  • Freestyle Friday is a tying series where we tie "off the cuff" as it were, bringing an idea to life based off of the variability provided by natural materials in which one must react to such variation in the moment to create the desired outcome.
    This lesson focuses on the Technique of Stripping Ostrich Hurl, allowing tier's to "turn" the stripped stems, created a Ostrich Hollow Fly!
    I first learned this technique in 2019 by Jason Taylor, yet the technique has been around for ages and is applicable to other feathers and tying styles.
