Great Stuff. My grand parents bought a cub right after WW2 I learned how to drive on the cub,It still runs to this day. IH red runs deep in my family. Best to all you Farmers.
Wow Amazing find. I'm glad to hear there still being used rather than sitting in a museum. Them old tractors would rather earn there keep than sit still. I've seen that 5388 here on youtube before but never really knew the story. Thanks Pete.
well I know of a tractor in my community that is built like his 5388 with the magnum transmission and cab but instead of 88 series sheet metal it has 66 series sheet metal and he calls it a 1066 magnum it's an amazing work of art
International made some really good tractors. My dad had one a year model before this and ran it up until 2011 it still runs but its some what retired now. IHC awsome tractors.
Machinery Pete i wish you would come to my town we could talk about tractors from dusk to dawn we have some pretty interesting tractors on are farm and in are town.
Nice video. I've got an IHC 5488 (2WD) with about 4500 hrs, repainted, used very lightly. I always wondered if there was a demand for them, or a particular series of them. Some feedback on what to look for in regards to uniqueness for that tractor would be appreciated.
Machinery Pete, do you know where this tractor was originally from? Our neighbor had a 1086, and when he quit farming he sold everything. A couple years later there was a rumor in the neighborhood that he had the first serial number 1086 and he sold it.
Hi Pete, I love your videos!!!!!! I posted some of the ones you did with the 90 year old dealers etc on my forum canadianantiquetractor I would love you to join my forum and promote your interviews on there

I used to operate 1086 back in 2007 when I was a teen. It still had a working ac😂 it’s still going strong to this day except ac doesn’t work anymore.
I love these old tractors.

Another great story Greg. Thanks to you and Danny for sharing. Would like to the 1066 he has too. I don't know if I've seen a narrow front 1066.
