    Thank you so much. I always find your tutorials so easy to follow. I have been able to make multiple blankets using different patterns thanks to you. This one was more complicated but I still managed to follow along and begin a new blanket tonight. I think this will be the most beautiful one yet.

    Thank you for explaining the terms from the UK in US because there are a lot of people out there, who crochet in the US so they probably don't understand the UK terms so it's great that you're explaining the terms.

    I very rarely add comments to anything, but wanted you to know that after watching, I am surprised how easy this stitch is, and very beautiful. I learned to crochet from your tutorials (I just love them) and have fallen in love with a new hobby!! I needed something to fill my time as my youngest son was off to college and your tutorials did that for me!! I am so excited for you as you start the next step in growing your family!! Best wishes to you and your hubby!!!

    I don’t know if this video is moderated for comments anymore but if it is…I’m stumped as to create a clean edge for a border. I have 4 different scenarios to contend with 🤪
    I saw the suggestion to use double and half treble at the top, but what do I do with the five chain edge and the small windows on the left edge?
    -Stumped
    Overall all though, this is my first every blanket straight out of “training” with your absolute beginners video series and I’m just tickled! You are a natural educator and I’m grateful for you!

    Excellent tutorial. I also am a visual learner, and your tutorial was very easy to follow. I just learned Catharine's Wheel, so this was a welcome pleasure! Also, although this looks like a fancy pattern, it is very easy to do. Thanks so much, from a relative newbie.

    This is a really nice pattern , but I think I’m going to have to get some practice in first. You do a lovely job explaining yourself and helping us to understand how to make something so beautiful. Thank you, 🙋‍♀️🧶🧣

    I was in a mental health class with someone who crocheted. She gave me a washcloth in this stitch (pattern) and sparked my interest (which developed into a passion) for crocheting. It has taken me YEARS to find what pattern she used!!! She modified it a tiny bit, but it's a dead ringer for the side saddle stitch!!!
    Bella, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
    Sincerely,
    A crocheter who is all thumbs

    Absolutely love this channel. I am very much a visual learner and struggle to create pieces based off of written instructions alone, so this has helped me increase my skills immensely!! Can you do a tutorial for an owl inside a granny square? I've seen it all over Pinterest and I have a friend having a baby that loves owls, would love to incorporate this into her blanket but I'm struggling with the written pattern.

    Such a beautiful stitch!! I'm practicing now and am actually going to make a scarf using your tutorial. Can you please tell me this....at the end of row 3, after I've worked a sc (US term) into that 5 chain space; how many do I "chain" at end of row 3 before turning to start row 2 again? Thank you so much!!! Really lovely!!!

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  3 года назад +1

      You're welcome 😊 At the end of row 3 you should chain 5 again ready to begin row 2. You can find the written instructions over on my blog too: bellacococrochet.com/side-saddle-stitch/

    Do you have advice on how to make the top row end flat instead of curly?

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  3 года назад

      You could work a row using stitches of different heights along the top to straighten it - for example working double crochets (UK terms) and half treble crochets into the dips 😊

    I love how this looks but I am having trouble finding that stitch above the cluster... :-\

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  4 года назад

      It can be tricky until you get the hang of it - a helpful tip I find is to use stitch markers when you're making the cluster stitches to pop through the stitch before you make the chain one. Then when you are working on the next row you can identify the stitch easily 😊
