoid wearing make-up or doing strenuous exercise for 12 hours afterwards.
Costs Vary Widely:
Everywhere seems to be offering cosmetic treatments these days, so do your research to make sure your salon and practitioner are reputable. Check their reviews and price list - costs should start from around £150 for one area, and can go up to £500 if fillers are involved. Make sure the clinic you choose is accessible in case any corrections need to be made; mobile clinics may be hard to track down following your appointment.

I work for a facial surgeon. As someone who has had a lot of reconstruction surgery after a car accident. I applaud you for finally speaking about your botox. It really is an amazing tool! You would really love the outcome of a lower blepharoplasty (lower eyelids). Get a consult if u haven’t. There are sooo many great surgeons in your area!

I think it’s so awesome that you made a video about this! I feel like so many people are SO judgmental about ANY kind of cosmetic “fix” but honestly, there are so many amazing things like Botox and fillers that can take a girls confidence to the next level. I get the whole “accept yourself as you are” thing but also, if you don’t find something about your face or appearance attractive and you CAN change it, why not?

The fact that anyone leaves negative comments blows my mind! One of the reasons I love watching you is because you have natural beauty. You and Whit are the only 2 fitness youtubers I watch, y’all both have actually helped me lose 25lbs and counting. I don’t have perfect skin either. Thank you so much for teaching girls to love themselves regarless of their skin situation. I had horrible acne in my early 20's and its finally clearing up now that im closer to 30. I would avoid going out because I was so self conscious of my skin. Watching your videos reminds me to love myself no matter what other people think. Nikki I love your honesty about your skin. I am 25, and going through around the same issues you seem to be going through. It's hard because I never had any bad break outs when I went through puberty and now I struggle with problem adult skin. It's been really hard but you are so beautiful either way and of course so confident. You inspire me to not let me worry about my skin quite as much and also just let it breathe.
You are beautiful no matter what - forehead wrinkles and all. And any time I see your imperfections - zits, whatever - I’m like, “Hey, I have zits too!” Haha. We can relate. 😉😝 Also, I would never have guessed you get Botox! It looks very natural and I am glad you can move your eyebrows and still have facial expressions. Some peoples faces look very frozen and stiff when they get Botox and it looks really unnatural. 😬

You're beautiful no matter what. Some people just think that they can say whatever they want because you show yourself on the internet, but we're all brave behind our screens. I've dealt with hypertrophic scars in my shoulders since I was a teenager and some people stares at me like I'm sick or asks me what happened to me, which is really uncomfortable. I've grown more confident but it still gets me sometimes. Thanks for this video, and remember you're beautiful ❤️

I have struggled with the look of my teeth for years, and last year I started Invisalign and everyone said “you don’t need it” “your teeth aren’t even that bad” but in the end of the day it affected my confidence and how I expressed my happiness. So it was a big deal to me and it was in my budget to afford it. Nothing wrong with loving yourself, while simultaneously making improvements to help your confidence!! I love you and your real ness!
