Been using this head for months now, and I can honestl say, personally, that for the price range, the quality is superb. Really great sound, and I love how light the head is. I really recommend it.

I came across this amp in AMS and after watching this video a few weeks ago, thought I would give it a try. I also needed a new cabinet but I didn’t like the choices. Yesterday, I was fortunate to find a Behringer Ultrabass BB410 1200W 4x10 Bass Cab for sale in Craigslist, but I had to drive 3.5 hours to get it, but I am not disappointed in the least. It is in perfect shape, barely used, and the owner basically gave it away at the price he charged me, so it was worth the drive.
Today I jammed for two hours and I am extremely pleased with this amp which I just got last week. The amp is incredibly clean, more power than I will need and definitely worth every penny and it is small. I really like the options of the new amps today and so much has changed since 2011 since I bought my last combo.
    1. I cannot settle on whether I like Gain 1 or Gain 2 better. Both sound great. Gain 1 has a nice solid bass sound for like BB King and Hendrix songs. Gain 2 gives me an edge for Alternate rock, Zeppelin, Seger, Eagles, etc.
    2. The Shape and Level work well, but I am not sure how to use them but I have three weeks before our next gig and I will figure it out.
    3. The EQ works well but is very touchy and it doesn’t take much to change the sound.
    4. My favorite selection is the Compressor. This helps my bass sound a lot and it keeps each note as a nice sounding thump without string noise.
    5. As for Ultrabass, I am not sure if I’ll ever use but it’s there if I want.
I barely turned up the power on this amp and the cabinet was loud, but clean and powerful.
The original cabinet owner had a Behringer 1200 watt amp when I tested out the BB410 and it was sweet. I have a different bass and only this 300 watt amp, but I knew it would still sound great and I am not disappointed.
I highly recommend this amp, but buy the correct cabinet also. The cabinet is 4.Ohm and so is this amp. The amp's manual shows a BB410 cabinet pictorial for the amp, and that is how I got the idea to Google for one but I had no idea that it was sold years ago. I was very lucky to find one.
Overall, it is a great amp and along with the BB410 cabinet, and probably one of the best rigs I have ever owned.

I have a 8ohm 400watt cabinet! Will it work with if and if so would it be loud?

do you have the option to disable the equalizer?

Not on this model Zero, but you can always set the 7 EQ pegs to "Zero" which will essentially make your EQ passive. (Flat)

True story... it is always good to start at flat and just take out the frequencies that you don't like hearing. really dial that tone in.
This is a cool head for the price... Id pay double for all the features it has.

I actually decided to purchase it in august for my electric guitar and it does the job,
      perfect price too $149.99,
i just can't believe that for an electric guitar amp head at the same wattage it would cost $400 more just to do the same job.

      here's an example
      300 usd
for a 50 watt guitar amplifier head
made by the same company "music-group"
with unnecessary features that i can get out of a pedal,

Hey guys, I have been using this as an experiment with my guitar rig. I am really big on nice clean tones and have used a GK backline600 for years as it has a really nice solid state sound for guitar. People give me a hard time but anything you would recommend adding or doing to this head to get the most out of it in regards to building a cool, unique guitar tone? thanx

      Waylon Wood
      get an xtomp
it's $250 but you can get sam ash to price match it with adorama camera, it can emulate speaker cabinets as well as amplifiers
either one will shape the tone.

I've known a lot of guitarists that use bass amps as their guitar amp. They love the sound and some even use a bass cabinet also for the deeper sound, especially playing blues and R&B.

i came to this comment section to see if anyone else has been using it as a guitar head. kind of cool im not the only one.. it sounds GREAT for guitars, ur not lying. u can really dial it in. if u want a fat sound or definition.

if u want some extra ummmpfff u can throw a OD808 by maxon thru the FX loop (send and return) along with a distortion. my distortion has a EQ on it which id recommend if u plan on using any sort of fuzz or distortion being that if u throw those pedals thru the send and return it will bypass the EQ but from what i read using and od808 as preamp is ideal thru the FX loop, but it can be done any way. in front of the amp or behind.
